Anika was the first person in the group to break out and join the cesspool of swaying bodies on the dancefloor. She energetically came alive, yelling and laughing before she vanished from their eyes.
Neo sighed, massaging his temples, finding discomfort in the loudness and rowdiness.
He looked up, and his eyes caught Tyrese looking at him. Neo raised a questioning brow, wondering what the weird look on Tyrese's face meant.
"Uncle, can I…?" Tyrese called out softly, fiddling with his fingers on top of the table.
Neo now understood what Tyrese wanted. This nephew of his was really turning into something he couldn't understand.
Neo stared at Tyrese, then shook his head and dismissively said, "Do whatever you want to."
Tyrese didn't wait to hear anything more, he jumped out of his chair and left the table smiling. Neo sighed at Tyrese's behavior that was like a leashed dog who had finally gotten his freedom.
