Chapter 5 - CHAPTER 5: RECORD OF DEMONS

The air in the underground archive was ancient and still, smelling of parchment, cold stone, and the faint, ozonic scent of dormant mana. Kayden sat cross-legged on the floor, the silver-latched scroll of the Demon Domain unfurled before him. His vertical green pupils darted across the text, absorbing the foundational secrets of the continent he now called home.

The record began with a stark comparison of the three races. Unlike the humans of his past life—fragile beings who had to labor for years just to perceive the flow of energy—demons were born predators. The scroll noted that while humans spent their youth trying to "unlock" their potential, a demon was born with their Mederarians (mana-veins) and acupoints already partially active. They were biologically engineered for the harvest of power.

As Kayden read further, the sheer scale of the journey ahead began to take shape. The power system of the Demon Continent was divided into nine distinct realms, a ladder of ascension that transformed a mortal body into a vessel for the primordial.

The Nine Realms of the Abyss

Initial Warrior Realm

Advanced Warrior Realm

Expert Warrior Realm

Peak Warrior Realm

Demon Realm

Transcendent Demon Realm

Mystic Realm

Void Realm

Primordial Demon Realm

To reach the pinnacle of the Sky Demon Art, one had to stand at the threshold of the ninth realm. The scroll emphasized a chilling requirement: only those of the seven royal bloodlines—the pure demon clans—could summon the Sky Demon Spirit Body, the ultimate manifestation of the art.

The Seven Gates and the 114 Points

The core of demon cultivation relied on the Seven Chakra Gates and the opening of 114 Chakra Points. As Kayden studied the diagrams, he realized that demon cultivation was a map of the body's internal geography.

1st Realm: Initial Warrior (The Root Gate): To master this stage, a cultivator had to open the first 20 chakra points, primarily located in the legs and at the very base of the spine. The Root-Chakra acted as a filter, removing bodily impurities. Once opened, the fundamental energy flow of the body could never be blocked again. It was the foundation of the house.

2nd Realm: Advanced Warrior (The Sacral Gate): This required opening points 21 through 40, centered on the lower abdomen and hips. The Sacral-Chakra functioned as the demon's version of a dantian. It was here that energy was no longer just filtered, but stored and utilized.

3rd Realm: Expert Warrior (The Solar Plexus Gate): This stage involved points 41 through 60, located in the diaphragm and the core. The Solar Plexus-Chakra was the "Externalizer." It allowed a demon to finally push their internal energy outside their skin, manifesting as a physical force or a protective shroud.

4th Realm: Peak Warrior (The Heart Gate): Opening points 61 through 80 in the chest and arms. The Heart-Chakra was a forge of amplification. Any energy passing through it would double in intensity, allowing for the devastating strikes the royal clans were known for.

5th Realm: Demon Realm (The Throat Gate - Part I): This was the Great Barrier. Focusing on points 81 through 95 in the neck and vocal cords, the cultivator faced their most dangerous task: The Inner Demon. To reach the Demon Realm, one had to conquer their own psychological shadows. Failure meant madness or death.

6th Realm: Transcendent Demon Realm (The Throat Gate - Part II): Focusing on points 96 through 105 in the face and jaw. The Throat-Chakra served to unify the lower chakras into a single, cohesive force. It turned a collection of energy gates into a unified engine of destruction.

7th Realm: Mystic Realm (The Third Eye Gate): Opening points 106 through 112 in the brain and temples. The Third Eye-Chakra granted advanced intuition, the ability to perceive spiritual threads, and a heightened sense of the world's flow.

8th Realm: Void Realm (The Crown Gate): The final physical points, 113 and 114, at the pinnacle of the skull. The Crown-Chakra enabled spiritual communication with the universe itself, allowing the demon to draw power directly from nature rather than relying solely on internal reserves.

9th Realm: Primordial Demon Realm: The unification of all 7 gates and 114 points. Only here could a lord summon the Primordial Sky Demon Soul, a titan of energy that could level cities.

Kayden leaned back, his mind reeling. In the Caligin Clan, the actual practice of moving Qi was forbidden until after the Blood Ritual. As an heir, his current task was purely intellectual—to memorize every vein, every point, and every gate so perfectly that when the ritual unlocked his potential, he wouldn't waste a single second.

The Seven Pillars of the Continent

The scroll also detailed the specialized arts of the seven ruling clans, each reflecting a different facet of demonic nature:

Caligin Clan : Their martial arts focused entirely on Body Strengthening. Unlike others, the Caligins fought without weapons. Their unique demon forms were considered the ultimate weapon; their skin was their armor, and their fists were their blades.

Crimson Clan: Masters of Fire Element techniques, turning the battlefield into a literal hellscape.

Azure Clan : Devoted entirely to the Art of the Blade, seeking the perfect strike.

Blood Clan : Practitioners of Blood Sorcery, capable of manipulating the very life force within their enemies' veins.

Ghost Spirit Clan : They sealed restless spirits into unique metallic puppets, commanding armies of the undead.

Mystic Clan : Specialists in Sealing and Soul Arts, capable of trapping even the most powerful entities.

Noxious Clan : Experts in Poison, Formations, and Weaponry, preferring to win through attrition and tactical traps.

Kayden closed the general record, his fingers trembling slightly with a mix of fear and excitement. He understood the map now. He knew the hierarchy of the world he was destined to conquer. But knowledge was merely the shell; he needed the core.

He reached for the second scroll—the legendary Sky Demon Art. This was the manual that his father, Keal Caligin, had used to ascend to the status of a Demon God. It was the key to his survival and his revenge.

Kayden grasped the dark, heavy spindle of the scroll. He prepared to unfurl the secrets of body-strengthening and shadow-manipulation that would allow him to fight without a sword. He pulled at the edge of the parchment, expecting the ancient script to reveal itself.

The scroll didn't budge.

He frowned, applying more pressure. The leather was supple, and the gold seal was broken, yet the scroll felt as though it were made of solid, unyielding iron. He tried to force it open with his five-year-old strength, but it remained stubbornly shut, as if the very paper were judging him.

A cold realization settled in his gut. The library guards had let him in, and the Elder had given him the techniques, but the Sky Demon Art was alive. It was a sentient record that required something more than just a royal token to be read.

Kayden stared at the closed scroll, the green of his eyes flaring in the dim light of the archive. He was in a race against time, with the Awakening Ritual looming in two months, and the very first step of his path was locked behind a door he didn't know how to open. After thinking for a moment he realized something " Kayden bit his thumb and poured his blood in to the scroll".
