Chapter 10 - 10

While the human territory is at peace, some areas in the dwarven territory have been enveloped with the fog of war.

Since the moment the NE infected giant ant colony has caused several dwarves miners to go missing. The dwarves have sent investigation teams to check the situation.

The investigation team has indeed succeeded in finding the ant colony that has killed some dwarf miners. But as they had entered too deep within the ant colony, the giant ants successfully annihilated the dwarf's investigation team.

Even the few Peak Level 0 blessed within the investigation team failed to escape.

After annihilating the investigation team, several ants successfully raised their level by absorbing the NE generated by the dwarf's death. Two giant ants that have long been on the verge of advancement have even reached Level 1.

Although the ant colony has successfully annihilated the first squad and allowed many ants to level up. But the investigation team's failure to return has raised the dwarf's concern.

This time, the dwarf city decided to seek reinforcement from nearby cities before sending another investigation team.

But just like before, the investigation team failed to return.

Sensing massive trouble, the city's council representative requested support from the capital city.

Because of the limited travel speed during the era, it took two months before another investigation team was created.

Because the place they're investigating is inside a mine full of tunnels. The investigation team is made up of a small number of elite dwarves.

There are dozens of Level 0 blessed with one Lower Level 1 earth element blessed called Voden. He has been sent by the dwarf council from the capital city together with a few Level 0 blessed to help the city's case.

Voden led the investigation team into the mine and quickly found the extra tunnels that had been reported.

After telling his teammates to be careful, Voden walked in front of his teammates and prepared to use his ability any second.

The team continued to advance until they met dozens of giant ants.

Upon seeing the ants, Voden moved away so his ally could kill the ants without injuring him.

While his allies were killing the ants, he always kept his eyes on the battle and on the surroundings.

Once the investigation team had killed all of the ants without any injuries, they continued forward while leaving behind the ant corpse.

It didn't take long before another group of ants arrived. This time, there is a giant ant that's one size bigger than the others.

Luckily, although that ant was slightly bigger and had a higher defense, the investigation team entirely consisted of blessed and easily killed that ant.

While feeling nervous, Voden commanded his team to continue forward.

When he found a third group of ants soon after, Voden commanded his team to kill it while he observed the battle with a frown.

"They're getting stronger and there are more of them." He concluded after his teammates finished killing the last ant in the group.

After some thought, Voden pointed at two dwarves, "I want both of you to return along our path and report our finding to the surface."

Once the two dwarves left the group, Voden led the others to continue forward.

As they continue to advance, the team passes through many branched paths while trying their best to remember every path.

They also occasionally met a small group of ants and found that the deeper they were, the more mutated giant ants there would be in an ant group.

After defeating several groups of ants, the team felt exhausted and looked for a safe area to rest.

But considering they're located inside a tunnel deep underground. Except for the size of the tunnel and whether there is a branching path, there is no difference at all among all the tunnels.

So, the team just continued forward slightly and rested in a relatively flat tunnel.

As it's deep underground, the dwarves didn't light any fire and only ate the rations they had brought.

Except for watching, a dwarf blessed with wind element power also used his ability to create fresh air for everyone to breathe and relax.

While his teammates rested, Voden didn't relax.

As the strongest, he rarely took action except for emergencies. That made him not as exhausted as the others.

With half-closed eyes, Voden constantly sensed the earth around him with his power. This way, he'll be able to sense any ambush from the enemies.

Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.

Luckily there weren't any giant ant attacks while they rested.

Once everyone felt refreshed, Voden commanded, "Let's continue our investigation. We'll just continue for a bit more, then we'll retreat and report it."

The other dwarves became even more lively upon hearing it. They cleaned the mess around them and continued their investigation.

As they marched further, the ants became stronger before finally, the ant group they met became weaker.

At last, they didn't even meet any ant group for a long time.

"Hmm? These last few groups of ants felt weaker. Have we passed by the center of this ant nest and reached the other side?"

Although Voden muttered so, he somehow felt a bit uneasy.

Considering the time they've spent in the underground, Voden decided to stop their investigation.

"Let's retreat for now. We'll report our current findings and wait for reinforcement before starting another round of investigation."

His word led to complete approval from the other dwarves.

Fighting against the giant ants while keeping the alertness has made the dwarves extremely exhausted.

During their return journey, the dwarves traced back their steps and followed the path they used to investigate the tunnels.

But midway through their travel, Voden paused and frowned. The others who saw Voden's sudden change in expressions also became nervous.

Without trying to comfort them, Voden touched the tunnel's wall with both of his palms while trying to strengthen his earth detection ability.

Soon, his expression changed, "There's a massive group of ants in front of us. Those ants are blocking the road we used to reach the surface. They're currently slowly walking towards our direction."

Vode quickly commanded, "Let's move deeper into the ant nest and look for a branch road to escape from the ants."

"Why are you so nervous, captain? How many ants did you see?" One of the dwarves asked while in doubt.

"Based on the surrounding earth's tremor, there are at least a hundred or even close to two hundred giant ants. Among them, there are around fifteen mutated giant ants and one incredibly massive ant that causes the dirt to tremble with every step."

"A hundred?!"

Everyone looked in shock before running deeper underground.

But before they even ran too far, Voden's expression changed, "Halt!"

He nervously placed his hand on the ground as his expression turned pale, "There's also a group in this direction. There are even more ants here than the one blocking our retreat!"

The others became pale when they heard the captain's words.

Although the amount of ants they have killed this far can indeed reach more than a hundred, those ants are spread in several groups.

After killing a group of ants and before meeting a new group, they have some time to restore their blessed power and fatigue.

But if they need to fight against close to two hundred ants continuously, they'll definitely get tired.

Getting tired mid-fight will certainly cause some casualties. Worst case scenario, their team might get wiped out entirely.

The dwarves looked at each other before Voden suggested, "Let's break through the ant group that blocks our retreat."

"I agree, it's better to try our best than waiting for death." One of the dwarves replied.

The other dwarves nodded and agreed with the idea.

The team quickly came to an agreement and moved toward the close to two hundred ants blocking their return path.

Once they saw the dense giant ant group, everyone in the team gulped.

Thankfully, the tunnel they're located in is quite small. It'll at most allow six giant ants to fight at the same time.

But that small tunnel is also a problem.

That means they need to kill most of the ants before they can pass the ant group and return to the surface.

There's also the group of ants slowly getting closer behind them.

If the two ant groups surrounded them in the middle, all of them would certainly die.

While taking a deep breath to calm down his nervousness, Voden commanded, "Attack!"

The dwarf blessed activated their abilities and easily killed the giant ants standing at the front.

While his teammates are busy killing the small fry, Voden keeps an eye on the overall situation and the supermassive giant ant looming behind the ant group.

Every time his teammates fell into danger, Voden activated his ability and summoned an earth spike from the ground.

Although the spike will encounter some resistance and occasionally fails to pierce the carapace of a Peak Level 0 giant ant, it can still knock the ant away and save his teammates from danger.

A few minutes quickly passes by and the dwarves have killed more than half of the ants. But the dwarves aren't happy at all.

