Daniel's mansion- Early morning
Mommy and Daddy said we were going to Uncle Daniel's, so I was happy.
It had been a while since I met Jenny.
As I got out of the car, and walked inside, the atmosphere felt totally different.
Uncle Daniel, Aunt Isabella and Jenny were seated on the sofa.
Chatting as always,

Adrian was there as well.
And Jenny kept teasing him by calling him , brother.
Everyone seemed closer than they should have.
With Uncle Daniel and Adrian, it made sense.
After all, they are now father and son,
But the rest?
I am happy for them, but overnight you get to know your adopted father has a real son, or your fiancé has a biological son, shouldn't one feel a little distant?
Though they greeted me the same way as before,
Oddly enough, I felt strangely…distant.
For the first time since Dad told me Adrian would remain adopted by him,
I felt insecure and questioning myself…
Where do I belong with Adrian and Jenny now?
