Son Goku gently nudged the shy little boy hiding behind his leg, who was only peeking out with half his head.
"Gohan, don't be afraid. These are all Daddy's friends. Say hello to everyone."
"H-hello…"
Son Gohan raised his small face. His cheeks were slightly red with embarrassment, and his voice was soft like a timid kitten. Still, he politely greeted everyone while clutching Goku's pant leg.
"Hello, Gohan!"
Broly and the others replied kindly, trying their best to smile gently so they wouldn't scare the shy child.
When Branch, who was sitting on Broly's shoulders, saw Gohan, he immediately became restless with curiosity.
He patted his father's head, signaling that he wanted to get down.
Broly understood and effortlessly set him on the ground.
The moment his feet touched the sand, Branch ran toward Gohan like a little leopard.
He stared at Gohan with wide eyes, carefully examining this new friend who also had a tail.
Gohan felt a little embarrassed under the direct gaze and lowered his head slightly. Even the tips of his ears turned red.
But after a moment, he looked up again and smiled shyly while scratching the back of his head.
"Hey… is this Broly's child?" Goku finally focused on Branch.
He looked at the boy, then at Broly.
"Yeah," Broly replied briefly.
"My name is Branch. What's yours?" the boy asked confidently.
"I… I'm Son Gohan. Nice to meet you," Gohan replied shyly.
"I'm four years old. How old are you?" Branch asked seriously.
"I'm four too!"
Branch immediately stepped forward and stood back-to-back with Gohan to compare their height.
After measuring carefully, he turned around proudly.
"I'm a little taller than you."
"So from now on, I'm your older brother."
"Okay?"
"Big brother!" Gohan immediately agreed happily.
Everyone burst into laughter.
The beach was filled with a warm and joyful atmosphere.
Even Broly's lips lifted slightly.
The two boys, both with tails, seemed to naturally get along like brothers.
Master Roshi stroked his beard.
"Son Gohan… you named him after your grandfather?"
Goku nodded.
"Yes."
Branch then grabbed Gohan's hand.
"Come on! I'll show you the beach. I know where the softest sand is!"
Gohan nodded excitedly.
Soon the two children ran across the beach together like carefree deer.
Their laughter echoed across the island.
Bulma watched Gohan's tail swaying behind him and frowned slightly.
"Goku… about Gohan's tail…"
"You haven't removed it?"
Goku laughed proudly.
"Doesn't it look just like mine when I was little?"
Bulma hesitated.
"Does he ever act strange?"
Krillin also looked worried.
After all, they had seen Goku transform before.
"What do you mean?" Goku asked.
"On full moon nights," Master Roshi said seriously.
Goku thought for a moment.
"No idea."
"We usually go to sleep early. Chi-Chi says kids should sleep early."
Roshi quickly waved his hands.
"No problem then. That's good."
Privately, he glanced at Broly and Branch.
Both had tails but never turned into Great Apes.
It was strange.
Bulma quietly pulled Krillin aside.
"Broly has never transformed into a Great Ape?"
"Never," Krillin whispered.
"I asked Launch before."
"She said on their wedding night they saw the full moon."
"Broly's body tensed up for a moment and his power increased… but he stayed conscious."
Bulma frowned.
"That's strange."
"They should be the same race as Goku."
"Why are their reactions to the moon so different?"
Krillin shrugged.
"Who knows?"
Bulma then turned back to Goku.
"Gohan must be very strong too, right?"
Goku scratched his nose.
"Maybe."
"I can feel a huge power sleeping inside him."
"But Chi-Chi doesn't let me train him."
"Why?" Krillin asked.
"She says the world is peaceful now."
"She wants Gohan to become a scholar."
Master Roshi laughed loudly.
"That fierce little girl turned into a strict mother!"
Goku then looked at Broly.
"Broly, have you been training these five years?"
"No," Broly replied immediately.
He even yawned.
Master Roshi chuckled.
"You think Broly likes training?"
"If he wakes up before noon, that's already a miracle."
Goku laughed.
"That sounds like Broly."
"Actually… I haven't trained much either."
"I've been farming, helping Chi-Chi, and taking care of Gohan."
Meanwhile the two boys were exploring the island.
Branch enthusiastically showed Gohan shells and strange stones.
Eventually Gohan noticed something unusual near the house.
"Brother Branch… what's this?"
He pointed to a strange table.
"Table," Branch replied simply.
Gohan blinked.
Then he pointed at the round metal object supporting it.
"What's this?"
"Table leg."
"That's a strange table leg…"
Gohan poked the metal sphere curiously.
Branch proudly explained.
"Grandpa said he found my dad on this island."
"My dad came out of this round thing."
"Later Grandpa used it as a table."
Bulma suddenly looked over.
"Wait…"
She walked closer and examined the metal sphere carefully.
"This design…"
"It's sealed, smooth, and aerodynamic."
"This material doesn't look like Earth technology."
Her eyes widened.
"This might be a space pod."
Roshi scratched his head.
"When I found Broly as a baby, he came in that thing."
"It floated to the island like a ball."
"I opened it and he was inside."
Bulma stared at it thoughtfully.
Suddenly—
Goku's expression changed.
His relaxed smile vanished instantly.
He turned toward the distant horizon with sharp eyes.
"What's wrong?" Krillin asked nervously.
"Something is coming…"
"Very fast."
Roshi squinted at the sky.
"I don't see anything."
Bulma crossed her arms.
"Maybe Yamcha finally came looking for me."
Krillin shaded his eyes and searched the sky.
Broly quietly looked in the same direction as Goku.
His eyes flickered slightly.
He had sensed it too.
Goku clenched his fists.
"A huge power… it's getting closer!"
"And it's really strong!"
WHOOSH—
A sharp sound tore through the air.
A figure descended from the sky like a meteor and landed heavily on the beach.
Sand exploded outward from the impact.
The man stood up slowly.
His cold eyes scanned the group before locking onto Goku.
A scar ran across his cheek.
"Hey… you've grown up, Kakarot."
The man tilted his head.
"I recognized you immediately."
"You look just like our father."
Goku blinked in confusion.
"Huh?"
Krillin whispered nervously,
"Who is this guy?"
"And who's Kakarot?"
The stranger's expression darkened.
"Kakarot!"
"You were sent to conquer this planet!"
"Why haven't you wiped out the humans yet?"
