Chapter 125 -  My Power Level Was 10,000 When I Was Born!

Krillin immediately checked on the four muscular men lying on the ground.

After confirming that they were only unconscious and not dead, he finally relaxed.

He let out a long breath before turning toward Vegeta with a complicated expression.

After all—

Vegeta had just been beaten half to death by Raditz earlier.

"So, what exactly do you want from me?"

Vegeta asked calmly.

He lifted the steak on his fork, placed it into his mouth, chewed, and swallowed naturally—as if the three people standing before him were merely ordinary customers passing by.

"You're the Saiyan Prince, Vegeta, right?"

Piccolo asked coldly.

"Correct."

Vegeta nodded casually.

"What are you doing here?"

Krillin demanded, trying hard to suppress his anger.

"Hmph. What do you think I'm doing?"

Vegeta snorted irritably.

"Obviously I'm eating. We spent over ten months traveling through space! The nutrient sludge inside those ships tastes disgusting. Now that I've finally arrived on a planet with actual food, is it really strange for me to eat something?"

Krillin: "..."

Krillin suddenly didn't know how to respond.

Honestly…

That sounded pretty reasonable.

They really had traveled for over ten months.

And living on nutrient paste the whole way sounded miserable.

"Your partner is already dead! Once you finish eating, hurry up and leave Earth!"

Krillin gritted his teeth.

"You're not welcome here!"

The moment he remembered Yamcha, Tien, and Chiaotzu—

His grief and rage surged upward again.

Before answering, Vegeta calmly devoured another entire plate of roasted lamb chops.

Then he finally spoke.

"Before I leave, I want to ask something."

His voice sounded calm.

But deep inside his eyes—

There was unmistakable urgency.

"How did Raditz increase his power level so much?"

Krillin immediately glanced toward Piccolo.

Because honestly—

Krillin didn't know either.

Everyone knew Raditz had become absurdly strong.

But aside from Goku and Broly's family—

Almost nobody knew how it happened.

"I don't know."

Piccolo shook his head coldly.

Truthfully, even Piccolo wasn't entirely sure.

He only knew Raditz had remained on Earth after losing to Goku—

And afterward his strength skyrocketed.

As for the details?

Piccolo never paid attention.

After all—

Only Broly and Blanch knew about Goku giving Raditz Senzu Beans.

Goku never talked about it publicly.

And Broly's family weren't the type to gossip.

"Is there some kind of miraculous item on this planet?"

Vegeta narrowed his eyes.

"Something that can instantly restore injuries and stamina after being eaten?"

His gaze moved carefully across Krillin and Piccolo's expressions.

Trying to catch even the slightest reaction.

"N-No! There's nothing like that!"

Krillin denied it immediately.

But his voice wavered ever so slightly.

And his eyes instinctively avoided direct contact.

"Hmph. Your expression already gave you away."

Vegeta smirked.

"So Raditz really did use some kind of miraculous item to raise his power level."

His logic was simple:

Raditz became stronger on Earth.

Therefore Earth possesses some special treasure.

That treasure restores injuries rapidly.

Saiyans become stronger after near-death recovery.

Raditz repeated the process until his power exploded.

The reasoning perfectly connected together.

Krillin stopped talking entirely.

He lowered his head silently.

He knew he had already exposed too much.

"Second question."

Vegeta leaned slightly forward.

"Where is Broly?"

Just as Krillin opened his mouth to answer—

CLICK.

The restaurant door opened.

Broly walked inside calmly.

The restaurant lights illuminated him softly.

Simple casual clothes.

No decorations.

No flashy aura.

Yet the pressure naturally radiating from him made the atmosphere inside the restaurant feel strangely heavy.

"Broly! You're here!"

Krillin's face immediately brightened with relief.

As long as Broly was here—

Vegeta shouldn't be a problem anymore.

Piccolo also stared deeply at Broly.

His green face revealed complicated emotions.

"Hello, Uncle Broly."

Gohan hurried forward respectfully.

Broly nodded gently toward him.

Then—

Broly turned his attention toward Vegeta.

His gaze moved slowly from head to toe.

As though evaluating something.

Finally, he asked calmly:

"You're the Saiyan Prince Vegeta?"

"You're… Broly?"

Vegeta stared blankly at the man before him.

