"State your wish," Shenron said, turning his gaze back to Master Roshi. His voice returned to its solemn tone.
"Do not ask questions that should not be asked."
"Yes, yes…" Roshi replied respectfully.
He cleared his throat, raised his head, and loudly declared the wish he had prepared:
"Shenron! Please revive everyone who was killed by Demon King Piccolo and his subordinates! Exclude the evil ones!"
"This wish… is simple."
Shenron's massive head nodded slightly.
A flash of lightning-like light passed through his red eyes.
An invisible and immense divine power spread outward from Shenron like ripples across water, quickly covering the entire Earth.
After a moment of silence, Shenron spoke again:
"Your wish has been granted. Farewell."
As soon as he finished speaking, Shenron's enormous green body began to fade.
His form gradually became transparent and then dissolved into countless golden particles that drifted into the night sky.
The Dragon Balls Scatter
"Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!"
The seven Dragon Balls on the ground suddenly lost their glow.
They turned dull gray like ordinary stones.
Then they shot into the sky like fireworks, flying in seven different directions across the world.
Within seconds, they vanished into the darkness.
The unnatural night covering the sky quickly faded.
The world returned to the soft colors of evening.
"Wonderful… wonderful!" Roshi said with relief.
"Now Goku and Krillin will definitely come back to life!"
He stared at the direction the Dragon Balls had flown for a long moment before finally relaxing.
For the first time since this whole disaster began, his shoulders loosened.
Time to Go Home
"Well," Broly said, rubbing his stomach with a grin.
"Everything's done now, right?"
"Can we go home?"
"I'm getting hungry again."
To Broly, saving the world was far less important than going home for dinner.
"Let's go!" Roshi laughed happily.
"I'll cook something delicious for everyone!"
But when Roshi looked at Broly again, a thoughtful glint appeared in his eyes.
He stroked his beard and said seriously:
"Broly… once we get back, you must start training with me."
"You can't keep living like before—just eating, sleeping, and doing nothing."
"With your incredible talent, I'm sure you could become a truly great martial artist under my guidance!"
Broly: "..."
The smile froze on Broly's face.
Then he shook his head violently.
"Old man, I'm already strong enough," Broly said lazily.
"Beating Demon King Piccolo wasn't even difficult."
"Training is exhausting."
"It's boring."
"Eating well, sleeping well, and doing whatever I want—that's real life."
Roshi blew his beard in frustration.
"You lazy brat…"
But eventually he sighed.
"Fine. Let's go home first."
He knew forcing Broly to train would take time.
Broly had just defeated Demon King Piccolo effortlessly.
His strength might already be beyond Roshi's understanding.
Roshi's Idea
Suddenly, Roshi stopped walking.
The movement nearly caused the unconscious Tien Shinhan he was carrying to slip off his shoulder.
"Right! How could I forget!"
A bold idea appeared in his mind.
What if Broly trained under the Guardian of Earth?
Perhaps he could first send Broly to Korin.
Through Korin, they could reach Kami.
But another thought followed.
Would Broly even qualify to meet Kami?
Would Kami accept someone this lazy?
Roshi glanced back at Broly, who was yawning and thinking about food.
He sighed again.
Still…
Broly had basically saved the entire world by himself.
That should be enough qualification.
Meanwhile… At Korin Land
Far away on another part of the continent lay Korin Land, a peaceful valley surrounded by mountains.
The air smelled fresh with grass and trees.
A strange hover car hummed softly as it drove into the quiet region.
The driver was the round-bodied samurai Yajirobe, his sword hanging at his waist.
In the passenger seat sat a severely injured Son Goku.
His breathing was weak, and his body was covered in wounds.
"Hey Goku, look!" Yajirobe said while steering.
"The sky was pitch black just a moment ago. Why did it suddenly become bright again?"
"The Dragon Ball signal… disappeared," Goku said weakly while looking at the Dragon Radar.
His brows tightened in confusion.
"That terrifying guy… did he already summon Shenron?"
"What kind of wish would someone like him make?"
"World domination?"
Thinking of Demon King Piccolo's possible wish made Goku feel uneasy.
"We're here," Yajirobe said as he parked the hover car on a patch of grass.
"Is that the place you meant?"
He pointed toward a towering red pillar stretching into the clouds.
Korin Tower.
The two stepped out of the car.
Goku nearly collapsed but caught himself on the vehicle.
Looking up at the tower, he smiled despite the pain.
"It reminds me of the old days…"
Just then—
"Big Brother Goku!"
A joyful voice shouted from a nearby round house.
A small boy ran out like the wind.
It was Upa.
He rushed toward Goku with excitement shining on his face.
"Hi, Upa," Goku said with a strained smile.
"You've grown so much. You're almost taller than me now."
He gently rubbed Upa's head with his uninjured hand.
