Chapter 52 - Chapter 52: The Unwillingness from the shingu!

Night is the assassin's paradise, and the night is the assassin's best protective color.

Kaede walked alone in the Governor's courtyard without making a sound, observing the defenses here.

You say that last time, Miyake even directly infiltrated and succeeded?

That was just a low-level mission; the mission target had no defenses at all, unlike now.

Kaede had already discovered at least a few guards hidden in the darkness.

Kaede was confident that she could infiltrate the Governor's room and complete the mission directly without them discovering her, but if she did that, those guards hidden in the darkness would be very troublesome, especially since there should also be some guards inside the room.

You say to assassinate all these guards first?

Doing so seemed even stupider.

At this moment, Kaede couldn't help but frown.

The protection was really tight~

In the end, Kaede could only abandon the idea of taking action tonight.

"Tomorrow is the day he goes out hunting, right?"

Suddenly, a cold smile appeared on Kaede's face, "Then I will conduct a hunt as well."

Thinking this, Kaede's figure quickly disappeared from the Governor's mansion, leaving not the slightest trace.

And what Kaede didn't know was that while she was thinking this, at the same time on the other side, those seven people had also made the same decision: to strike during this hunt!

...

The next day, Kaede was already waiting for the arrival of the prey in the forest where the hunt was taking place.

To tell the truth, Kaede also wanted to test her shingu; in her perception, it seemed to only enhance her physical constitution and recovery ability, and it had no other use at all.

However, Kaede always felt that this shingu did not seem that simple.

Thinking this, Kaede finally saw the arrival of the prey, but Kaede did not move.

Sure enough, afterwards, some more guards followed in and hid in the darkness.

"Really, he cherishes his life enough."

Regarding this, Kaede could only say this, but the fact that the Governor was prey could not be changed; even so, it could not save his life.

At this moment, Kaede finally followed.

Then, what made Kaede a bit stunned was that the tracks of those animals were a bit strange; it seemed they were deliberately driven here, and the Governor, who was immersed in the joy of hunting, did not notice this at all and kept following these prey.

"Pretty fast, Elite Group."

After thinking about it slightly, Kaede understood what was going on.

At this moment, Kaede also felt a little excited in her heart; this meant she would be able to see Akame.

However, for Kurome's sake, Kaede's eyes became firm; this prey could not be given to you all!

Originally, she wanted to find the most suitable time to start the action, but since she knew of the existence of the Elite Group, the action could only be advanced.

Her agreement with Bill was to kill this Governor before the Elite Group did.

Come to think of it, she should thank the Elite Group for their help.

Those guards were not close to the Governor's position, because the Governor had been riding his horse and chasing the prey wildly, so the surrounding Soldiers also showed signs of fatigue.

Kaede had already observed everything well.

At this moment, she was observing the terrain, walking step by step without a sound.

The terrain included the ground under her feet, the number of trees, cover, and the maximum distance she could approach.

Everything had to be done perfectly to maximize the success rate of the assassination and achieve a perfect assassination!

At this moment, Kaede had arrived at the maximum position she could approach with her current abilities; next was the moment to launch the assassination.

One strike would solve it, and then she could just take his head and fly away.

Relying on her speed and the effect of the shingu, Kaede believed that no one could catch up to her.

There would even be no aftermath.

If she didn't act now, when would she act?

Kaede moved.

Her sprinting figure was so hidden and so silent.

Perhaps the guards over there had discovered her, but they didn't even have time to make a sound before they saw that Kaede had already arrived behind their Governor.

Even when Kaede arrived behind the Governor, the surrounding Soldiers and the Governor, who was still there laughing wildly while chasing the prey, had not yet discovered her.

The Soldiers in the back felt their vision blur, as if something had appeared behind the governor, but they couldn't even clearly see what it was.

Fresh blood splattered. The governor's smile still lingered on his face, as if he hadn't yet realized what had happened, but his body had already collapsed. His head had been placed into a bag. While regular missions didn't require this, it was the only way to prove she was the one who killed him.

Kaede's movements held not a hint of hesitation, flowing in one continuous motion. All that remained was to escape.

However, Kaede froze. Looking at the blood flowing from the corpse, a scorching sensation suddenly welled up within her body. Her own blood was boiling, howling, preventing her from leaving.

At that moment, a massive blood-colored dragon seemed to appear before Kaede's eyes. With its long, sharp horns, slender limbs, and scales the color of fresh blood covering its entire body, Kaede felt as if the dragon was staring right at her with its pair of blood-red eyes.

"Why are you dissatisfied?" Kaede could tell; she understood the Blood Dragon's emotions. "It's dissatisfaction, isn't it?"

"Roar!"

A massive roar seemed to echo in Kaede's ears. She closed her eyes, and when she opened them again, her crimson pupils had turned the color of fresh blood, as if they might spill over at any moment!

In that split second, everyone reacted and surrounded Kaede.

The few people in the trees nearby saw this and initially wanted to go down to help. After all, that person looked exactly like one of their companions—they even thought it was her at first. But the difference in clothing and the gap in strength made them realize that the person before them wasn't their usual companion, though she definitely shared the closest of bonds with her.

However, the next moment, they lost the urge to help, as a feeling of fear welled up from the depths of their hearts.

"Something is about to come out," Chikushi said, trembling while covering her mouth.

"Ah, it seems she doesn't need our help," Nahash said, gripping his Water Dragon Sword, watching Kaede, who was constantly exuding a dangerous aura, with vigilance.

"Kaede!!" At this moment, Akame finally arrived. Seeing Kaede surrounded, she couldn't help but call out.

However, Akame's body, which had been about to rush down to help Kaede, was suddenly held back by Cornelia behind her.

"What are you doing! That's my sister!!" Akame glared at Cornelia.

"I can see that. But it seems your sister doesn't need your help," Cornelia said, looking at Kaede with a grave expression.

Kaede looked at the group surrounding her and asked, "Did you hear it?"

"Do you hear it expressing its dissatisfaction?"

"Is it the resentment that even though it is the strongest Danger Beast, it cannot compare to any Teigu because of a flawed secret technique?"

As Kaede spoke, a smile appeared on her face, and the last shred of sanity in her eyes finally vanished right there.

"Is she crazy?" those people thought as they listened to Kaede talking to herself. They had been frightened by that momentary dangerous aura, but now it had vanished, as if it had never existed.

Therefore, they prepared to attack! It was just a little girl, after all!

But, the next moment.

"Roar!!" A roar that seemed to come from ancient times tore through time and space, crossed boundaries, and pierced the soul, resonating in the depths of everyone's heart—a roar of unreconciled resentment!

"Kill!"
