Chapter 57 - Eldrin wakes up,visiting Teyvat

Back into the real world, Eldrin could be seen unconscious laying on the bed.

Suddenly, Eldrin's eyes opened wide, and Sebastian who was sitting in a chair opposite of him said with a grin.

"Welcome back to the world of the living, my liege."

But Eldrin had other worries and asked.

"How is Teyvat? Did we manage to bring Teyvat to our solar system safely?"

Sebastain answered with a smile.

"Of course my lord, right after you fell unconscious, Emperor Erskine aided the inhabitants of Teyvat by giving them resources and protection."

Eldrin nodded in relief and said while getting up from the bed.

"I see, but there's still some work to do, there are still certain individuals that I need to have a "polite" conversation with"Eldrin then turned to look towards Sebastian and asked.

"How much time has passed since I fell unconscious?"

"Approximately a week, my liege" answered Sebastian.

Eldrin was a bit shocked and asked.

"And you've been sitting here for a week doing nothing but looking after me, brat!?"

Sebastian answered with a smirk.

"We are the same age my liege, and yes of course, beings such as you and I perceive time differently; one week of doing nothing is the equivalent of doing nothing for 6 hours."

Eldrin couldn't refute that.

"You are absolutely correct, how could I forget that!, Perhaps even my near photographic memory is not absolute" Said Eldrin as he came to a realisation, for the first time in centuries, he actually forgot something, even when he had not awakened his powers, he perceived the flow of time differently due to his ageless nature, though he was still aware that was not the case for normal people.

But Eldrin put that aside, as his power grew, so did his capabilities, which may include his memory too. Eldrin manifested a black suit that did not hinder his black wings and said.

"Do you wanna come with me Sebastian?I will be visiting Teyvat ."

Sebastian Nodded and answered

"Of course my liege, wherever you go, I follow."

Eldrin said while walking outside of his wooden cabin.

"Then let us depart at once."

Somewhere in Teyvat, two men were walking around in the forest; it was of course Eldrin and Sebastian.

Eldrin was a bit confused; they had been walking for quite a while without seeing a single ,he couldn't help but ask.

"Sebastian, what happened to the hilichurls?"

Sebastian answered.

"The curse that was bestowed upon them was lifted by the ancient one, reverting all of them to their human form, my liege."he then continued.

"Emperor Erskine, along with the aid of the seven nations, gathered them all to give them shelter and supplies"

"It may take a while for them to adapt to the new Teyvat" added Sebastian.

"As expected of Erskine, how is he doing by the way? More paperwork i assume." asked Eldrin with an unusual smirk.

Sebastian answered with a similar smirk.

"That is quite the understatement my liege, the emperor has enough paperwork to last for decades to come"

"You may wanna hide, he will definitely come to you to ask for help" added Sebastian with a barely contained diabolical grin.

Eldrin seemed to realise something from Sebastian's smirk, and his eyes widened slightly but his face returned to calm and said.

"You sold me out, Erskine is heading to this exact location right now, is he Sebastian? "

But before Sebastian could curse his luck, Eldrin waved his hand, transforming Sebastian's appearance to his own.

"Sorry Sebastian, but there was no other choice, you have to sacrifice yourself for the greater good of humanity"said Eldrin with a pained gaze that actually hold mischief and added.

"A safe Darkling is also a safe humanity after all" and then Eldrin disappeared, leaving Sebastian in defeat and despair.

"There you are Eldrin! You're coming with me! That paperwork won't do itself!" said Erskine in anger as he appeared out of nowhere.

"NO NO NO NO NO NO, Wait wait wait wait, WAIT!" shouted Sebastian in despair but it was futile. Erskine had already grabbed him by the head, lifting him off the ground like a basketball and teleporting to his office with Sebastian in tow.

Outside of Erskine's office, cries of help could be heard for hours. Erskine had already realised that this was Sebastian and not Eldrin, but he did not utter one word; he couldn't do so much paperwork by himself,he would die of exhaustion and a safe emperor is a safe humanity after all.

Back in Teyvat, Eldrin appeared again in the same place that Erskine took Sebastian. He first started chuckling, but then gradually he broke out into a full psychotic laugh, no different than jokers.

After 2 minutes of psychotic laughing, he stopped and said in a solemn tone.

"Your sacrifice shall not be forgotten Sebastian. Your 'willingness" to aid me is much appreciated."

"Your bravery and courage befit a crown"Though Eldrin with a sadistic smile, and started thinking of making Sebastian a king for revenge.

That's right, that's Eldrin's way of revenge, or trolling as the youngsters say, being a king or a leader of a nation is the worst kind of responsibility that causes great psychological suffering, and Eldrin is an expert in making others kings.

"You shouldn't have sold me out Sebastian. I will make you a king at the first opportunity" said Eldrin already forming a plan in his mind.

But for now, he put that aside and flew in the sky to see what other changes Tevyat had gone through.

"The laylines have apparently grown stronger, making elemental magic more abundant, not only that, but the environment has shown considerable changes, positive of course and the animals too have become stronger, looking like actual magic beasts"

Eldrin then flew even faster towards Monstadt and scanned the people on to be surprised by what he saw. Eldrin, due to possessing Black magic could see the flow of magic energy in others, though not as accurately as the ancient one who had vast experience in magic.

The people actually had magical reserves, meaning that with the right guidance they could use magic, possibly become powerful mages depending on their talent, and natural magical reserves of course,it essentially made visions useless and unnecessary.

Which is kind of untrue, those with vision could undergo the surgery of fusing their vision with their bodies, making them vastly superior than normal mages without visions, not only that, but with enough time they can even evolve into elemental spirit hybrids.