During these few minutes, six of their comrades have died and some of them have run out of energy to cast their power.

At the same time, the other ant group has moved closer to their location.

Voden looked at the swarm of ants in front of him and gritted his teeth, "At least one of us must go out and report the situation!"

"Right now there are fewer giant ants than before. On the count of three, I'll try to open a path for you guys to escape." Voden said to his teammates.

"What about you, captain?" The others asked in concern.

"I'll make sure that big guy over there won't attack you guys," Voden said while pointing at the giant ant that hasn't made a move since the beginning.

When Voden saw his teammates still wanted to say something else, he immediately berated them. "Enough! The longer we dilly dally the lower our chance of success will be."

Voden immediately counted while preparing a big move, "1... 2… 3!"

The moment he said '3', Voden created several earth spikes that killed many ants.

Those spikes also separated the tunnels in front of them into two.

On one side, there are the massive Level 1 ants and several dozen ants. Meanwhile, on the other side, there are only less than tenants.

Volden felt incredibly exhausted to the point his knee trembled. This is also why he decided to stay behind.

If the team chooses to bring him, they'll be delayed and their chance of survival will be lower.

Volden's original team members, who also came from the capital, looked at him with sad eyes before running at the path he had created.

Together, they killed the few ants blocking their path.

Because they almost ran out of energy, the group mainly used their sword to attack.

Midway through the path, the Level 1 giant ant finally made a move.

When Voden, who was busy repelling the attack from several giant ants, saw it. He grinned and used the last bit of his energy to activate his power.

While the Level 1 giant ant crawled toward the escaping group, four earth spikes shot down from the tunnel's ceiling.

Two of them missed while one of them hit the back of the ant but failed to deal any damage due to the ant's carapace.

As for the last spike, it has coincidentally fallen right at the ant's eye.

Compared to the exoskeleton, the ant's relatively weaker eyes got injured from the falling spike.

While the Level 1 ants are twitching from the pain, the dwarves have finally left the tunnels Voden has made with his earth spikes.

The survivors looked at each other with a sad look while following the path to the surface.

Among the dozen dwarves who have entered, only four of them have escaped.

Initially, there were still nine of them who ran along the path Voden had created. But while they're running, five of the dwarves have either been killed by an attack or are too exhausted to move.

Luckily they didn't meet another ant group during their trip to the surface.

Once they escaped the mines, the dwarves took a deep breath. Some even cried when they felt the blowing wind.

Amidst the happiness of surviving a disaster, the dwarves failed to realize their strengthened power. One of them has even risen to Level 1 after absorbing a lot of Exp.

Cedric silently watched the dwarf's battle inside the mine.

After seeing the conclusion of the battle and seeing one of the escaped dwarves has reached Level 1, he sighed. "The dwarves lost several blessed and even one Level 1 dwarf to achieve this result."

He continued to observe the situation and saw the dwarf reporting their finding inside the cave to the city's council representative.

When the representative heard it, he ordered some dwarves to help the survivor to rest. Then he quickly ordered another group of dwarves to temporarily close the mines.

While the survivors were resting, the representative busied himself and sent several messages to the capital.

The messages mainly talk about dangerous ants invading their city's mines and the fact that a Level 1 blesser has died while battling against the ants.

The representative also mentioned that the dwarves who have successfully escaped the mines have grown stronger. He suspects there is something that can strengthen the dwarves inside the mines.

Although he felt the strengthening effect was coincidental. But the representative still added that fact in his messages.

This way, the council will see the benefit and move faster to handle the mess.

***

Inside the Divine Space, Cedric nodded in approval when he saw the council representative's move.

Thanks to the city's council representative, Cedric guessed that the Council would soon send a stronger investigation team or even their army that's usually used to cull magical beasts.

With the dwarf being prepared to handle the NE infected giant ants, Cedric moved his attention to the elves.

While the dwarves will soon enter an all-out war, the elves have been facing genocide all over the place.

During these few months, three small villages have been slaughtered by Level 1 demons together with some Level 0 demons.

The destruction of those three villages has strengthened one of the Level 1 demons and also caused two Peak Level 0 demons to advance to Level 1.

Actually, five small villages should've been affected. Luckily, the dragons arrived in time and saved two villages from being destroyed and also repelled some demons.

To be honest, Cedric felt a bit relieved when he saw the dragons successfully protect the elves.

After all, this is the first time he used Divine Intervention: Urge and he isn't sure about how effective it is or the specific effect.

But seeing how the dragon successfully differentiates the elves from other races, coupled with the fact that they knew how to kill the demons which are the source of the elf's trouble. He must say the Divine Intervention: Urge is indeed worthy to stand alongside the other Divine Intervention series items.

After the destruction of three villages, the news started to spread and the elves finally responded by sending some combatants.

Although Cedric called them combatants, that's simply because the average level of the group is quite high. Among the twenty-one elves, three of them are at Level 1 while the remaining elves are at Level 0.

In terms of combat experience, they're actually just normal elves who have at most killed some small animals.

Any human soldier who has entered war can easily fight elf combatants at the same level.

The moment those elf combatants arrived at the villages and saw the scene of carnage inside, all of them paled.

Inside the village, there are many traces of blood and even some body parts like limbs or a part of an elf's chest strewn around.

After digesting the sight, every single elf vomited at least once.

A slightly weak-willed elf has accidentally fainted before meeting the demons.

It took them half an hour to stabilize their emotions and another two hours to find clues about the culprit.

Following traces of the culprit, the elves soon found the demon that was responsible for the destruction of the nearby village.

It's a twenty meter long snake that's close to a meter wide.

The moment the elves caught sight of that demon, they immediately panicked.

The magical forest somehow repelled dangerous magical beasts. So, the snake is the first massive creature the elves have met.

Coupled with some leftover trace of blood and torn flesh on its jaw, the giant snake became even more menacing for the elves.

Thankfully no elves acted in a panic. They discussed it for a moment and decided to test the snake's power.

A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.

Depending on the test, they'll kill the snake or just try to lead it into an empty place without any villages.

One of the Level 1 elves went forward and activated his blessed power.

He summoned a ball of flame that shot toward the snake at high speed.

The ball of flame touched the back of the snake's head and exploded.

Due to the distance, the explosion caused the snake's head to get knocked down slightly, but it failed to injure the snake at all.

The remaining flames caused some plants to catch fires. But before it could spread, several elven blessed activated their ability and created a ball of water to put off the fire.

While the elves are busy extinguishing the flame, the snake has turned its head toward the elves.

After glaring at them for a few seconds, the snake suddenly coiled itself.

When everyone prepared to launch another barrage of attacks upon seeing the snake's defensive stance, it suddenly launched itself toward the elf who had shot the fireball.

The speed of its movement is incredibly fast, unfitting with its massive body.

This caused the male elf to get caught off guard and failed to react in time to evade the attack.

Thankfully, another Level 1 blessed elf activated her ability and created several earth pillars in succession.

The earth pillar didn't stop the snake. But it's enough to make the snake miss its landing points and crash a few meters away from the male elf.

