In the news, a dire warning was broadcast: "The volcano Tribolo in Limko is predicted to erupt within a few days—its first explosion in 200 years. The resulting toxic ash clouds are expected to merge with the upper atmosphere and drift toward Fune. The President of Fune has already begun issuing precautionary alerts to the public."
Meanwhile, the hunt for the killer reached a boiling point. The police finally tracked Kem's energy signature to a secluded area.
"Everybody, be ready! We've found the killer, Kem!" the commanding officer shouted.
Kem stood his ground, watching the officers surround him with a cold, detached expression.
"Hands up, Kem!" the first officer ordered, his weapon drawn.
"I am not putting my hands up," Kem replied flatly.
"Do it, or else we will shoot!" the second officer warned.
Kem let out a sharp, mocking laugh. "Oh, I'm so scared," he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm.
The police opened fire. Kem moved with blurred speed, dodging the barrage of bullets as if he could see their trajectories in slow motion. He raised his hands toward an officer, attempting to blast him back with a wave of raw magnetic force.
Suddenly, he faltered. "Oh no... what's happening to my powers?"
He realized he could no longer simply push things away; his power was becoming more complex. As he accidentally jerked his hand to the side, the officer's body followed the movement exactly, as if caught in an invisible tether. Kem's eyes widened, and an evil smile spread across his face. He realized he wasn't just pushing objects—he was now manipulating the magnetic fields within their bodies.
With a violent flick of his wrist, Kem slammed the officer into the ground.
"Hahhahahaha!" Kem laughed, Kem watched the officer hit the ground, a dark realization dawning on him. He began moving his hands in downward, rhythmic motions, testing the tether he had established.
"I am going to name this power Demon Force," Kem declared, his voice cold and devoid of humanity.
He raised his hands toward another officer, capturing the man's body in an invisible, high-tension grip. With a surge of Emorta, Kem applied a crushing amount of force. The officer was thrown backward with significantly more violence than before, covering a massive distance before impacting the ground. Kem now fully understood how to weaponize the Demon Force.
Suddenly, another policeman fired a high-velocity round at Kem. Without turning, Kem used the Demon Force to seize the bullet mid-air. The projectile froze in place, suspended in a localized stasis field. With a subtle twist of his fingers, Kem reversed the bullet's trajectory and sent it spinning away.
Seeking to test the precision of his control, Kem captured another officer. Instead of throwing him, Kem held his own hands still and slowly rotated his fingers in a clockwise motion. In response, the officer's body began to twist unnaturally against his own will. The sound of snapping bones echoed through the clearing as the man's skeletal structure failed under the magnetic torque.
Kem erupted into an evil, jagged laugh. "Hhiiiaah! No one can defeat me!"
A FeroraFly suddenly screamed overhead, descending to engage the threat. Kem didn't flinch. He reached out with the Demon Force, seized the heavy aircraft, and slammed it into a nearby building with a deafening explosion of metal and glass. Having slaughtered the entire police squad, Kem vanished back into the shadows.
Sendu City Lockdown
Commissioner Jim Agard and Officer William arrived at the scene shortly after, finding only devastation.
"This monster killed a doctor yesterday, and now he's wiped out our cops," Agard said, his voice trembling with a mix of fury and fear. "This is escalating too fast. I have to speak with Mayor Eddie immediately."
After a frantic briefing, Mayor Eddie and the Commissioner made a drastic decision: Sendu City would be placed under total lockdown for five days.
The news broadcasted the emergency order across every screen in the region: "The government has officially declared a five-day lockdown for Sendu City. All citizens must remain indoors. We will not lift the order until the killer, Kem, is captured. No one enters, and no one leaves." Tadashi looked at Amaxo with urgency. "Amaxo, have you finished manufacturing the Muon Tentacles?"
Amaxo hesitated, looking at his readouts. "Hmm... not yet. We still require another two days to stabilize the nanoparticle structure."
"What?" Tadashi's voice rose in alarm. "Amaxo, you said within two days Kem will manifest his final remaining powers. You have to hurry!"
"I know!" Amaxo shouted back, his frustration evident. "But this is a highly volatile chemical and physical process. However, we can still face him. Don't worry; your girlfriend and her family are safe here within the Institute's reinforced shielding."
Tadashi let out a long, heavy sigh. "Okay."
Next Day: Night
The night sky over Sendu City was filled with the rhythmic hum of engines as a fleet of FeroraFlys patrolled the streets, searching for any sign of the killer.
High above, from the jagged edge of a mountain overlook, Kem watched the city below. "I have to kill them soon," he whispered to the wind, his eyes scanning the horizon. "But I don't know exactly where they are hiding."
