Luce: "I cannot believe the mother of mankind is still such a fool. It pains me to see that Adam has endured your existence for 930 years."
In a split second, Eve was in front of Luce and launched a punch directly at her face. Luce raised her sword just in time to block it. Eve unleashed punch after punch, each swing growing faster and more ferocious than the last. Luce struggled to match her speed, relying solely on her sword to deflect the blows. The more Eve fought, the darker her hair became, and her eyes slowly turned white. With one final devastating punch, Luce's sword shattered. In that moment, Luce understood — if Eve landed even a single clean hit, it would all be over.
In 0.03 milliseconds, Luce snatched the broken half of her sword. She slashed at Eve's face, but Eve caught the blade bare-handed. Luce released her grip and leaped back before Eve could retaliate.
Luce: (Damn it.)
Eve charged forward. Luce tightened her grip around the hilt of her broken sword.
Luce: (I never wanted to do this.)
As Luce raised the shattered blade, Eve skidded to a halt. Something had changed.
Luce: "Lord, I stand before You — lend me Your power!!"
The moment those words left her lips, white flames erupted from the broken end of the sword, blazing upward and reforming the missing half in holy fire.
Eve: "The holy flame… haha. Do you really think that can defeat me? I am nothing like ordinary humans. I have stood face to face with God and spoken to Him directly — something none of you could ever claim!!!"
Luce: (She's right. Even Moses was affected just by being near God. On top of that, sustaining this holy flame drains my power fast. If I exhaust my holy energy, I'll have no choice but to draw on the Holy Spirit itself. I just have to give everything I have.)
Eve: "Luce."
Eve surged forward. Knowing how dangerous Eve was at close range, Luce drove her sword into the ground. Eve anticipated the move — she leaped into the air at the last second. In that same instant, white flames erupted from the earth below her. Seeing Eve airborne, Luce seized the moment, wrenching her sword from the ground in a sharp upward slash.
Eve: "Sigh… you fool."
Eve drove her fist into the air. The shockwave that followed tore through the holy flames, scattering them instantly. Luce felt it immediately — her holy energy was nearly gone. Eve descended onto a nearby rooftop with calm, effortless grace, her hair pitch black, her eyes still white.
Eve: "Out of holy energy already? That's unfortunate."
Luce: "Ha. There's plenty more where that came from."
Luce shifted her stance — right foot forward, left foot back. Sweat dripped from her chin. She closed her eyes and drew in a slow, steady breath.
Luce: "Let's end this."
When she opened her eyes, white flames poured from them. Her blue hair faded to white, and the blade in her hand extended, growing longer and brighter with holy light.
Eve: "Using the Holy Spirit itself as fuel…"
Luce: "Does it matter?"
She inhaled deeply and exhaled — a cloud of steam rising from her lips.
Eve: (She's superheating her body from the inside… Interesting. Oh well, I'll simply use the spear Lucifer gave me.)
Eve raised her hand. A dark spear materialized in the air before her, hovering silently. She wrapped her fingers around it with a slow, satisfied grin.
Eve: "Well then — bring it on."
Both of them launched forward simultaneously. Luce's footsteps left trails of white flame scorched into the ground. They moved faster than light itself, exchanging blows in a blinding flurry.
Luce: (How is this possible? Her dark energy readings are almost nothing — yet she's still keeping up. Is she fighting on pure physical power alone?)
With every clash, Eve looked completely unfazed, as though she hadn't even begun to try. Then, in one fluid motion, Eve grabbed Luce's blade directly — the holy flames licking up her fingers. She drove a kick into Luce's gut, sending her crashing to the ground, then hurled the sword away. Eve glanced down at her hand as the flames continued to burn. She gave it a single shake, and the fire died.
Eve: "Well… that stung a little."
Luce pushed herself upright, her face cracked and bleeding.
Luce: "How did you hold the holy flame?"
Eve: "Do you really think holy fire can hurt me? You of all people should know — holy energy has no effect on me. And besides… it seems channeling the Holy Spirit is slowly killing you. Hahahaha."
Eve hurled her spear. It pierced Luce's shoulder and sent her staggering. Eve walked over calmly, retrieved her spear, and turned to leave — her hair gradually fading back to its natural color.
Eve: "Yawn… Lucifer has been fighting for a while now. I should check on things."
Luce forced herself upright. Holy flames poured from the wound in her shoulder, cauterizing it.
Luce: "Do you… think this is OVER?!!"
Eve stopped. She turned around slowly, her expression one of pure, unbothered boredom.
Eve: "…It seems I'll have to break you completely."
Meanwhile, on the other side of the battlefield, Adam rose to his feet. All of this had been unfolding simultaneously.
Adam: "Sigh… I told you all to leave it to me."
John: "Ha — and yet here you are, already struggling against the devil. How much worse will it get against a monster?"
John turned his gaze to Lucifer. His eyes went cold.
John: "How did you bring it back to life?"
Lucifer: "Let's just say I have my ways."
Moses: "What's even the point of reviving it? It's only going to die again."
Lucifer: "You humans are more foolish than I thought. This so-called monster was slain by God Himself."
Moses: "So you think it can kill us just because God was the one who had to kill it? As long as the Lord is with us, this means nothing. Isn't that right, John?"
Adam: "Lucifer is mine. You two handle that thing."
John: "In such a rush, great-grandfather?"
Adam: "…Don't call me that."
John snapped his fingers. A sword dropped from the sky and drove itself into the earth before him. He wrapped his hand around the hilt — and his eyes ignited, blazing yellow.
John: "Well then… let's get started."
Moses: "Don't mind if we do!!"
leviathan let out a thunderous roar. The first of its heads split open, and from the darkness within, something crawled out. The creature stood on two legs but looked like a twisted mockery of a human — its body encased in black scales, claws like blades, draped in glittering golden armor. Half its face was hidden behind a curtain of black hair, beneath which two dark, hollow eyes gleamed.
leviathan: "Lucifer… do these fools truly believe they can kill me?"
John: "Well then — we'll see about that."
Before Leviathan could even process the words, John was already there. In one fluid motion, he swung his sword. Levilamit lurched back just barely in time. But before it could catch its breath, Moses was already behind it, rod raised and ready. The strike connected — sending Leviathan crashing into a building.
Moses: "It's surprisingly weak."
leviathan dragged itself upright, eyes burning with fury. It raised one hand and dark energy poured out, twisting and solidifying into a trident. It seized the weapon and charged and so did Moses and John.
What followed was a brutal exchange. leviathan trident clashed against Moses' rod again and again, while John darted in from behind, carving into Levilamit's back. The moment Levilamit spun to deal with John, Moses would strike from the side. It didn't matter what Leviathan — John always seemed to know, always repositioning himself to shield Moses no matter the cost.
Leviathan: (Damn it… DAMN IT. These humans — how DARE they treat me like this!!)
As that rage ignited in its mind, a massive wave of dark aura exploded outward from Leviathan body, hurling both John and Moses back. Levilamit seized the opening — it grabbed John by the leg and launched him into a building. The moment John left the ground, Moses drove his rod into Leviathan leg. His eyes flared gold — holy energy coursing through him. He grabbed Levilamit by the face, slammed it into the earth, and sent it skidding directly into John's path.
John was already waiting. His sword crackled with lightning. He dashed forward and cut Leviathan clean in two. Then he turned and walked back toward Moses.
John: "We're not done with it yet."
Moses: "…What?"
John: "Something it's doing is interfering with my ability — it keeps cutting in and out."
