Chapter 269: "Seito's Going to Throw Down with the New Assistant Advisor!"

....

Seito: "???"

Shizuka Hiratsuka: "???"

Everyone else: "???"

The entire class was stunned. The person Yamaguchi Daifuku was referring to... seemed to be Seito?

Shizuka cast a peculiar glance at her new colleague. I don't recall saying anything about provoking Seito... She decided to keep her mouth shut. Seito was one of hers, after all; she figured she'd let him handle it himself.

The students' eyes darted back and forth between Seito and Yamaguchi. This was a first—a teacher walking in and immediately picking a fight with the most dangerous person in the room.

In reality, Yamaguchi's thought process was quite simple. In his past life, he was just a low-level thug following a local boss—basically a career delinquent. Fortunately, his academic background was decent enough that he eventually landed a real job. He had vowed to turn over a new leaf.

However, when he heard that the class he was assigned to had a "lawless delinquent" who acted like he owned the place,

Yamaguchi got a headache. But then he had an epiphany: to tame a brat, he had to use his "street" persona. If he could break the toughest kid in class on day one, his authority would be absolute.

I'm a genius, Yamaguchi thought as he scanned the room. Though he didn't know exactly which student was the "problem child," he assumed whoever it was must be shaking in their boots from his intimidating aura.

"Hoh~? Are you picking a fight with me?"

Seito stood up abruptly.

Yamaguchi: "..."

Hey! You're not following the script! And... Damn, this kid is way too handsome! As a single man in his thirties, Yamaguchi felt a sudden pang of jealousy. He was genuinely taken aback. With his scarred face and menacing suit, shouldn't Seito be terrified?

But... was he actually going to hit a student?

Of course not! He'd worked too hard for this job; he couldn't risk being fired on his first day. Scaring the kid into submission was the goal.

Gazing at Seito, Yamaguchi let out a cold snort. "It's not a provocation. As a student, if you don't focus on your studies and do your duty, how do you expect to survive in society?!~"

Yamaguchi spouted the cliché nonsense. Seito remained expressionless, though he wanted to laugh. The times have changed. In the world to come, strength would be the only currency. Those obsessing over textbooks were simply those failing to keep up with the "Game."

"Enough talk."

Seito shrugged off his overcoat and ran a hand through his hair, slicking it back. "Let's go. Let's step into the hallway and have a little... 'exercise'."

Yamaguchi: "..."

Holy sht!!* His eyes nearly bulged out of his head. He had never seen a student this arrogant.

He turned to look at Shizuka Hiratsuka, expecting backup, but he was met with total indifference. Aren't you the head advisor? Do something! Shizuka, however, didn't care. As long as you weren't trying to become a career criminal, a little scrap at Sobu High was no big deal. She herself punched the boys in her class on a regular basis.

Just then, Hidenori Tabata, who was running late, happened to witness the standoff through the back door of Class D. Without a word, he sprinted into Class E next door.

BAM!

Mafuyu Kirisu, who was supervising morning self-study, looked toward the door. Just as she was about to scold him for the interruption, Hidenori let out a roar:

"Seito is about to go at it with the new assistant advisor of Class D!"

The room went silent for a heartbeat. What? A fight?

"Holy sh*t! I gotta see this!" Kitahara Iori bolted upright and charged out the back door. His reaction sparked a chain reaction among the boys of Class E.

"Bro, wait for me!"

"Iori, did you drop some money?!"

"Is this... a new way to scam people?"

"Piss off! Wait for me!!"

Stomp, stomp, stomp, stomp!

A literal tide of boys from Class E flooded into Class D. Shizuka Hiratsuka watched with a wry expression but said nothing. She wasn't worried about the class's university admission rates anymore. Since the students of Class D had all started their "Path to Godhood," their learning speeds were off the charts. They'd likely all get perfect scores on the finals anyway. This was why Shizuka had become so incredibly laid-back.

"What are you all doing in Class D?!"

Yamaguchi barked. He actually felt a surge of relief seeing the Class E boys—they were the perfect distraction to change the subject!

"Teacher, didn't you say you were gonna thrash Seito? Get on with it!" Iori shouted provocatively.

Yamaguchi choked on his words. This kid was hitting right where it hurt. He was dying of embarrassment internally; he had just been acting tough. He didn't actually have the guts to hit a student.

At that moment, Mafuyu Kirisu walked in. When she saw Yamaguchi, her expression turned strange. At Sobu High, the entire faculty knew that Seito was the God Domain's top player, "Sei," and that he had already ascended to godhood. The only reason they didn't talk about it openly was because they'd all signed non-disclosure agreements. Seeing Yamaguchi pick a fight with a literal god was... baffling.

"Alright, alright~" Hidenori Tabata pushed up his glasses with a look of pure mockery. "No way... are you actually scared? Can't handle him?"

"Then why were you acting so tough just now?"

The tone was incredibly punchable. Yamaguchi's face flushed a deep crimson. Scared? He just didn't want to lose his job!

"Teacher."

Seito's voice cut through the noise, and the room fell instantly silent. Seito's lips curled into a smirk.

"Let's not make this complicated. This is between us; nobody's going to snitch. How about this: if you can take just one punch from me, we'll call it even. What do you say?"

Yamaguchi blinked. Take one punch? That's it? It sounded too easy. He couldn't imagine any world where he would lose a "one punch" challenge. He nodded firmly.

"Fine. Do your worst."