Suddenly, a patrol FeroraFly detected a biological heat signature on the ridge. It pivoted and immediately engaged, firing a high-velocity blasting bullet. The projectile impacted Kem squarely, throwing him backward off the mountain's edge.
But instead of falling to his death, a miracle of physics occurred. Mid-air, Kem's body began to stabilize, then hover. His evolution was complete. He began to float, then surged upward with immense speed. With a single focused kinetic burst, he tore the FeroraFly apart in a rain of metal.
"Yeah... I can fly now, just like that superhuman," Kem said, a dark smile crossing his face. He began to soar over Sendu City, his senses searching for the specific energy signatures of Michal, Lucas, and Tadashi.
Moments of Quiet
Inside the Bright Future Institute, Tadashi found Kate sitting alone in a darkened hallway.
"Hey Kate, what are you doing out here?" he asked gently.
"Hey... I'm just thinking about my father and my brother," she replied, her eyes tired.
Tadashi sat beside her. "Don't worry. Nothing will happen to them. I will never allow them to be hurt again."
Kate looked at him and managed a small smile. "I know. But you haven't slept, have you?"
"No," Tadashi admitted. "But you seem exhausted. You should get some sleep." Tadashi walked over to Michal, who was sitting alone looking shaken. "Hey Michal," Tadashi said gently. "I wanted to talk with you. Let's have a Tebatu."
(Note: Tebatu is a popular local soft drink in Sendu.)
As they sat, Tadashi got straight to the point. "Tell me... what did you really do to Kem? Why does he want revenge against you and your father so badly?"
Michal let out a long, heavy sigh. "I didn't think I did anything that bad to him... I just bullied him two or three times. Back then, it felt totally normal. One day, my friends pasted a sign on Kem's back just to mess with him. I just stood there with them; I didn't actually do anything to Kem myself. Then, a friend brought me to Kem's house to pull more pranks. They were having 'fun' with him, but I just stood by the door."
He paused, his voice dropping. "One of my friends hurt Kem's cat. That's when Kem snapped and started hitting all of us. After that, our parents warned Kem and forced him to leave town."
Tadashi sighed deeply. "Bullying is one of the worst things in the world, Michal. I know how it feels; I was bullied a lot when I was younger, too. But I didn't care about them. If I had reacted to them back then, maybe I would have hurt them... and I know how much that hurts. I've been hurt by many people, but I never wanted to hurt them back."
Michal looked down, ashamed. "Yeah, dude... I understand now. I made a terrible mistake."
Tadashi clapped him on the shoulder. "Great. Let's change the subject. You're already scared enough, and I don't want to make it worse. Tell me... have you ever fallen in love?"
Michal's face brightened slightly. "Yeah."
"What's her name?" Tadashi asked, being friendly.
"Her name is Millie," Michal replied with a small smile. "She is a total super-genius, and she's really pretty."
Tadashi smiled. "Sounds like your girlfriend is pretty cool."
"Yeah," Michal said softly. "She really is." Tadashi leaned back, finishing his Tebatu. "Is she in love with you?" he asked Michal curiously.
"Yeah, I think so... but I'm not entirely sure," Michal admitted, looking a bit shy.
"Hmm. Sounds like it might be one-sided," Tadashi teased.
"No way! I think she loves me back," Michal insisted. "In two months, we're having a ball. At that ball, I'm finally going to tell her how I feel."
Tadashi smiled. "Huh... Great, dude."
"Hey, man," Michal said, his tone turning more serious and respectful. "Can I call you by your name? You know... since we're being friendly?"
"Yeah, dude. Of course you can."
Michal grinned. "Tadashi, can you please tell me... how did you manage to impress my sister so much?"
Tadashi laughed. "Oh, man... it was actually pretty easy."
The two continued talking like close friends, the tension of the previous days finally beginning to lift. In that moment, the former bully and the superhero became true allies.
Next Day: Morning
The atmosphere at the Bright Future Institute was electric with activity. Amaxo approached Tadashi, his face grim but determined.
"Tadashi, get ready. We have successfully manufactured the Muon Tentacles. We are going to install the mechanism right here inside the Institute. The government has ordered us to do whatever it takes within this facility and the surrounding area to stop him. We don't care if the building is destroyed in the process—the government has already promised to rebuild it. The lockdown was put in place specifically to clear the area for this operation."
"Hmm," Tadashi nodded, understanding the gravity of the plan.
Everyone began their assigned tasks as the sun began to set. By 6:00 PM, Kem was already seen circling the outskirts of Sendu City, his enhanced senses searching for Tadashi, Lucas, and Michal.
Amaxo checked the final energy readings on the Muon device. "Everything is ready," he said, his voice cold with anger. "Let's catch that bastard."