Every elf immediately retreated far away from the snake's landing points while launching their blessed ability.

Except for the ice element blessed that prepared to create shields to block the snakes, and the water element blessed that's busy extinguishing the fires caused by the aftermath. Every elves separated themselves into groups and activated their ability to bombard that snake.

After being hit by several fireballs that were strengthened by winds, smashed several times by rocks, and electrocuted by lightning. Even the snake became dizzy and quickly coiled itself to defend itself.

With its hardened scale, the snake defended itself from the elf's bombardments. It only moved once the elves became exhausted and their bombardment slowed down.

After several minutes of bombardment, many parts of the snake's scale have peeled showing its pink flesh and blood.

While in pain, the snake launched itself once more toward a tired elf.

This time, the elf failed to respond in time and only successfully erected a thin wall made of ice.

The snake easily broke through the ice wall and bit the elf's body.

Hearing their comrade's scream, the elf standing nearby immediately paled and activated his ability in panic.

But the ability of Level 0 blessed can only slightly deepen the injury of the snake.

Redirecting its anger toward a new target, the snake bit down hard at the elves while ignoring his scream.

That's when the Level 1 fire element elf who stood behind the snake tried to launch a sneak attack.

Watching flames gather on the hand of that elf, the snake moved its tail like a whip and smashed it toward the elf.

Although that attack directly caused its injuries to worsen. The tail swipe successfully hit the male elf and caused half of his body to explode into red mists.

Watching three of their comrades die in an instant, the elves became panicked and disorganized.

Watching the panicked elves, the third Level 1 blessed among them commanded, "Summon water on its head and try to envelop its head with it!"

The water element blessed who still had some energy followed the command and shot several water balls on its head.

When the water balls enveloped the snake's head, the third Level 1 blessed activated her ability, "Freeze!"

The ball of water froze while enveloping the snake's head.

When the snake felt its head frozen, it took an extreme approach and smashed its head to the ground to shatter the ice.

But just when it could take a breath after shattering the ice, another ball of water shot toward it before instantly freezing.

The snake continued to smash its head while the elves kept on freezing it.

Watching the snake's frantic movement, the Level 1 ice blessed shouted, "What're you waiting for? Use your power and attack its injuries!"

The already exhausted elves pushed themselves to activate their power.

Meanwhile, the snake finally went berserk after having its head frozen for a long time.

Without shattering the ice that froze its head, the snake suddenly lunged toward a group with two water blessed and two other Level 0 elves.

Being caught by surprise, the snake easily killed them before launching toward another group and killing three other elves.

The elves only responded when the snake prepared to lunge toward another group.

The Level 1 earth element blessed quickly created several earth walls to block the snake.

Although it smashes through the walls, it's still enough to slow it down.

Even though it is stopped in time, crashing with the walls allows the snake to crack the ice, freezing its head.

The ice element elf watched it and wanted to continue fighting. But when she saw that most of the water element blessed had died and the team's low morale, she commanded the team to retreat.

"Let's lead it away from other villages. Then, we'll retreat!" After she shouted that command, the elf with ice power immediately shot a freezing power that froze part of the snake's head and angered it.

Seeing the ice element blessed has captured the snake's attention, the other elves helped to delay the snake's movement and allowed the ice element blessed to lead the snake toward a direction without any village.

They lead it long for an hour before suddenly dispersing while hiding their track.

This made the snake who had lost its target to continue slither forward, away from any elven village.

The elven group soon regathered and everyone looked around in sadness.

From the twenty one elves, only nine remained. Among them, two elves are in grave injuries and are currently being healed by two Level 0 healers.

***

Inside the Divine Space, Cedric is messaging his temple.

The snake that elves target is only at Mid Level 1. Meanwhile, the elven hunting team is composed of three Lower Level 1 and eighteen Upper to Peak Level 0 blessed.

Even so, they still failed to kill the snake in a gang fight.

That snake might indeed be a bit ridiculous in size. But that's all it has.

Except for the massive size and stronger physical strength, that snake doesn't have magical means like spewing water or even poison.

"Maybe I shouldn't have brought the demons to forcefully increase the elf's level." Cedric sighed while watching the elven corpse lying around.

He gently shook his head, "Never mind. If I didn't increase their level with demons, the elves might not be powerful enough to protect themselves against humans in time."

Regarding the contact between the three intelligent races of his world, Cedric has decided to only delay until his world reaches Level 3 at the latest.

Once his world upgraded from Level 2 to Level 3, he should've gained another chance to directly intervene.

If nothing changed, Cedric planned to open several passages through the mountain range and allow limited contact between the races.

Actually, if the humans somehow came into contact with the elves or dwarves before his world reached Level 3, he planned to let nature run its course.

Of course, there is an exception.

If it's Lacius who comes into contact with the other race, he'll stop him from doing audacious things to the elves and dwarves.

God knows what kind of messy thing he'll do upon seeing the elf and dwarf that can live for four times and twice as long as humans respectively.

Cedric continued to watch the events happening in the world for a few more months while occasionally studying other things.

While watching the world, Cedric mainly focused on the things happening in the elven territory.

It's not like he prefers to watch a race full of beautiful people than a race full of bearded shorties.

Well, actually that's kinda true.

But the main reason he focused on the elves is because the situation in the dwarf's territory has kinda stabilized.

After they knew about the giant ants, the dwarves started deploying their army that's usually used to kill magical beasts.

The situation immediately turned intense with many deaths from the dwarf's side. But thanks to their almost fanatical focus on advancing their cannon-making technology, the dwarves soon started fighting back.

These last few months, the dwarves have already started crafting canons en masse and used them to fight back against the giant ants.

Initially, the dwarven cannon's firepower was too strong and often caused the tunnel to collapse and even injured the dwarves. This problem took the dwarves mere days to solve as they simply lowered the firepower.

Then, they met another problem. The cannons can't be used deep in the mines due to the burdensome process of moving the cannon parts.

But this problem didn't make the dwarves give up as they continued upgrading their cannons until under a stroke of genius, they decided to add thick wheels to grant the cannon the ability to move between places.

The dwarves also created the prototype of railroad tracks to easily move cannons within areas they had controlled. This made it so the dwarves could easily move cannons toward any place under attack from the ants.

Finally, under the continued battle with the ants, they have created portable cannons that can be equipped by dwarves.

Although the power of a portable cannon that can be equipped by a normal dwarf is quite weak. But those dwarves blessed with Divine Strength can easily equip a small cannon on their person. That small cannon doesn't lose much against the cannon that dwarves usually use in their fight.

Although the portable cannon hasn't reached the level of a gun in terms of convenience and power. But with their sheer numbers, the contribution of that cannon to the dwarf's battle is incredibly high.

Even so, some dwarf teams still fall from ant attacks and allow the ants to capture them and turn them into NE.

With continued killing from both sides, the situation between the dwarf and the giant ants became more intense each day while maintaining some unseen balance.

Shaking his head to stop himself from reminiscing about the dwarves, Cedric focused back on the elves.

Although most of the elves are pretty disappointing. There are still some elves who show incredible abilities that make Cedric nod in approval.

