The repetition did not stop in Neo's head. The words in his head and the chatter surrounding him collided. Tyrese continued to drag him forward, then forced their bodies into the elevator going down before the doors closed.
The people in the elevator continued to speak. And fortunately, the voice in his head seemed to be diminishing, the sound turning fainter by the seconds. With it, sense gradually returned to Neo.
Something huge had happened to him inside the great dungeon. But he still didn't know what. After he touched the core, everything had turned white and he felt like he had been blinded.
Still, him being able to return to Mars and live was proof that he had survived.
Neo looked all around him. He noticed that his body was pressed against many others. Though he wasn't the slightest bit comfortable, he also didn't feel like throwing up or fighting them off.