"Yeah," Tadashi agreed, his eyes glowing with resolve.
Michal looked between them. "Hey guys... do you have any actual idea how to bring him here?"
Amaxo turned to him with a dark, suspenseful smile. "Yeah... we have a plan."
Amaxo revealed a high-tech tracking device. "kem generates a massive amount of emorta in his cells. This is the Emorta Predator. It's designed to detect high-concentration Emorta energy signatures. It will lead you straight to him".
"But how will we know when I'm close?" Michal and Lucas asked.
"According to my calculations, Kem's energy output is so massive that when you are in his immediate vicinity, this device will suffer a total system collapse and stop working. It simply cannot tolerate that much raw Emorta".
Tadashi chuckled. "Yeah, I understood. I didn't miss science class".
"You know the plan, Tadashi," Amaxo said firmly. "Bring him here. We will be watching everything through the city's CCTV network. It's time. Go!"
The Forest Encounter
An hour passed as the group waited in agonizing silence at the Institute. Deep in the forest, Tadashi watched as the Emorta Predator screen flickered and then went completely dark.
"That bastard is here," Tadashi whispered. He activated his X-Vision, scanning the dense treeline until he locked onto a thermal signature.
Tadashi took flight, surging toward Kem at maximum speed. Kem heard the sonic boom and started to turn his head, but he wasn't fast enough. Tadashi landed a crushing blow to Kem's face and slammed him into the forest floor.
"Hhaaaah!" Kem roared in a blind rage. "You came back! This time, you will be the one who suffers!"
The two titans clashed, tearing through the landscape. Tadashi uprooted a massive tree and swung it with all his might, sending Kem crashing backward.
Kem slowly stood up, wiping blood from his lip. "You did the same mistake again. Are you ready to pay for this?"
Before Tadashi could move, Kem unleashed the Demon Force. He captured Tadashi in an invisible magnetic grip and slammed him violently against a jagged rock formation. A sickening crack echoed through the forest as Kem used his power to snap Tadashi's bones.
Tadashi screamed in agony. Kem moved in, landing punch after punch on Tadashi's face until the hero was soaked in blood.
Kem grabbed Tadashi by the throat. "Tell me," he growled. "Where are they?" Tadashi gasped for air, his body battered and bloody. "They... they are in the Bright Future Institute," he wheezed, feigning total defeat.
Kem let out a dark, triumphant cackle. "Good boy! I was planning to kill you here, but since you helped me, I'll let you live for now. I want you to watch while I destroy them."
Kem turned and began his slow, predatory walk toward the Institute. Above him, thunder roared, a jagged streak of lightning illuminating the sky—a dark omen of the violence to come.
He reached the heavy reinforced doors and tore them open. Inside, the hallway was silent except for the sound of his heavy boots. He rounded the corner to find Michal standing alone and defiant in front of a massive, metallic Bullet Box.
"Hahahahaha!" Kem laughed, his eyes glowing with malice. "You're going to die today, Michal!"
"No," Michal replied with surprising confidence. "Not today."
Kem's head snapped around, sensing a presence. "Is that bastard back already?" He looked behind him, but the hallway was empty. He turned back to Michal with a sneer. "That superhuman can't save you, poor Michal. I crushed every bone in his body; he can't even crawl, let alone fight."
Suddenly, the heavy doors of the Bullet Box hissed open.
The real Tadashi stepped out.
"Surprise," Tadashi said, his voice calm and completely steady.
Kem froze, his confusion turning into a mask of pure shock. "What?! How? I crashed your bones! You were soaked in blood—you couldn't even move!" he shouted.
Tadashi let out a short, sharp laugh. "That wasn't me, Kem. That was my Clone."
FLASHBACK: The Secret Ability
Weeks ago, during his genetic scanning in the stasis tube, Amaxo had looked at the data in awe.
"Tadashi... is that all?" Amaxo had whispered.
He looked at Tadashi for a long time before speaking. "No. You can do something far more complex. You have the biological capacity to generate a Bio-Molecular Clone—a physical duplicate of yourself controlled by your subconscious mind."
Just before the second fight in the forest, Tadashi had approached Amaxo. "I have an idea. I will manifest my clone and send him to the forest to find Kem. I'll let the clone take the hit and lead him directly back here into the Muon trap."
You tricked me!" Kem roared, his face contorted with fury.
"Yeah," Tadashi replied, readying himself for the real fight.
The two titans clashed with unimaginable force. The Institute's reinforced interior groaned and shattered as their battle tore through the facility, destroying walls and equipment in its wake. Despite his training, Tadashi was overwhelmed by Kem's raw, evolving power. A devastating blow sent Tadashi crashing to the floor, where he lay unconscious.