Among them is the elf queen who has led several elves to kill two Level 1 demons, and the Level 1 ice element elf called Ildyna who has led the fight against that demon snake.

Although she failed to kill the snake during their first meet, Ildyna didn't give up and gathered another stronger team.

With the help of her teammates, she successfully killed the snake and even another Level 1 demon two months later.

Not only those two Level 1 demons. Ildyna has also often gone solo to kill some Level 0 demons that attack an elven village.

All those achievements allowed her to reach Mid Level 1 and became the fourth one to reach that level after the elf queen and two elderly elves with Peak Level 1 potential who achieved that level naturally.

Cedric has seen their potential level and found that the elf queen has Peak Level 1 potential, and it's within his expectation that she'll reach Mid Level 1 after killing some demons. Especially considering she is already close to advancing from Lower Level 1 even before his world reached Level 2.

But Ildyna only has Upper Level 1 potential.

Although Upper Level 1 is indeed pretty high, there are still other elves with even higher potential than her.

For her to be the second one to reach Mid Level 1, it must be attributed to her sheer will to annihilate every demon in sight.

The author's content has been appropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.

Except for the elves who finally started to fight back, the dragons also occasionally helped.

Every time they pass through any elven village in danger, they'll help to repel or kill the invading demons.

The elves also come to know about the existence of dragons who have helped them repel some demons and every elves started sharing food with every dragon they meet.

Amidst the fight against the demons, the dragon king has reached Lower Level 2 after killing three Level 1 demons and several Level 0 demons.

Even though everyone in the elven territory is busy killing the demons. But the occasional demon attack that succeeded has caused the number of demons to keep increasing.

During these months, three small villages and one big village have been annihilated by demons.

It caused the amount of Level 0 demons to increase after several animals and plants got infected by the NE generated upon the death of many elves.

Two Level 0 demons have even advanced from Level 0 to Level 1, two other demons have advanced to Mid Level 1, and one demon has advanced to Upper Level 1.

In total, the initial ten Lower Level 1 demons that Cedric sent have decreased to 7. But, the combat power of surviving demons hasn't been affected much considering there's now an Upper Level 1 demon and many demons on the verge of advancing to Level 1.

At least, the elf's combat power has increased thanks to the elf queen and Ildyna's effort.

When everyone thought the good situation would continue, the dragons suddenly left.

Eleven months after the dragon king had been affected by Cedric's Divine Intervention: Urge, the dragon king suddenly led the other dragons to leave the elven territory and return to the mountain range.

In the Divine Space, Cedric muttered, "Finally the last command took effect and the dragon king led its subordinates to return once it lost the urge to protect the elves. For it to last for eleven whole months is actually extremely surprising."

"I actually wanted the dragon to continue protecting the elves. But I'd rather have them leave than have them go berserk in the elf's territory and worsen the situation."

Cedric saw the elves can still defend themselves from the demon's attack and finally came to a decision.

"Compared to the dwarves, the elf's situation is kinda disappointing. So, let's summon another hero. This time for the elves."

Summoning another hero isn't something Cedric decided on the spur of the moment. But, it's something he has thought of deeply.

After his world has advanced to Level 2, there is a notification telling him the creature in his world can now reach Level 4. But, there is still no training method nor any creatures that have the potential to reach Level 4.

So, Cedric felt this was the right time to summon a hero with at least Level 4 potential and let them level up so he could study them and create a training method for the other races.

This is basically killing two birds with one stone. He can get a Level 4 hero with some time, and the elves will be strengthened quickly.

Cedric immediately opened the System and checked the [Visa] area.

"Hey, recommend me several places to summon my new hero. You should've heard my thoughts, so you should be able to know what kind of world is suitable for me."

[You darned lazy ass.]

"Wha? Why did you suddenly curse at me?"

[Sorry, that's a bug. Anyway, here is the place the System recommended according to your requirements:

Random Earth Number 5.001-9.999 (7 Days): 1.000 GP

Mortal Realm (7 Days): 10.000 GP

Pseudo Interstellar Level Scientific Planet (7 Days): 10.000 GP

Perfect Demi Plane (7 Days): 12.000 GP

Outer Tower (7 Days): 12.000 GP

Potion Planet (7 Days): 12.500 GP

Moonlight Forest Plane (7 Days): 20.000 GP

…]

Cedric ignored the System's lazy attempt at brushing away his inquiry and checked the lists.

Once he saw the price, Cedric immediately complained, "I know the price is going to rise compared to the previous visa I bought. After all, I need to visit a world where people with at least Level 4 potential reside. But, don't you think the price increase is too much?!"

Cedric recalls that when he looked for a visa before summoning Yuma and his bunch. Except for Earth which cost him 100 GP, other visas are mostly within the range of 1.000-2.000 GP.

But right now, the cost has increased by 10 times!

Cedric opened his screen and checked his current status.

[Name: Cedric Hills

Level: Pseudo Lesser Divinity (Actual level: Peak Level 3)

Law: None.

World: Crystal Cube World

World Level: 2

World's Average Potential: Lower Level 0

GP: 9.694

Annual GP income: 7]

Cedric found his annual GP actually rose by 1. Perhaps from all the killing happening in the world right now.

Anyways, that's unimportant.

The main reason he opened his status panel is to check his remaining GP.

After creating dragons, increasing the world's mana density, expanding his world, and other expenses. He has less than 10.000 GP left!

That means, except for the visa to Earth, he doesn't have enough GP for other visas!

[So, which visa will you buy?]

Cedric rolled his eyes, "Do you still need to ask?"

He pretty much already decided to purchase a visa to Earth. So, Cedric clicked the button and checked its description.

[Do you wish to spend 1.000 GP to purchase a 7-day visa for Random Earth No 5.001-9.999?

By purchasing this visa, you have agreed to the following terms:

1.) Transferring a person from Earth to your world will require an extra 1.000 GP per person taken from Earth.

2.) Transportation means for summoned Earthling not included. Please purchase a suitable transportation method in the shop.

3.) You will land in a relatively safe area. Some money and identity cards are included. You'll gain money used by the country you landed in. For further detail, please purchase 'Earth travel guide for first timers'.

4.) Before arriving on Earth, your power will be sealed to the utmost to decrease the impact you have on the world. Please purchase Divine Items to safeguard your life, as only Divine Items won't be sealed. Any death because of negligence is outside of our responsibility. Any attempt to forcefully break the seal will result in a fine.

5.) You will be charged with extra GP when leaving traces of supernatural power on Earth. So, please hide your power as much as possible. After you leave, any trace of supernatural power will be cleansed from Earthling's memory. The cost of memory alteration will be your responsibility.

6.) It is forbidden to suddenly take someone of importance that will greatly affect the world (Example: president, prime ministers, ministers, kings/queens, etc.). When breached, depending on the person's importance, an extra GP penalty will be charged.

7.) There is a 3652,5 : 1 time dilation effect on Earth Number 5.001-9.999. One day on Earth Number 5.001-9.999 is equal to ten universal years.

…]

Cedric read through the familiar terms and nodded.

