Damon stared at her. He blinked slowly.
He was not shocked by her greed. He knew she loved money. He actually found her direct, honest love for gold quite refreshing compared to the sneaky, lying nobles in the capital.
"Which one?" Damon asked casually, as if he were simply offering her a piece of sweet cake. He gestured with his hand slightly. "I have gold, diamond, Ruby, and others."
The moment the words "gold, diamond, Ruby" left his lips, Camilla's brain completely short-circuited.
Her eyes went so wide they looked like large, glowing coins.
Inside her head, her internal thoughts exploded with an incredibly loud, deafening noise.
CHA-CHING!
It was the loud, ringing, metallic sound of a cash register opening. The sound echoed so violently and so repeatedly inside her mind that it was practically screaming.
