Sairis's POV
Sairis exchanged a glance with Loreen, who arched a brow in question. He gave a small shake of his head. He did not know where they were going to either.
Loreen arched a brow at him, clearly expecting more than that.
Sairis rolled his eyes. "Why would you think I know what the king is planning before you do?" he muttered. "He is your father."
"I know that," Loreen replied. "But you two talk. He tells you things."
"He talks to you as well," Sairis retorted.
Loreen shrugged. "Not like he talks to you. There is a difference."
Sairis looked at him for a moment. Then he shook his head. "Believe it or not, Loreen, he did not say a word to me about this. I am just as lost as you are right now." He whispered.
Loreen held his gaze, studying his face as if checking whether he was being honest. Then he seemed to accept it and looked away. "Fine," he muttered.