Except for the cost that has risen from 100 GP to 1.000 GP. The only main difference in the terms is about the time dilation that has risen to 1 day : 10 years, and the fact that there's a rare chance to find someone with Level 5 potential.

After checking the elf and the dwarf's territory, Cedric checked the situation there and made sure they could last for at least a few years.

Once he was certain there was no problem, Cedric gritted his teeth and purchased the visa to Earth.

Feeling a literal pain after watching 1.000 GP disappear from his screen, Cedric paused while staring at the notification in front of him.

[You've bought a 7-day visa to Earth number 5.002 for 1.000 GP. You may tear the paper to begin the sealing and teleportation procedure.]

After reading the familiar yet unfamiliar notification, Cedric found the System had sent him another message.

[Whoa, you're pretty lucky.]

"Huh? Why?"

[Because the smaller the number, the more people with high-level potential]

Cedric slightly smiled, "Well, it's good that I finally had some luck after so long."

Just before he wanted to tear the visa ticket, Cedric suddenly paused, "I just thought of something now."

"Earth only has humans, right? Won't it be problematic for a human hero to help the elves?"

[No worries there are means to change a target's race. Do you wish to check it now?]

"Hmm, there's nothing wrong with checking and preparing my budget." Cedric nodded and saw the System send another screen.

[Level 4 Consumable Divine Item, Skin & Flesh Transformation.

Cost: 10 GP

Details: Alter a target's skin and flesh. The extent of transformation is limited. It will only affect the outer appearance of the target and won't change the target's race.]

Limited to reincarnating from creatures that start at a Level equal to the user's current level.]

[Level 7 Consumable Divine Item, Portable Possession Magic Array.

Cost: 100 GP

Limited to possessing creatures that are three levels lower than the item. Depending on the target's resistance, there will be a chance of failure. The stronger the target compared to the user, the higher the resistance. Upon winning the possession battle, the losing soul will be expelled from the body.

PS: In case of possessing a dead body, don't forget to purchase a healing item to heal the targeted corpse at least physically.]

Cedric read the three items that the System recommended while feeling kinda freaked out.

No matter how he sees it, all three items sound evil.

There's also another problem that he found while reading the details for Reincarnation and Possession Magic Array.

He asked his doubt to the System, "Won't reincarnating or possessing other bodies change or damage the hero's potential?"

[No. Potential lies in the soul and not the body.]

After. some contemplation, Cedric finally decided, "I'll look at the target first and decide later. I can still buy things from the shop while on Earth right?"

[Indeed.]

"Then, let's start!" Cedric tore the visa ticket and felt his body being suppressed and other weird feelings.

When he regained his senses, Cedric found himself inside an alleyway.

In front of him, there's a road, while behind him there is a dead end. On his left and right side, there are four-storied buildings that have windows facing the alley.

Before walking on the only open path, Cedric checked the things that suddenly appeared in his hand when he arrived here.

A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

Looking at his clenched hand, Cedric saw a stack of bills, a phone complete with a charger, and several documents like ID card and passports.

He first checked the money and found it mainly consisted of 200 euros with some 500 euro notes.

After pocketing the money in his pants, Cedric checked his ID card and found he had arrived in Spain.

Finally, he opened his phone and wanted to check the map. But his eyes accidentally glanced at the date.

"Year 2018?"

He recalled that the last time he purchased a visa to Earth and visited Japan, the year was 2022.

"So, different Earths have different timelines?"

Cedric felt that's also kinda logical. Especially since different Earths have different time dilations.

'Let's visit a place with a lot of people and start searching for a suitable hero to promote the elf's growth.' Cedric thought as he exited the alley.

After two turns, Cedric found himself facing a road with occasional cars passing by. There are also a considerable amount of pedestrians passing by.

Checking the map on his phone, Cedric found several spots where people gather.

The nearest to his location is a high school, a middle school, a hospital, a shopping center, and a hotel between the hospital and the shopping center.

The high school and middle school is located around one kilometer from his location. While the shopping center, hospital, and hotel are approximately three to five kilometers away.

A bit further from the hospital, there are also several other schools and a university.

Cedric checked the time on his phone and found it was only 9 am.

After some thought, he decided to visit the high school and middle school first.

As the distance isn't too far, Cedric chooses to walk to his destination.

When he was close to the middle school, Cedric saw the school's closed gate and frowned, 'Is there a way for me to enter the school secretly?'

[The System recommended you to check the Level 1 Consumable Divine Itm, Invisible Spray.]

Cedric saw the System's answer and checked the item it mentioned.

[Level 1 Consumable Divine Item, Invisible Spray.

Cost: 2 GP

Details: Allow the user to turn invisible for an hour, and can be deactivated at will. Can't be detected by method below Level 1. Allow the user to hide from sight, heat detection, etc. But will be detected by sonar, hearing, touch, etc.

PS: It won't stain your clothes, so there's no need to unclothe yourself before spraying.]

Cedric nodded and indeed felt the item was extremely suitable for his goal.

He entered a deserted alley near the school and bought the Invisible Spray.

Looking at the blue-colored can with the word 'invisible spray' casually written on it, Cedric sprayed it all around his body.

Soon, his body and clothes become invisible.

Even things that are not invisible will also turn invisible whenever he places them inside his pocket.

After pulling his phone that hasn't been stained with the invisible spray, Cedric checks the time and immediately gets into action.

He walked to the school fence and casually jumped through the fence to enter the school grounds while in his invisible state.

At ten am, the school corridors are pretty empty while the sound of teaching can be heard from all classrooms.

'Let's start working.' Cedric looked at the classroom doors while being thankful that part of the door was made of glass. The glass will allow him to peek inside the classroom without opening the door and alarming the people inside.

Activating his Divine Sight, Cedric observed every student and teacher inside the classrooms.

Because he only needs to take a glance inside the classroom, and there aren't that many classrooms inside the school. Cedric finished checking every classroom even before the one-hour time limit of the invisible spray ran out.

What a pity, he failed to find anyone with potential above Level 4.

Among the people inside the school, the one with the highest potential that Cedric has seen is only at Mid Level 3.

It's pretty high, but it's still insufficient for his goal.

Exiting the middle school, he deactivated the invisible spray and jogged for a few minutes toward the location of the high school.

While jogging, he recalled something and opened his phone to book a room at the hotel between the hospital and the shopping center.

By the time he has arrived at the high school, Cedric has already finished booking his hotel.

The first thought that came to Cedric's mind when he saw the school was that it was extremely huge.

Compared to the middle school he has just visited, the high school is approximately double in size.

Similar to the middle school, the school's gate is closed, so Cedric looks at the time and purchases a can of invisible spray.

After thoroughly turning himself invisible, Cedric jumped through the school fence and entered inside.

Repeating what he has done at the middle school, Cedric observes every person with Divine Sight before leaving once he has checked everyone's potential.

He also moved faster so he won't need to purchase another Invisible Spray and waste two GP. For the current him, 2 GP ain't all that expensive, but it's better to save whenever he can.

When his invisible spray almost ran out of time, Cedric finished checking every classroom and exited the building on time.

