Chapter 54: Invincible Voices from Behind the Door! Muda Muda Muda...!

....

"What?! Floor 11 is cleared already?"

"As expected of the Fatui..."

"Quick, get the team together! Let's head to Floor 12 and check it out!"

"Understood, Young Master."

The player base was in a state of shock. No one expected Floor 11 to be conquered so swiftly, and a massive migration toward the Floor 12 gateway began almost immediately.

...

Seito's Apartment.

Back in his master bedroom, Seitomaterialized once again. This session of "Realistic Login" had left his heart racing.

If he hadn't dodged the Phantom Mage's final desperate explosion, he would have been finished—permanently. No respawns, no second chances.

I survived, but that was a wake-up call, he thought. From now on, I need to be smarter. No more reckless gambles.

"I'll decide between the helmet and my physical body based on the situation,"

Seito muttered to himself. If the risk was astronomical, he'd use the interface. If it was manageable, he'd go in personally to hone his real-world combat instincts. Most players treated death as a minor setback, but Seitoknew better than to grow complacent. A little healthy paranoia was a good thing.

Click.

The bedroom door creaked open. Kanade stood there, her silver hair catching the light, looking as stoic as ever. She placed a small hand on her stomach.

"Seito-kun, I'm hungry."

"I'll get right on it," Seitosmiled, walking out of the room.

It was late, and while most people were already tucked into bed, they hadn't eaten a proper meal since the raid began. He headed to the kitchen and grabbed a small electric grill along with a generous assortment of meats. At 10:30 PM, there was no better midnight snack than BBQ.

Seito set up the equipment on the living room table, brushed some oil onto the grill, and laid down the first strips of marinated beef.

"Kanade, come sit."

She obeyed, perching on the chair next to him. A few minutes later, the first batch was ready. Seitodusted the meat with cumin and chili flakes before handing her a plate.

"Try this."

Kanade picked up a piece with her chopsticks, blowing on it gently.

"Hooo... hooo..."

"Amu~"

As she chewed, a soft blush crept onto her cheeks, and a rare expression of pure contentment washed over her face.

"Delicious... Seito-kun should eat too."

"I will."

The two of them enjoyed the quiet meal for nearly an hour until they were both thoroughly satisfied. Seitostood up to clear the table, carrying the dishes to the kitchen to wash up. Kanade watched him from the living room; through the open kitchen door, his busy silhouette felt warm and grounding. She felt her face heating up again, her heart fluttering at a thought she couldn't quite put into words.

When Seitoreturned, he noticed her dazed look. "What is it? Are you still not used to being here?"

"No," Kanade shook her head quickly.

"Alright then. Let's get some sleep." Seitolet out a long yawn and headed for his room. Kanade followed suit, retreating to her own guest room.

The night passed in silence.

The Next Morning—9:00 AM

A sleek black sedan pulled up in front of Seito's apartment building. The doors opened, and a pair of sisters stepped onto the pavement.

The elder sister wore a long, flowing dress that perfectly accentuated her height while giving off a playful, spirited vibe. The younger sister wore a casual outfit paired with a mini-skirt; she looked cold and aloof, yet undeniably cute.

"I never expected little Yukino to actually volunteer to come here," Haruno Yukinoshita teased, glancing at her sister.

Yesterday after school, Yukino had approached her, stating she wanted to accompany Haruno to Seito's place. This had shocked Haruno—Yukino hadn't brought Seitoup, let alone visited him, since middle school. Haruno had assumed they'd had a falling out, but seeing her sister now, she realized it was just a severe case of tsundere syndrome.

So cute, Haruno thought mischievously.

"Hmph," Yukino snorted, looking away. "I'm just here to see how he's doing. I'll be leaving immediately after."

So dishonest~ Haruno's grin widened.

Tap, tap, tap.

Footsteps approached from the side. The sisters turned to see Amou kirukiru walking toward them, carrying a heavy bag filled with various bottles of alcohol.

"Yukino Yukinoshita? You're here for Seito too?" Amou asked. They had been classmates in middle school and were both part of Seito's social circle, so they recognized each other instantly.

"Yes," Yukino nodded flatly, her eyes dropping to the bag. "And you are...?"

"I'm here to grab a drink with him," Amou laughed boisterously.

"Long time no see, little Amou~" Haruno chimed in with a wave.

Amou's eyebrow twitched. She knew Haruno, but she didn't particularly like her. Haruno's "playful" tone felt like a mask that could talk to anyone without ever revealing anything real. It made Amou feel restless.

"Let's go up," Amou said, ignoring Haruno and turning toward the building. The Yukinoshita sisters followed closely behind.

A minute later, the three of them stood outside Seito's front door. Haruno reached out and knocked.

"Moshi moshi~ Seito-chan, are you there?"

Silence followed. They waited for a few moments, but there was no response from inside. Just as Haruno was about to knock again...

Clatter!

THUD!

The sound of something heavy hitting the floor echoed through the door. Then, two powerful, unmistakable voices roared from within the apartment, shaking the very air the three women breathed:

"MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA...!!"

"ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA...!!"
