The air in Velmora didn't usually feel heavy. It bent to Rafael's control.
It moved when he allowed it to but not today.
The black cars lined the entrance like a quiet warning.Aria stood near the balcony, watching them arrive, something uneasy settling in her chest.
"They're here, My family"
Rafael's voice came from behind her calmly. She turned to look at him.
He looked the same as always composed, unreadable, in control.
But now she noticed the difference. She saw him in a tensed mood which he wanted to hide from everyone.
"They weren't supposed to stay long," he added, almost to himself. "Just dinner time… then they leave."
"Then why does it feel like more than that?" Aria asked quietly.Rafael didn't answer.
The doors opened and power walked in.
First, his father.A man who didn't need introduction.Authority followed him like shadow. Sharp eyes, calculated silence, every step measured like he owned every space he entered.
