The days passed peacefully until it was November.
In a wooden cabin, Eldrin sat on his couch reading his biology books, but then he closed the book and got up.
He raised his hand, creating a portal with dark magic.
"Perhaps this may work, it is said that aside from the biofrost, dark magic can allow you to transport between realms and dimensions" Eldrin thought as he walked through the portal.
Eldrin was transported to a futuristic yet ancient city, a rainbow bridge could also be seen, which led straight to Odin's castle.
"Wonderful, such unique architecture, a marvel indeed." I thought as I flew towards the rainbow bridge and landed on it.
"Eldrin, I assume?" said a tall man wearing golden Asgardian armour with a firm and deep voice. It was Heimdall.
Eldrin turned around and answered with a slight bow.
"Yes, that is me. I apologise for coming here unannounced, but I bear terrible news."
Heimdall's eyes narrowed and he asked.
"What terrible news do you speak of?"
Eldrin answered in a solemn tone.
"Very soon, the dark Elves led by Malekith himself will infiltrate Asgard to search for the Aether."
Heimdall, even after hearing that, remained calm and said.
"That's impossible, I would have seen them coming long ago, I possess the all-seeing eyes, nothing can escape from them."
But Eldrin simply said.
"Even if it was highly advanced ancient cloaking technology with the capability to counter your all-seeing eyes?"
Heimdall's eyes narrowed slightly. Even if he was lying, it was too much of a risk, and even my all-seeing eyes are not absolute, that I'm aware of.
"Have you recently caught any new prisoners"asked Eldrin
Heimdall answered calmly.
"Yes, we have. Why do you ask?
Eldrin looked at Heimdall's eyes and said.
"One of them is a dark Elve, sent here specifically to infiltrate and initiate a prison break to sabotage Asgard."
Heimdall's eye widened slightly, but his expression became calm again, and he asked in a firm tone.
"Are you absolutely certain of this? If you speak lies, you will pay for this heavily."
'I have no reason to lie, nor do I wanna make enemies with Asgard." answered Eldrin.
Heimdall nodded and gestured for Eldrin to follow him until they reached Odin's throne and just as Heimdall was about to speak Odin interrupted him.
"There is no need, I have already heard your conversation. Suddenly, the guards brought a shackled prisoner and threw him on the ground, his cloaking technology was gone, revealing his true form, his face was horrific grey and reptilian,he had curved tusks coming out of his cheeks,he had no hair on his head, only 6 curved horns coming out of the back of his head, making him look monstrous, it was none other than Algrim the Strong.
Eldrin spoke respectfully with a slight bow.
"I have ways to make him talk if you wish, All-Father."
Odin raised one of his hands and said.
"There is no need for formalities, Mr.Eldrin. You may call me Odin, and we would be grateful if you could make him talk. Although your information is helpful, it's still not enough."
Eldrin simply walked towards Algrim and grabbed him by the neck, lifting him off the ground. Eldrin's eyes then turned a glowing purple. He raised his other free hand and created something like a screen made of darkness and dark magic, that showed memories, conversions, everything; all Algrim's secrets were laid bare before Odin.
After a few minutes, Odin's eyes narrowed, and he gave an order to the guards, "Bring me Thor and Loki, we must prepare for battle at once."
Odin then turned towards Eldrin, grateful and said.
"Mr.Eldrin, you have done Asgard a great favour; we are indebted to you."
Eldrin did not waste the opportunity to make Asgard allies with the human empire.
"An alliance between Asgard and the human empire would be ideal, if possible of course."
Odin was a bit surprised by this, after all, he could be considered the ancient protector of Midgard. And a human empire? He had heard Thor talk about this; perhaps it was time to visit Midgard to see what was going on there.
Odin asked puzzled.
"If I may ask, what exactly is the human empire'
Eldrin proceeded to explain to Odin how the human empire came to be.
After hearing Eldrin's long explanation, he was left baffled,"How absurd!, in a mere what 60-something years humanity united and reached a level comparable to us? "Though Odin, and he could tell Eldrin was not lying, after all, Heindall himself confirmed it to be true. But why was he not informed of this? Has our arrogance grown to this level that we would ignore something like this?!
"Father, what's going on? Why are the Elves invading us!" Thor's voice interrupted Odin's thoughts.
Odin turned to look at Thor and Loki and sighed. This child Loki had grown too much; gone was the arrogant, scheming boy who caused trouble and chaos, what was left was a mischievous but loving brother, who actually cared about his family and kingdom. He no longer schemes to overthrow Odin, accepting that he was not fit to be a king.
Odin answered Thor's question.
"For the Aether of course, prepare all troops for battle and evacuate the civilians at once"
Odin turned to Eldrin and was about to speak but Eldrin was faster and said.
"I shall stay here and provide you with aid,if you don't mind of course."
Odin simply nodded. He could tell this man was powerful, that black magic he used, not only that, Eldrin's demeanor at first may seem polite and kind, but it hides the spirit of a ruthless warrior.
Odin was no fool. The moment Eldrin arrived here, he was being observed by Odin himself who was ready to act at any moment, in case Eldrin decided to attack, but thankfully it was a false alarm.
