I was reviewing a file when John and Vance came in carrying several files.
"It took me the whole night to track the payments the executive received for leaking the designs,"
"And, the money trail doesn't stop at one account,"
"It has branches spreading into several companies, all shell of course,"
"Looks like it's a bigger syndicate than expected," I said, worried.
"And the investigation has just begun," I sighed.
"This is a financial chart,"
John explained how each payment moved from one account to another shell company.
"To begin with,"
"All companies were shell companies,"
"Most were registered just a month back,"
"Each company's work was to handle the transfer before disappearing completely."
I reviewed each document carefully.
It was clear, whoever it was, created an entire network just to hide a payment trial,"
"And this wasn't any random accounting,"
"It was a professional concealment." John added.
