Chapter 91 - Surprise Attack on a Snowy Night

Holt Dekes did not take the Black Rock Tribe seriously at all.

In his view, victory was only a matter of time.

However, he did not know that a large net, carefully woven by Wu Liang, had already been quietly cast.

That night, heavy snow fell, covering the world in white.

Inside the roland people's camp, the bonfires burned brightly, and the patrolling soldiers walked back and forth lazily, their necks tucked in.

In their opinion, in this kind of weather, those barbarians must be huddled and shivering inside their wooden houses and tents, making it impossible for them to come out.

Behind a snowy slope outside the camp, Wu Liang was lurking like a ghost with his newly formed Skiing Unit.

Everyone was wearing white camouflage suits, perfectly blending in with the snow.

Wu Liang used the telescope to carefully observe the enemy's camp layout and patrol routes.

His gaze was calm and sharp, like a Snow Wolf staring at its prey.

Ignis was lurking right beside him; her breathing was light, but her heart was pounding as if it would leap out of her chest.

This was the first battle she had participated in that was personally commanded by Wu Liang, and she was both nervous and excited.

"Don't be nervous."

Wu Liang seemed to sense her emotions and spoke in a low voice without turning his head,

"Remember what I taught you: stab in like a sharp knife!"

"But don't get drawn into a protracted fight. Take out their sentries and patrol teams as quickly as possible, and then retreat immediately."

"I'm not nervous, don't worry. I know what to do!"

Ignis retorted stubbornly.

Wu Liang said nothing more, simply refocusing his gaze on the distant camp.

He was waiting for the perfect moment.

When a patrol team reached the furthest and most secluded corner of the camp, Wu Liang's eyes narrowed slightly.

"Now!"

He gave the order to attack.

"Sa Lan, you take a squad and break through the left flank!"

"Ignis, you take a squad through the right flank!"

"Remember, swift victory is key!"

"Yes!"

Two low responses sounded.

The next second, dozens of white figures instantly erupted from the snowy slope, silently sliding toward the roland people's camp like arrows shot from a bow.

They moved extremely fast across the snow, making almost no sound, like a group of phantoms hunting in the snowy night.

Ignis rushed at the very front, her heart pounding wildly in her chest.

She tightly gripped the dagger in her hand, her sharp gaze locked onto the unsuspecting Roland Patrol Soldiers.

When the distance was close enough, Ignis could even clearly see the white mist exhaled from their faces due to the cold.

She took a deep breath, and the power within her began to surge.

"Kill!"

Ignis let out a low cry, leaping down from the snowy slope like a nimble female leopard.

The dagger in her hand flashed a cold light under the moonlight, instantly piercing the throat of a Roland Soldier.

Blood gushed out, staining the pure white snow red.

Up until the moment of death, the expression on that soldier's face remained one of shock; he had no idea what had happened.

"Enemy attack! Enemy attack!"

The sharp warning cries finally exploded in the silent snowy night.

But it was already too late.

The Skiing Unit led by Sa Lan and Ignis, like two sharp daggers, fiercely stabbed into the roland people's slack defenses.

Utilizing the super high mobility provided by their Skis, they quickly moved through the camp, their weapons mercilessly reaping the lives of the enemy.

The Roland Soldiers woke from their sleep and rushed out of their tents in disarray, many not even having time to put on their armor.

What they faced was a group of elusive white phantoms.

These enemies were incredibly fast, and their attacks were fierce and deadly.

They struck once and immediately retreated, giving the roland people no chance to rally and counterattack.

Ignis was caught up in the thrill of the kill; every time her dagger swung, a roland person fell.

This gave her a feeling of exhilaration she had never experienced before.

Her gaze searched the chaotic battlefield, subconsciously looking for Wu Liang's figure.

Soon, she saw him.

Wu Liang, riding a Warhorse and leading a team of cavalry who had been lying in ambush, their bits muffled and hooves wrapped, launched a frontal charge.

He charged ahead like a war hammer, smashing violently into the formation the roland people had just begun to assemble.

"What a lunatic!"

Ignis couldn't help but curse inwardly.

She saw the Warhorse beneath Wu Liang let out a neigh, its four hooves churning, carving a path through the snow.

The long saber in his hand swung like the wind, and wherever the blade light reached, men and horses tumbled.

The roland people's formation was forcefully torn open by his solitary charge.

He was fierce, dominant, and unstoppable!

Ignis's heart was violently struck.

Was this the man's true strength?

On the Training Ground, he was just toying with her; he hadn't been serious at all.

Only now, on the real battlefield, did he reveal that terrifying, heart-stopping power.

The humiliation she had felt from being easily subdued by him before quietly dissipated quite a bit now.

A powerful man held a fatal attraction for a woman who worshipped strength.

"Ignis! Watch out!"

Sa Lan's startled cry pulled her back from her daze.

A Cold Arrow shot out from nowhere, aimed directly at her face.

Ignis's pupils contracted, and she hurriedly dodged sideways.

But she was still too slow; the arrow grazed her cheek, leaving a stinging bloody mark.

She broke out in a cold sweat. Before she could react, three Roland Heavy Cavalry Knights had surrounded her in a triangular formation.

"Capture this savage woman! The General wants her alive!"

The leading knight shouted.

Ignis's heart sank.

She had been too engrossed in the fighting and had unknowingly strayed from the main force, falling into a heavy encirclement.

She tightened her grip on her dagger, preparing to fight to the death.

Just then, a rapid sound of hooves came closer from afar, like rolling thunder.

"Get lost!"

With a fierce roar, Wu Liang's figure charged over like a god descending to earth.

He didn't even use his saber, but instead directly charged his horse into one of the knights.

With a loud crash, the heavy cavalry knight, along with his horse, was sent flying, rolling several times on the snow and spitting blood.

The other two knights were greatly shocked.

Before they could react, Wu Liang had already leaped from his horse, spun in the air, and kicked both of their helmets with his feet.

*Crack!*

Broken necks!

The two elite Roland Knights screamed and died instantly.

The entire process happened in a flash of lightning.

Ignis stared blankly at Wu Liang, who had landed in front of her, momentarily forgetting where she was.

This man... saved her again.

Wu Liang glanced at the enemies stirring around them and let out a low shout.

"What are you waiting for? Get on the horse!"
