As the sun peeked through the window illuminating the whole room, the alarm suddenly rang. Jane immediately woke up and turned it off. Rembering the plans they had for today ,she got off from the bed stretched a bit and left her room to call her parents. When she got to their door, she knocked and called out gently "Mom,Dad ....are you guys up?... Yes replied her mom. She could hear them getting off their beds. Not quite long, the door was opened and they came out.
"Dad,Mom... Concerning the plan we had yesterday, what do we do next?.... Stash every remaining items in your space and I will head out to call the police said Jane's dad.
Immediately after her father left,Jane stashed the remaining items in the house to her space . Checking the time her mother let out a loud as scream that startled the neighbors. One by one they all came out and started knocking on the door. Jane giving her mom the cue , opened the door to let them inside . As they walked inside you could hear them gasp at the emptiness of the house. The house have been stripped bare.
"Who knows who the Meyers family have offended said Mrs Houston, the neighborhood gossip.
The others nodded in agreement.
Mrs Edinburg was rendered speechless by the other women. I can smell jealousy all the way. You all are jealous of Mrs Meyers and her family. Instead of being kind and considerate you all are rubbing salts to their injuries. It could happen to any of us. Who knows who is next on the line? The other women's faces flushed red out of anger and shame.Mrs Houston is known for her sharp tongue and she can fight as well. She can scold you into tears. Mrs Houston hissed and went to Mrs Meyers and Jane her daughter to comfort them. I'm sorry for what happened to you people. Thankfully no life was lost. I believe the police will help you people to recover your lost valuables.
"Thank you Mrs Houston said Jane and her mom. They rubbed their eyes till it turned red which made others pity them. Not quite long Jane's father came back with two police men. As the officers came in , the people made space for them. The officers were shocked at how the bare the whole house was. The thief stripped everywhere clean muttered one of the officers.
"Mr Meyers,did you happen to hear any noise ? No constable. We ate dinner and went to bed . I think that we might have being drugged b cause there is no way we wouldn't have heard the noise as they moved all of our properties. Jane and her mother also nodded in agreement.
"That is strange, we would like to ask you did you happen to have issues with anyone? No , I do not recall having a feud with anyone.
That's right muttered one of the neighbors. The Meyeers are very peaceful and troubleless.
The younger police man was noting down the answers. One last question mr Meyers... Do anyone have access to your key and who knows about the huge sum you withdrew yesterday? Mr Meyers answered, apart from myself, wife and daughter Jane nobody knows. They also did not leave the house yesterday. We were making plans to return to the countryside now we are broke. We can't even afford the train tickets. My other three sons are in the military. Okay Mr Meyers,we would do all in our power to apprehend those responsible for this. Thank you officers said Mr Meyers.
The officers also asked the neighbors who also did not hear any strange noise . After seeing there are no witnesses,they left while muttering to themselves on how strange the whole thing was. Seeing as the officers left, the neighbors started leaving one by one , as they were no drama to watch again. Some of them said a few polite words to the Meyers and hurriedly left to their homes. Seeing that they have left , Jane shut the gate and also closed the door to the living. Jane winked at her mother and the smiled in relief
Jane led them to her space and they smiled. Thankfully, the first part of our plan is already over. Mom, I never knew you were such an actresses. If I was not part of the plan , you would have successfully fooled me. Silly girl, we have to show the despair on our faces to convince them of the lie. Dad what are we going to do next asked Jane? My dear daughter we will write to your brothers and then head to the countryside. I'm hungry let us eat first and we will discuss the rest, okay dad said Jane.
As they walked into the dinning room of the "mansion space" they washed their hands and Jane set the table. She brought out roasted chicken, a stir fried dish and three bowls of noodles soup with shredded meat. They all had healthy appetites and they ate everything cleanly without leaving any leftovers. Afterwards they burped in satisfaction. Her parents took a short stroll in the space while Jane cleared the table. After clearing the table, she loaded the dishes in the dishwasher and went to check out the farm. One thing she liked about her space is that she can control everything with her mind. Seeing that the crops were ready, she harvested it with her mind and put it in different large bags. Gathering the medicinal herbs, she put it in the storage section and brought out a few large basket to gather eggs. Afterwards she went to the poultry section . She checked the chicken area and gathered most of the eggs and left few to hatch. Seeing that all the animals like.cow,goat, pig were still reproducing she thought of going to the black market to sell of some . "Thankfully nothing spoils in this space or it would really be trouble" Jane said to herself
Afterwards she placed the baskets of eggs in the storage space. She headed back to her mansion , she met her parents and they went upstairs together. Mom ,Dad...I'm going to nap and take a shower. You both should do the same. Use the dryer because we both have to wear the same clothes. Remember to write to my brothers and be subtle about it. Okay miss worry head said her mother. Jane smiled at that and went upstairs to her room. She hurriedly took a shower and came downstairs. Seeing that her parents were done with their morning routine, they headed out of the space together. Looking at the empty house , the family of three left the house together.
