Chapter 64 - The Blanche System

Daniel awoke in the peaceful meadow, his body and mind fully restored. The Blanche Blessing hummed warmly inside his chest, a gentle, constant regeneration of sanity that felt like cool moonlight flowing through his veins.

Jeanne du Blanche was gone. Only a faint trace of white light lingered in the air where she had stood.

He stood up, golden baton in hand, and the pocket dimension dissolved around him.

He returned to the rebuilt command center of M.E.G. Base Alpha.

The moment he stepped through the node, he felt it — a new, pure silver-white presence in the room.

Vannia stood in the center of the command floor, surrounded by the other Chosen. Her entire body glowed with a soft, ethereal silver light. Her eyes, usually sharp and determined, now carried a luminous quality that reminded him of Jeanne du Blanche.

She turned the moment he appeared.

"Daniel."

Her voice was the same, yet it carried a new resonance — calm, steady, and filled with quiet power.

Vannia walked toward him. As she moved, faint silver-white particles trailed behind her like falling snow.

"I awakened it while you were gone," she said simply. "The Blanche System."

She raised her right hand. A beautiful silver-white interface materialized above her palm, different from the usual golden Chosen interface.

Vannia stopped in front of him, her silver aura gently mingling with his golden one.

"When you entered the Lost Corridor, I felt something break inside me. The fear of losing you… the grief over my parents… everything. Then Jeanne appeared to me. She said you were pushing yourself to the brink again. She gave me this system so I could stand beside you properly — not just as a fighter, but as someone who can protect your mind when you protect everyone else."

She looked up at him, her expression soft but resolute.

"I won't let you fight alone anymore, Daniel. Not when your sanity is on the line. Not when Allseer is waiting for the perfect moment to strike."

Mia stepped closer, eyes wide with a mixture of awe and worry.

"The system is… different. It's not about destruction or power. It's about clarity. Protection. Healing the mind."

Daniel looked at Vannia for a long moment. The silver-white light around her felt familiar — it was the same light Jeanne had used to save him from his rampage.

He reached out and gently took her hand.

The golden and silver lights mingled, creating a soft, harmonious glow between them.

"Thank you," he said quietly. "For not letting me carry this alone."

Vannia squeezed his hand.

"We're in this together now. You have the Symphony. I have the Blanche System. Whatever comes next — Allseer, the remaining shadows of the Party Creators, or even the stirrings from The Zero Point — we'll face it as one."

The other Chosen watched in silence, sensing the shift.

The Conductor was no longer fighting with just his orchestra of souls and symphonies.

He now had a Guardian of Clarity by his side — someone who could protect his sanity when the weight of the Backrooms tried to break him.

Daniel looked at Vannia, the golden baton still in his other hand.

"The Lost Challenge gave me answers… and new questions. But with this," he said, glancing at their joined hands, "we're stronger than before."

Outside the base, the Backrooms waited.

Allseer was still moving in the shadows.

The shadow of No. Infinity stirred in its prison.

But for the first time, the Conductor and his closest ally stood together with complementary systems — Symphony and Blanche.

The final movement was approaching.

And they would face it as one.