Just less than a minute since he exited the building, his Invisible Spray finally ran out of time.

Seeing he can now see his body, Cedric sighed.

The result of this search is quite disappointing. He has found two people with Level 3 potential, but they're still not enough for his plan.

After failing to find any suitable person, Cedric opened his phone and saw it was now close to 11 am.

"Well, let's continue to search at the shopping center." Cedric stopped a taxi to arrive at the shopping center faster.

When he arrived, Cedric looked at the four-storied shopping center in front of him and walked in.

"It's almost time for lunch."

He traveled around the shopping center while constantly activating his Divine Sight to observe the surroundings.

After walking for half an hour, there were several small bags filled with snacks in his hand.

Thanks to his observation, Cedric has concluded that the shopping center's atrium, which is located near the main entrance, is the best place to observe the most people.

While sitting in a chair in the atrium, he'll be able to see people walking around every floor at once.

Placing the snacks he bought on a seat next to him, Cedric started casually eating while looking for a suitable target.

Soon, an hour has passed by, and Cedric has already finished eating his snacks and is currently drinking some shaved ice with fruit thingy.

While he sleepily observed the people that passed by, a man passing by on the fourth floor caught his attention.

[Life Level: Lower Level 0.

Potential: Upper Level 4.]

Seeing a suitable target immediately sweeps away all of Cedric's sleepiness.

When he saw the target with Upper Level 4 potential, Cedric stood up and went to the shopping center's escalator.

But as it's currently afternoon, there are a considerable amount of visitors on the escalator. This made Cedric need to wait in line and slowed him down considerably.

When he arrived at the fourth floor, the man was nowhere to be seen.

Cedric immediately checked the surrounding area but still failed to find a trace of the man.

After checking the fourth floor and the third floor once, Cedric finally gave up and returned to the atrium.

He decided to wait and bet that the man would exit using the main entrance.

The shopping center has a main entrance, two side entrances, several emergency exits, and an exit from the underground parking lot.

Cedric is basically betting that the man didn't bring a car to the shopping center, nor will he exit through the side entrance.

While waiting, Cedric isn't idle as he constantly observes the surrounding people with his Divine Sight.

A few minutes after he sat in the atrium, Cedric's mind finally calmed down, and he recalled something.

While spending several hundred years in the Divine Space. Except for observing the world and studying things, Cedric has also occasionally checked the System store.

Of course due to the massive amount of items in it, even after reading for a long time, Cedric felt he was still far from checking every item sold in the System's store.

But he is sure he has seen an item that should've been useful for the previous case.

After trying hard to recall the item, Cedric finallly found it in the System store.

[Level 1 Consumable Divine Item, Hunting Mark

Cost: 2 GP

Details: Place a hunting mark on a target and allow the user to constantly sense the target's location. The distance is limited to a 1-kilometer radius from the user. Can't be used on targets above Level 1.]

Now that he has calmed down, Cedric kinda regretted it. He should've bought this item to locate the person with Level 4 potential.

He continued to wait for three hours without finding the man with Level 4 potential or any people with potential above Level 4.

"Sigh, perhaps it's fate," Cedric muttered.

He recalled the time he visited Japan, he also initially planned to summon a high school boy. But, several accidents happened and finally, he got the trio that has greatly contributed to the advancement of human civilization in the Crystal Cube World.

'I just hope I'll be as lucky as before and quickly find a suitable person.' Cedric prepared to leave the shopping mall and checked into the hotel he had booked.

While constantly activating Divine Sight, Cedric exited the shopping center and called a taxi to take him to the hotel.

It didn't take long for him to arrive at the hotel and check into his room.

After checking in, Cedric rested for a moment before he left the hotel to visit the hospital.

'This will be the last place I visit today. If I don't find a suitable person, I'll visit the nearby university tomorrow.' Cedric thought while calling a taxi.

When he arrived, Cedric looked around the place that actually wasn't as bustling as he thought.

After walking around to check the hospital's interior while constantly activating Divine Sight, Cedric thought of something and left.

Initially, he only planned to choose his heroes among the visitors. But recalling the Reincarnation and Possession Magic Array, Cedric added the hospital's patient to his observation lists.

After all, with the help of the Reincarnation and Possession Magic Array. Even an old folk or a patient in a coma can simply possess a new healthy body.

Cedric paused and asked, 'Hey System. I forgot to ask, but using Possession Magic Aray or Reincarnation Magic Array won't affect the summoned hero's potential right?'

[Don't worry, potential lies in the soul. As long as you used certified Divine Items or something of an equivalent level to do a complete soul possession or reincarnation, you don't need to fear damaging a soul's potential.]

[Of course, there are also imperfect ways to possess a body. For example, a weak ghost occupying a human's body, a nascent soul cultivator possessing others with their nascent soul, some trashy resurrection rituals, and many other means. If you use this kind of method, a soul's potential level will likely be damaged.]

To be honest, Cedric is kinda interested in the second thing that the System mentioned. But since he has a limited stay on earth, he decides to ask for it later.

With a guarantee from the System, Cedric got ready for his hunt in this hospital.

This narrative has been purloined without the author's approval. Report any appearances on Amazon.

Now in an invisible state, Cedric first checked the intensive care unit.

After slowly opening the door, he saw several busy nurses and doctors inside the unit. Around the room, there are people lying on the hospital beds.

Cedric swiftly checked every bed and left when found there was no one with high potential in the ICU.

Once he's done, Cedric opens the door to every ward has seen.

He merely spent a few seconds peek inside the door to observe every person inside with his Divine Sight.

After continuously opening and closing around thirty ward doors, Cedric suddenly heard the sound of heavy breathing from a few meters away behind him.

Turning his head, Cedric found it was actually just a nurse holding a tray full of food in her hand.

For some reason, the nurse is breathing heavily while constantly trembling and sweating. Nevertheless, her eyes are glued to the door that Cedric has just opened.

'Did this nurse have a heart attack or something? Cedric checked inside the door and observed the people inside with his Divine Sight before closing it.

When he saw the nurse trembling at an even faster frequency, Cedric asked, "What's going on? Do you need my help?"

When that nurse heard his voice, she seemed to snap back to reality.

"Ahhhh! Ahh! Ghost! Ghost!!!!" The slightly plump nurse dropped the tray of food and ran away while screaming.

'Oh, I forgot I am still invisible. No wonder the nurse didn't stop me from checking the ward's doors.' Cedric thought while hoping the nurse wouldn't get sick from the shock.

Cedric shook his head and continued to open the door to the next wards.

This continued for close to two hours.

During these two hours, except for bumping into a doctor and caused said doctor to faint after he apologized while still invisible. There's nothing of note happening.

Although he has found six people at Level Three. Cedric still hasn't found anyone at Level 4.

After checking the current time, Cedric paused on his track.

Right now, he has checked close to 80 percent of the wards and wants to quit and stop wasting GP to purchase invisible spray.

But considering that he's close to checking 100 percent of the hotel, Cedric finally chooses to buy another invisible spray.