The restaurant became so quiet that even the sounds from the kitchen could be heard clearly.

Outside the shattered window—

Pedestrians hid behind corners and walls while secretly peeking inside.

"Yes. I'm Broly."

Broly nodded lightly.

At that moment—

Broly suddenly felt that Vegeta looked strangely familiar.

He tilted his head slightly.

His brows furrowed faintly.

Like he was trying hard to remember something.

That sense of familiarity felt extremely vague.

Like looking through foggy glass.

"We… have we met somewhere before?"

Broly scratched his head in confusion.

The gesture made him look oddly innocent despite his terrifying presence.

Vegeta froze briefly.

Then slowly narrowed his eyes while carefully examining Broly again.

Met you before?

Impossible.

I've never seen a Saiyan like you in my life.

But after thinking for a moment—

Vegeta suddenly believed he understood.

A smug smile appeared on his face.

He leaned back proudly in his chair with folded arms.

"I'm the Prince of all Saiyans. Naturally every Saiyan would recognize me. So it's normal that you feel familiar with me."

Vegeta grinned proudly.

Krillin immediately rolled his eyes.

Even Piccolo's mouth twitched slightly.

Only Gohan looked genuinely thoughtful.

"Uh…"

Broly lowered his hand slowly.

"Do Saiyans remember things from when they were one year old?"

Vegeta: "????"

Vegeta completely froze.

Why would he suddenly ask that?

What kind of bizarre question was that?

Who remembers things from when they were one year old?

Vegeta looked at Broly like he was an idiot.

But Broly's expression was so serious that Vegeta unwillingly began considering the question.

"No. Saiyans usually only start remembering things around age three. Probably similar to Earthlings."

Vegeta answered honestly.

While speaking—

He subconsciously glanced toward Krillin.

Because Krillin was an Earthling.

"And that's exactly why your logic is wrong."

Broly shook his head calmly.

"I was placed into a space pod and exiled when I was only one year old."

Vegeta: "..."

For a moment—

Vegeta genuinely had no response.

Because Broly was technically correct.

If Broly truly left Planet Vegeta at age one—

Then he couldn't possibly remember Vegeta.

Which meant…

That strange familiarity…

The atmosphere inside the restaurant suddenly became awkward.

Wind blew through the broken wall outside.

The kitchen noises gradually quieted down.

Even the chefs seemed to be secretly listening now.

"Oh right."

Broly continued calmly.

"I heard your father was the one who exiled me to Planet Vampa."

"That planet had an extremely harsh environment. The only food there was insect eggs. There wasn't even proper drinking water."

Broly calmly repeated everything Merus once told him.

There was no anger in his voice.

No resentment.

As though he were simply retelling somebody else's story.

Yet the details—

Insect eggs.

No water.

A desolate edge-of-the-universe planet—

Made everyone uncomfortable.

Vegeta didn't know how to answer.

After a long silence—

He finally spoke.

"That's perfectly normal."

His tone turned cold again.

"Newborn Saiyans undergo talent evaluations immediately after birth."

He paused briefly.

"You can also call it a power level test. Low-level infants get exiled to remote planets. Kakarot is the perfect example."

Vegeta said it as though it were completely natural.

Because in Saiyan society—

It was.

The strong remained.

The weak were discarded.

Cruel.

But efficient.

"No wonder Goku got sent to Earth…"

Krillin whispered quietly toward Piccolo.

Piccolo remained expressionless.

But his eyes shifted slightly.

"This still doesn't make sense though!"

Krillin scratched his bald head anxiously.

"If Broly was sent to Planet Vampa, then how did he end up on Earth?"

Neither Piccolo nor Gohan knew the answer.

"I'm different from Goku."

Broly shook his head.

"According to what I heard, your father exiled me because he feared my power level."

The restaurant instantly fell silent again.

"You… what did you just say?"

Vegeta thought he misheard.

He leaned forward sharply.

Eyes locked onto Broly's face.

Fear?

My father feared a baby's power level?

Impossible.

Absurd.

Yet…

Broly sounded completely serious.

"How exactly are Saiyan talents measured?"

Broly asked again.

"The way you described those power level evaluations."

He calmly pulled over a chair and sat directly across from Vegeta.

"Hmph. Obviously by measuring the infant's power level immediately after birth."