Kate, watching the brutal scene unfold via CCTV, couldn't stay away. She ignored the frantic shouts of Michal and Amaxo and ran toward the wreckage to find Tadashi.
"Hah! Finally... I've defeated the real one," Kem sneered, standing over the fallen hero.
"Hey, bastard! Get away from my Tadashi!" Kate screamed as she rushed at him.
With a careless flick of his hand, Kem pushed her aside. Kate flew backward, her body slamming into a jagged iron rod with a cry of agony. Her piercing scream echoed through the halls, and that sound—the sound of Kate in pain—jolted Tadashi back to consciousness.
At that exact moment, two seismic events occurred simultaneously. Inside Tadashi, a primal rage erupted, and miles away, the Tribolo Volcano finally exploded after 200 years of silence.
Tadashi stood up, his face covered in blood that flowed like molten lava. He began to walk toward Kem, as unstoppable and inevitable as the toxic volcanic ashes drifting toward the city.
"You hurt my Kate..." Tadashi whispered, his voice rising into a roar of pure rage. "HOW DARE YOU!"
Tadashi didn't just summon one decoy this time. He manifested five clones at once. Six versions of Tadashi swarmed Kem, attacking from every angle with relentless consistency.
Kem tried to activate his Demon Force to capture the real Tadashi, but Tadashi was faster. Using his X-Vision, he literally saw the radiation waves forming around Kem's hands. By predicting the energy output, Tadashi dodged the invisible magnetic grip entirely.
With a final, bone-shattering strike, Tadashi defeated Kem, breaking his left arm and knocking him into a deep unconsciousness. Amaxo saw the opportunity and slammed his hand onto the activation terminal. Suddenly, millions of pre-programmed nanoparticles flooded the air, drawing together to form a massive, glowing Nano-Ring in the center of the lab.
The ring hummed with power. From its outer edges, four primary Muon Tentacles lashed out like living whips, ensnaring Kem's arms and legs. Kem roared and struggled, trying to summon the Demon Force, but the high-density nano-structure held him fast.
Once the target was secured, a fifth tentacle emerged from the center of the rim. It surged forward, injecting the Muon Deactivator directly into Kem's chest.
"Haaaaah!" Kem screamed one last time as the counter-agent flooded his system.
The supercharged mitochondria in his cells—the "power plants" that gave him his monstrous strength—began a rapid process of permanent deactivation. The Emorta energy faded from his eyes, his muscles shriveled back to their original size, and the radiation waves of his Demon Force vanished entirely.
"Finally... everything has ended well," Amaxo whispered, leaning against his console.
"Tadashi won!" Lucas and Michal shouted, rushing forward.
The police arrived minutes later and took the now-human Kem into custody. The threat that had terrorized the city was finally over. Kate pulled Tadashi into a tight hug, tears streaming down her face. "I love you, Tadashi," she whispered.
EPILOGUE: Two Months Later
The scars of the battle had begun to heal. Tadashi and Kate were married in a beautiful ceremony, a symbol of hope for a city that had survived the impossible.
On the night of the grand ball at the Institute, Michal stood nervously in his best suit.
"Hey dude," Michal said, approaching Tadashi. "Today is the ball I told you about. Remember?"
Tadashi laughed, patting his friend on the back. "Yeah, dude. I think you're going to propose to Millie today, right?"
Michal chuckled, his hands shaking slightly. "Yeah... I'm finally going to tell her about my love."
"Hmm, good," Tadashi encouraged.
"I'll go near her and ask... 'Do you love me?'" Michal practiced, looking at his reflection. "How is my dress? Do I look okay?"
"You're looking good," Tadashi replied. "Bro, let me drop you off at the entrance."
As they reached the ball, Tadashi gave Michal one last piece of advice. "Go and tell her. But whatever happens, don't lose your confidence, okay?"
Michal took a deep breath. "Hmm, got it," he said, steadying his nerves.
He walked into the ball with a confident smile and found Millie. To his immense joy, when he proposed, Millie smiled brightly and accepted his love. They spent the rest of the night dancing happily and sharing long, meaningful conversations.
Later that night, Michal sent a quick message to Tadashi: Millie accepted!
Tadashi laughed as he read the text and replied: "Great job, dude. You did it, man!"
Just as he sent the reply, a notification for a "Speed Mail" popped up on Tadashi's device.
"What?" Tadashi muttered, confused. "I got a priority mail from the Zem Government?"
He opened the digital letter and began to read:
> CONGRATULATIONS!
> Due to your extraordinary bravery and demonstrated biological capabilities, you have been selected as one of the primary leaders in the Volt X Association.
— From Zem Government
Tadashi stared at the screen, his mind racing. "What? Holy shit..." he whispered, still in total shock..