He first went to a deserted restroom before his second can of invisible spray ran out.

Purchasing his third invisible spray during his hospital visit, Cedric sprayed himself with the item before continuing his journey.

That's when the miracle happened.

While he opened a ward's door and observed the patient using his Divine Sight. Cedric saw an incredible screen.

[Life Level: Lower Level 0

Potential: Upper Level 5

Talent: Lesser Nature Affinity.]

But his body which has started to move mechanically due to countless repetitions accidentally closed the door and walked away to the next ward.

That's when he heard the System started spamming its screen in front of him.

[Wait! Wait! Turn back!]

[Quickly turn back and kinda- take that person to your world!]

[What utterly bullshit luck! Quickly turn back!]

[You don't know just what kind of incredible creature you've just seen!]

Due to the System's spam, Cedric paused his step and quickly entered the room he had just closed.

When he entered, Cedric saw it was a private ward with only a single hospital bed. Inside, there is a young girl and a middle-aged woman.

The girl lay in the hospital bed while playing with her phone. On the desk next to her, there is a middle-aged woman sleeping while looking haggard with a glass of alcoholic drink placed at the desk in front of her.

Cedric once again opened his Divine Sight and observed both women.

The girl's stats are exactly like what he has seen before.

[Life Level: Lower Level 0

Potential: Upper Level 5

Talent: Lesser Nature Affinity.]

She is like an SSR-grade gacha that finally appears after consecutive trash pulls.

As for middle-aged women. Her stat isn't all that good.

[Life Level: Lower Level 0

Potential Level: Mid Level 2.]

It's not bad, but it isn't all that good either.

After gently shaking his head while slowly walking closer in his invisible state. Cedric asked the System about something he has been curious about. 'What is this talent in the Divine Sight result?'

He already knew about Life Level and Potential Level. But it's the first time he saw a Talent.

[Do you wish to accept a free explanation, or are you going to spend an extra 30 GP for an advanced explanation?]

Cedric held the urge to curse and asked, 'Is the advanced explanation important?'

[Kinda. It'll explain some benefits that you'll get from sending that girl to your world.]

'Then, I'll purchase it.'

[Answering your question, Lesser Nature Affinity means her affinity to the law of nature is only slightly below the average Level 16 Lesser Divinity.]

[Sending her to your world will strengthen the law of nature and contribute to the advancement of your world.]

'From the sound of it, it seems to be an amazing thing. But can you tell me more specifically what kind of extra benefit someone with talent can bring me? Also, i recall the elves already have a nature affinity in their description when i bought them. What's the difference between her nature affinity talent and the elf's nature affinity?'

[The elf's affinity to nature only made them good at growing plants at most. Those affinity can't even be counted as something at Mid Level 0. But a lesser nature affinity talent is a different thing altogether as it can affect your world and strengthen the law. Once the law of nature has strengthened to a certain degree, some creature in your world will be able to become a nature element blessed, especially the elves that already have some affinity to nature. Furthermore, this girl will be an extremely talented nature element blessed. With some time, she will be able to create a suitable training method for herself through sheer instinct.]

'Darn, it's that amazing?' Cedric might be a noob, but he has also managed a world for hundreds of years.

During these hundreds of years, no blessed has ever awakened new elements.

Furthermore, the guarantee to create her own training method from instinct is quite amazing.

It's necessary to know that there are close to no blessed capable of creating training methods from zero.

Almost all of them used Alan's wind element training method or other element's training method as a groundwork.

Thinking back about Alan made Cedric feel a bit pained and regretful. Especially since he kinda contributed to Alan's death.

Shaking his head, Cedric tried to focus himself on the present.

He looked at the girl and saw she was still busy watching her phone.

Without removing his invisibility, Cedric greeted the girl, "Hello there."

"Mmhm." The girl replied and raised her head to look around.

When she saw there was only the middle-aged woman next to her, she scratched her ear and muttered, "Did I hallucinate?"

"No, you don't," Cedric replied.

The girl stared around the room before checking her phone's volume. When she saw the volume was quite low, she panicked and shook the middle-aged woman next to her. "Mom! There's a ghost!"

Cedric grinned, 'Damn, playing as a ghost is actually quite fun.'

But he quickly stopped since the girl was sick with an unknown illness.

What if she actually has a heart disease and suddenly dies from a heart attack because he scares her too much.

'That'll be such a bloody loss.' Cedric thought as he introduced himself and immediately got to the important point.

"I apologize for the shock. I am the creator god of another world, and I invite you to reincarnate into my world."

Inside the hospital, Elisa still felt a bit scared by the door that suddenly opened and closed on its own. The sound that came out of nowhere definitely didn't help her to calm down.

After she heard the sound introduced himself as something ridiculous like the god of another world. Elisa looked around the room before focusing on the space next to her hospital bed.

Although she wasn't sure, she guessed the sound she heard came from that location.

While staring in that direction, Elisa tried to calm down, "Is this some sort of prank? Is there some kind of recording or hidden speaker there?"

She moved from her bed and searched that area, but failed to find anything.

When she moved to the bed to sit, the voice appeared once more from a different space, "What are you looking for?"

Elisa turned her head and searched in the direction she heard the sound from but still found nothing.

She suddenly heard a faint chuckle and turned her head. But when she saw nothing, Elisa started to shake her mother who had gotten drunk. "Mom, there's a ghost in the hospital!"

Her mom woke up from all that shaking and asked while rubbing her eyes, "What's wrong?"

"There's a ghost!!!" Elisa half screamed as she trembled.

After Elisa's mother calmed her down, Cedric finally removed his invisibility right in front of both of them. "Hello there, I apologize for scaring you."

"Ahhhh!!!" Seeing a man suddenly appear in front of them, the mother-daughter pair looked at Cedric in shock and screamed.

"Who are you? When did you enter?!"

"Let me reintroduce myself. I am the creator of another world and wished to send that girl over there to reincarnate in my world." After Cedric introduced himself, the room fell into silence.

To stop the awkward feeling, Cedric lightly coughed, "Ahem, may I ask your name and what kind of disease you have?"

"You can call me Elisa." Although she felt suspicious. Elisa wasn't sure why, but she still replied to the unknown man in front of him. "I have lung cancer. The extremely serious kind that needs me to stay in the hospital most of the time."

Then she asked, "You have said you wanted to send me to reincarnate into your world. Let's just assume you are really a god and I choose to accept your offer. Can you explain more about this reincarnation business?"

Cedric smiled, "I will make you reincarnate as elves with at least two hundred years lifespan. Furthermore, I'll guarantee that the body you reincarnated into will be healthy!"

"Why do you need me to reincarnate into your world?" Elisa asked another crucial question she thought of. To be honest she kinda half believed the guy in front of her. Especially since he has the ability to turn invisible.

"I need you to support the elven race in my world as they have met with difficulties," Cedric answered while hiding some truth like how the difficulty is something he caused himself.

"Why can't you do it yourself? You said you're a god!" Elisa asked in suspicion.

"Well, being a god actually made me unable to be of much help because I am too strong and any move might destroy the world." Cedric shrugged.