Vegeta pointed toward Gohan.

"That kid is Kakarot's son, right? Raditz told me Kakarot's power level at birth was only 2."

"Uh…"

Broly glanced thoughtfully toward Gohan.

Gohan instantly turned red with embarrassment.

His father's power level was only 2 at birth?

That sounded unbelievably weak.

"With such pathetic power, he was classified as a low-class warrior among low-class warriors."

Vegeta smirked mockingly.

"That's why he got exiled to Earth."

Then Vegeta looked back toward Broly.

"As for you, I honestly don't know much."

The only reason Vegeta knew anything about Goku was because Raditz told him.

Normally—

A Saiyan Prince wouldn't waste memory space remembering weaklings.

"So if Goku never hit his head…"

Broly suddenly turned toward Krillin.

"Do you think he would've conquered Earth?"

Krillin: "..."

Cold sweat appeared on Krillin's forehead.

Why are we talking about this right now?!

"There's no way!"

Piccolo interrupted immediately.

"Don't forget the Guardian would never allow Goku to do whatever he wanted."

"Right! Exactly!"

Krillin nodded rapidly.

"Besides, back then Goku wasn't even stronger than Master Roshi!"

Vegeta: "..."

What is wrong with these Earthlings?

The topic somehow completely derailed again.

"Weird people…"

Vegeta muttered internally.

Then—

Broly suddenly smiled toward him.

"What about you, Vegeta?"

"What?"

Vegeta immediately became cautious again.

"What was your power level when you were born?"

The entire restaurant became silent once more.

Even the chefs secretly listening in the kitchen froze.

Vegeta remained quiet for several seconds.

Finally—

He answered.

"800."

His voice carried unmistakable pride.

Indeed—

Among the Saiyans after King Vegeta's ancestors migrated from Planet Sadala to Planet Plant—

Vegeta had been considered the most gifted newborn ever born.

King Vegeta once proudly told him:

"You are the greatest prodigy in Saiyan history."

"Your beginning guarantees a future beyond all others."

"You are the pride of the royal bloodline."

Even Piccolo looked shocked.

800 was far higher than expected.

Krillin's eyes widened even further.

A newborn with power level 800?!

If Vegeta had grown up on Earth—

Nobody could've stopped him.

Even Kami only had around 200.

Then—

Broly smiled lightly.

"Do you know what my power level was at birth?"

"Hmph. No."

Vegeta folded his arms again.

"You already know I don't know much about you."

Broly grinned brightly.

"My power level at birth… was around 10,000."

The restaurant froze.

Completely.

Everyone stared at Broly in absolute disbelief.

10,000?

At birth?!

That's impossible!

Vegeta's arrogant expression completely shattered.

Piccolo's antennae twitched violently.

Krillin's jaw nearly hit the floor.

Gohan's mouth formed a giant O-shape.

At that moment—

Piccolo suddenly realized something terrifying.

No wonder Broly once said he only used "a tiny bit" of power against Demon King Piccolo.

If Broly truly possessed 10,000 power level at birth—

Then Piccolo and Goku's strength during the Raditz Saga wasn't even comparable to a newborn Broly.

A chill ran through Piccolo's spine.

Then—

Vegeta burst into hysterical laughter.

"HAHAHAHAHAHA!"

"10,000?!"

"You're saying your power level at birth was 10,000?!"

"That's the funniest joke I've ever heard!"

Vegeta laughed so hard tears nearly formed in his eyes.

But unlike him—

Piccolo, Krillin, and Gohan weren't laughing at all.

Because Broly didn't look like he was joking.

Not even slightly.

His expression remained far too serious.

Too honest.

And one thing they all understood by now—

Broly never lied.

He had always been telling the truth.

They were simply the ones who refused to believe him.

At that moment—

Piccolo even felt slightly excited.

Finally…

Someone else was about to get their worldview shattered too.

Ever since Raditz arrived—

He himself had been repeatedly shocked beyond belief.

Now it was Vegeta's turn.

And strangely enough—

Piccolo found himself enjoying it.

A faint smile even appeared at the corner of his mouth.

"You really claim your birth power level was 10,000?"

Vegeta leaned forward with amusement still lingering on his face.

Clearly—

He still thought Broly was insane.
