"Talking is one thing, and fooling around is another... but why the hell are you pulling up your pants right now?"
Seito and Hidetoshi stared at Iori Kitahara in sheer bewilderment. As Iori spoke, he pointedly adjusted his waistband, as if he were deathly afraid they wouldn't realize what he'd just finished doing.
"Talking definitely feels more confident after a... 'cleansing,' doesn't it?" Hidetoshi Tabata remarked dryly, eyeing him with a mix of disgust and pity.
"It really does," Iori replied with a serene, Sage-like smile, looking as if he had just achieved spiritual enlightenment.
"Everyone has their 'Sage Moment,' don't treat a fleeting second like an eternal state of being," Hidetoshi retorted.
Seito didn't stick around. Seeing the two of them spiraling into their usual idiocy, he used Spatial Move to blink away instantly.
'Too stupid. I am definitely not like them.'

Back at the Executive gathering, Ako and Secretary Fujiwara had arrived. Seito swept his gaze over the group. "Let's move. Target: Floor 13."
With a flash of light, the group teleported.
One Hour Later. Floor 13 Boss Maze.

Seito stretched his muscles as he looked at the charred remains of the massive fire elemental he had just soloed.
Before this fight, he was Level 30. The experience from a solo Boss kill at this tier was only enough to push him three levels higher. Post-Level 30, the scaling shifted: every level granted +50 to all base stats, 200 free attribute points, and a massive 100,000 HP boost. Divinity still trickled in at 1 point per level, though this Boss had only yielded an additional 5 points of Divinity upon death. Still, progress was progress.
His status panel had undergone a radical transformation:

In just three levels, his speed had jumped by 4,000 points. The scaling was becoming terrifying.
Seito closed the panel and looked at Haruno Yukinoshita, who was currently "slacking off" nearby. "Haruno, this is a high-burst Mage set. It's yours."
He handed over the Flame Demon Set. Like the Traveler set, it was a four-piece unique Orange kit.
"Whoa! For real?!" Haruno rushed over, her eyes sparkling. A unique Mage set at this stage was priceless.
"Just take it." Seito shoved the gear into her arms. In their group, she was the only one specialized in offensive magic. While Ako was a caster, she was effectively a Priest focused on healing; giving her a high-explosive fire set would be a waste.
Haruno didn't hesitate, immediately equipping the glowing red gear. Since the set amplified fire-elemental damage, she decided her future build would focus entirely on pyromancy.
"What's the plan now?" Maple asked. The Executives had followed him here but hadn't actually needed to lift a finger while Seito tore through the Boss. They were itching for action.
"You guys handle the local quests and material farming," Seito decided. "We've skipped a lot of content by rushing through these floors. I'm going to head up to Floor 15 and scout ahead."
The group nodded. Given Seito's current strength, there was zero risk of him being wiped out. Having the rest of the team focus on leveling and guild resources was the most efficient move.
10:00 PM.
Seito had blitzed his way to Floor 18!
Since it was getting late, he decided not to push for the Floor 18 Boss just yet. Instead, he returned to the guild base to rest. He had reached the current level cap of Level 40—the maximum possible level for the first twenty floors.
His haul for the day was staggering: two Mage sets, one Brawler set, and one Shield-Tank set. He had already given the Brawler set to Kirukiru Amou, but he kept two specific pieces for himself.

The Floor 16 Boss had been a spatial user as well, making it a long, grueling fight, but these two drops made it entirely worth it. These pieces would serve as the "cores" for crafting Gold-tier gear later. At Level 40, Seito was now officially "maxed out" for this stage of the game.
All he needed now was for Floor 20 to open so he could push toward Floor 50 and complete Cang Feiyun's quest regarding the Ancient Ruins.
I wonder if I'll find a Divinity Spark there, Seito mused. He knew he could eventually unlock a Godhood status, but the "how" remained a mystery. Even a fragment of a Spark would be enough to study.
With these thoughts in mind, Seito opened his personal panel one last time to finalize his progress.