While Elisa and Cedric conversed. On the side, Elisa's mother rubbed her temple, "Maybe I should stop drinking alcohol. I think I am still drunk right now."

Ignoring her mother who was busy rubbing her temple while drinking some water, Elisa asked Cedric another question, "What kind of world is the place you plan to reincarnate me into?"

"It's a world of magic where several races exist. In terms of civilization, it should be equal to the middle Bronze Age." Cedric added, "Furthermore, if you accept my deal, I'll grant you one cheat. You can ask for any power that's within my capability."

Cedric added the extra cheat as a temptation to make the girl go into his world. After all, having a willing hero is much better than an unwilling one.

At this time, Elisa's mother finally came to her senses and joined the conversation, "I am not sure what's going on, but I got the gist of it."

"May I ask a question?"

Cedric nodded.

"You said you're a god. So, can't you please help her without sending her to another world?" Elisa's mother asked.

"No can do. On Earth, my power is greatly weakened." Cedric replied with a half-lie. After all, it's indeed true that his power has been sealed on earth. It's just he still has the power to save her through Divine Items.

Elisa and her mother looked at each other. "To be honest I am extremely tempted by the offer. But, may I know how you're going to send me to another world? Is it through magic? Can you show us the magic that'll make us believe you? Also, why me?"

Did you know this text is from a different site? Read the official version to support the creator.

Cedric smiled, "It must be you because you're the most talented humans I have seen. Once you enter my world where magic exists, your strength will advance at incredible speed."

"As for how I am going to send you there, I will use an item to pull your soul and send it to the elven body I've prepared in my world."

"What will happen to my body?" Elisa asked in concern.

Cedric recalled the details about the Portable Reincarnation Magic Array and Portable Possession Magic Array before answering Elisa, "Your body will either die or enter a comatose state depending on your will."

Ellisa fell into thought after she heard it, "I agree. But, can I choose my cheat now?"

Cedric nodded, "Okay. You can tell me your wish. As long as it's within my capability, I'll grant you any power or item as your cheat."

"Then, I want my mom to join me and reincarnate as an elf!" Elisa said while pointing at her mother.

When Cedric saw it, he tried his best to stop his mouth from twitching.

His mind is cursing his attempt to show off by letting Elisa choose her cheat.

Initially, he only planned to spend 200 GP on an item that'll be Elisa's cheat. But, if he planned to send her mother, Cedric would need to spend at least 1.000 GP.

That doesn't include the cost of purchasing Divine Items!

When she didn't get any reply, Elisa looked at Cedric with suspicion, "What? Can't you do it? But you can send me to another world. There's no reason you can't send my mother too right?"

Cedric gritted his teeth and took a deep breath, 'Calm down, me. It's just 1.000 GP. I can gain it back after 200 years at most. Compared to 1.000 GP, gaining Elisa's trust and cooperation should've been worth more. Probably.'

With a smile, Cedric nodded, "Alright. But are you sure you want your mother as your cheat when you live in another world?"

"Yes!" Elisa nodded. "You said the world is equal to the middle Bronze Age. My mother is a professor of bioengineering at a nearby university. With her help, I believe it'll be easier for me to survive.

"What about your dad?" Cedric became a bit curious.

"He has died," Elisa answered casually.

"My condolences." He felt a bit awkward after asking that question. So, Cedric placed his attention on whether to purchase a Portable Possession Magic Array or a Portable Reincarnation Magic Array.

After contemplating the gain and loss, he finally decided to use Portable Possession Magic Array.

He fears that if he used the Portable Reincarnation Magic Array, the situation in the elf's territory might go out of control during the time it takes for Elisa to grow up.

If Elisa got killed at that time, he'd face a bloody loss. The kind that will make him cry himself to sleep every day for a whole year.

After Cedric purchased the Portable Possession Magic Array, the System suddenly said something.

[Before you activated the Portable Reincarnation Magic Array, the System wanted to remind you in case you misunderstood something.]

[Don't forget to purchase a Drawing Crayon For Interdimensional Travel, because you'll also need a method to send the soul to your world and that crayon is the cheapest means.]

"Huh?" Cedric paused and realized what the System meant. 'I need to make a teleportation array to send the soul to my world? I thought that function was included in the magic array!'

[You wish! Damn pauper.]

Cedric can only sigh and spent another 10 GP to purchase a Drawing Crayon For Interdimensional Travel.

With the crayon at hand, Cedric drew the teleportation magic circle while the mother daughter pair is watching him with interest.

Once Cedric finished drawing the teleportation circle, it shone before turning invisible.

"What the fuck?" Elisa's mother gasped while opening her eyes wide. "Am I still drunk?"

Cedric looked at Elisa's mother and said, "Stay where you're, and don't step into the magic circle. Otherwise, you'll be transported with your body and won't be reincarnated as an elf with a long lifespan."

With most of the preparation ready, Cedric asked the System, 'Hey, should I prepare a body for her first, or should I use the Portable Possession Magic Array first?'

[In your current situation, the System recommended you use the Portable Possession Magic Array on Elisa before looking for a suitable body for her to possess in the world. The Portable Possession Magic Array has a temporary soul storage function that can last for a whole month. So, you don't need to worry about her soul dissipating.]

[By the way, it also has something like a remote control function that will allow you to control the movement of Elisa's soul with your mental power.]

Before Cedric can ask how to do it, The System has already continued,

[You simply need to connect Elisa's soul with the octahedron-shaped Portable Possession Magic Array. Then, you'll be able to control her soul's movement with your mental power by using the octahedron crystal as a remote control.]

Cedric nodded and walked toward Elisa, "I'll start the procedure."

He used his mental power and activated the Portable Possession Magic Array in his hand.

After controlling the Portable Possession Magic Array to target Elisa. She closed her eyes as if losing consciousness.

While Elisa's mother is busy supporting her body, Cedric can feel her body slowly dying.

Meanwhile, Cedric felt a weird sensation and activated his Divine Sight.

The moment he activated it, Cedric could see what he assumed as Elisa's soul had entered the octahedron crystal that was previously the Portable Possession Magic Array.

She didn't stay inside the Portable Possession Magic Array for long. After three seconds, Elisa's soul left the crystal. But now there's an extra glowing light on it that's connected to the octahedron crystal.

With everything ready, Cedric closed his eyes and searched for a suitable body for Elisa to possess.

Thanks to the 1:3652.5 time dilation effect. One second on Earth is equal to more than one hour in the Crystal Cube world.

In twenty-seven minutes, Cedric has already found a suitable body for Elisa.

It's the body of a young recently dead female elf. She has been heavily injured while escaping from her village that's being attacked by demons. Although she has escaped far away, the injury made her lose her life before meeting other elves.

With a suitable target, Cedric immediately gets into work.

First, he purchased a healing item called Rebirth Pill.

[Level 1 Consumable Divine Item, Rebirth Pill

Cost: 10 GP

Details: Heal all physical injuries on Level 1 users or below. Slightly heals Level 2 users, and ineffective for users at Level 3 or above. Unable to heal damage from most Level 2 attacks and above.
