The silence between them wasn't empty anymore. Aria could still feel his words echoing inside her.
"You started this" because she did started that.
Heart racing far too fast for her to pretend this was nothing.
"You didn't like it," she whispered.
Rafael's eyes darkened slightly. "What?"
"The way I was with him."
"No," he said quietly.
That honesty hit harder this time.
Aria stepped closer again until there was barely any space left between them.
"And now?" she asked softly.
Rafael didn't answer not with words.His hand moved firm this time pulling her closer in a way that wasn't questioning anymore.
It was certain.
"Now," he said, his voice low, "you're still thinking about him."
Her breath caught.
"I'm not—"
He didn't let her finish and kissed her suddenly like it filled with something he had been holding back for too long because of his jealousy and possession. Something deeper that neither of them had named yet.
Aria froze for just a second...surprised.
