Chapter 14 - Limits Redefined

The next few days followed a pattern.

School.

Training.

Silence.

The ground behind the school had become their place.

No one questioned it.

No one noticed.

Or at least, that's what they believed.

Ishaan stood alone in the center.

Kabir sat nearby, resting after another round of training, while Aisha observed quietly. Anaya stayed slightly behind, watching as always.

"Again," Aisha said.

Ishaan nodded.

He moved.

Fast.

But this time, it wasn't just speed.

He stopped near a large broken concrete block left from earlier training.

Without thinking much, he bent slightly and gripped it.

Then he lifted.

For a moment, even he didn't realize what he had done.

The block rose off the ground.

Heavy.

Solid.

Kabir's eyes widened.

"…Wait."

Ishaan looked down.

Then at his own hands.

"…This wasn't here before."

Aisha stepped closer, her expression sharpening.

"No."

A pause.

"You just lifted it."

Kabir stood up immediately.

"No way."

He walked closer, tapping the concrete.

"That thing was heavy."

Ishaan slowly set it down.

His mind racing.

"…I didn't even try that hard."

Aisha folded her arms.

"That confirms it."

Ishaan looked at her.

"Your power isn't just speed," she said. "Your entire physical capability has increased."

Kabir smirked.

"So basically, bro got the full package."

Aisha ignored him.

"Speed, strength, reaction time, durability," she continued. "Everything is enhanced."

Ishaan clenched his fist.

He could feel it now.

Not just movement.

Force.

Kabir grinned.

"Alright, then hit something."

Aisha sighed.

"Of course you'd say that."

But Ishaan didn't argue.

He stepped back.

Focused.

Then threw a punch.

The air cracked slightly.

His fist collided with the concrete block.

A sharp impact echoed.

The surface fractured.

Cracks spread outward from the point of contact.

Kabir blinked.

"…Okay."

Aisha narrowed her eyes slightly.

"Controlled."

Ishaan stared at the cracks.

Then slowly relaxed his hand.

"…This is new."

Anaya smiled faintly.

"You're getting stronger."

Ishaan didn't respond immediately.

Because now,

He understood something.

This power wasn't just about movement.

It was about pushing beyond what a normal body could do.

Not fully superhuman.

Not yet.

But no longer normal.

"Again," Aisha said.

And so—

They continued.

Day after day.

Mistakes.

Improvement.

Control.

Kabir's strikes became heavier, more precise.

Aisha began experimenting with her own reactions, though nothing had awakened yet.

Anaya observed, learning, waiting.

And Ishaan—

Ishaan kept growing.

Not just faster.

Stronger.

More controlled.

More dangerous.

A week passed.

Their movements became sharper.

Their reactions quicker.

Their coordination better.

Not perfect.

But no longer unstable.

That evening, as the sun dipped low and the sky turned orange, Ishaan returned to his classroom to pick up a notebook he had forgotten.

The building was almost empty.

Quiet.

He walked to his desk.

Reached inside.

Then paused.

Something was there.

A card.

Plain.

Black.

He picked it up slowly.

No name on the front.

He opened it.

A single line written inside.

"Come alone if you want answers."

Below it—

A location.

Ishaan's eyes narrowed.

He didn't need a name.

He already knew.

Reyansh.

For a moment, the room felt colder.

Ishaan closed the card.

His grip tightened slightly.

"…So it's starting again."

This time—

He wouldn't be unprepared.
