I want to start by saying thank you. From the very first scene in that dim inn to the last moment on that couch with two very chaotic little boys, thank you for staying. Thank you for reading. Thank you for every moment you spent in Eryndor with these characters.
Sairis was never supposed to be easy. He was stubborn and careful and slow to trust and quick to climb out of windows when the situation called for it, and I loved every difficult thing about him. Writing him was writing someone who had lost everything and chose, quietly and without fanfare, to keep going anyway. I hope you loved him the way I did.
Loreen was a man who did not know how to be halfway about anything. He loved loudly and worried constantly and spent a considerable amount of time being outsmarted by his own husband, and I think that is exactly what he deserved. He was better for loving Sairis. I hope that came through in every scene.
