That evening, my curiosity crossed the line. I know Appraisal is not perfect yet but still, I have to try and learn stuff from my parents.
I looked at Mom, she was busy in the Kitchen chopping vegetables. It was evening. She has to prepare dinner. Father is out with his guarding duties as always.
I never used it on others. I wonder how this world. "Miss Appraisal?" I called out internally.
"Yes Master Rei" it called out. Damn, that robotic voice. I must change that someday or the other.
"Use Appraisal on the Individual I point to" I said pointing at mom.
"Confirmed. Casting Appraisal on Individual Firiell" the voice ran out.
Suddenly Mom squeaked. "Ack! What?" I heard her before she turned and looked at me pointing at her.
"Rei, Have you awakened your Appraisal now?" she asked approaching me.
"Yes Mom" I said curtly.
"Rei, listen to Mom, you mustn't use Appraisal on Others without permission...it's rude...to say the least" she said couching down to look at me.
"Okay..." I murmured.
"Hey! I don't my baby pouting on me, tell me what do you want for dinner?" she asked.
Pout? I never pouted. Did I? Well she is asking for dinner,
"Hmm....that grilled vegetable thing you made the other day" I said. She suddenly kissed me in the cheek and stood up.
"Consider it done!" she said and happily skipped to the Kitchen. I wonder what happened to Mom. Anyways, I got her status, so its all good.

Her status is also uneven like mine. She has lower speed but has extreme Stamina and Attack. Essentially, an Attacker, not a Fighter. Her Air Magic gets boosted by 50% too? That's like 1600 Attack.
She is extremely terrifying.
Just at Level 34? Dude come on. She might level up slowly, but each level up is powerful.
My Mom is incredible.
Later that night as me, Mom and Father sat for dinner,
"Garynnon! Guess what? Rei awakened the Appraisal skill!" she announced proudly.
Father froze.
Then he suddenly clapped.
"Hahaha, I have been waiting for this since your appraisal at age 3!" he said with pride ruffling my hair.
"Now, Rei, Appraise me!" he continued.
I sighed. He was way too enthusiastic about this. Still, I raised my hand pointing at him
"Yes, Father." I said.
"Appraisal." I murmured.
"—Ack!"
Just like Mother earlier, he also startled in surprise.

He was just as terrifying as Mom. Similar Speed, Slightly greater Attack and Defense but lower stamina. Essentially, both were equal in any terms of comparison.
I slowly lowered my hand.
"Father… you're just as strong as Mother," I said. "You're only one level higher than her, and your stats are almost equal. Your attack is higher, but her stamina is higher." I continued just as a sweat dropped from my neck.
"Tell me everything!" he said as he patted me in the back hard.
54 Defense is this weak huh. I ended up spending the next half an hour explaining his entire status over dinner.
Finally, he leaned back in his chair. It seemed my explanation was enough.
"Rei" he said ruffling my hair again, "You're amazing. With your talent, I know you'll grow stronger than either of us someday"
Oh please...I am mentally drained completely. I can't handle anything. "I am going to bed early" I said retreating to my room.
I saw outside my window. New Moon. Just darkness. The only light was the fire lamp in my room. But...
"Well… today was definitely a day to remember."
