LATER THAT DAY AT THE TRAINING FIELD
ZAVIER
Ben stood in the middle of the field like a man who had discovered enlightenment, or crime, possibly both.
"I have perfected it." Ben said calmly.
"No." Leo said instantly from the ground.
"You didn't even look." Ben frowned.
"I don't need to." Leo replied. "That tone means disaster."
"I AGREE WITH LAZY GENIUS." Riko pointed at Leo.
"I reject this alliance." Leo said.
Adam crossed his arms.
"What did you do?" Adam asked.
"I improved trap deployment speed, range, and precision."Ben adjusted his glasses.
"You made it worse." I said.
"I made it better." Ben corrected.
Huan, unfortunately, was standing behind him, grinning.
"Show them." Huan said.
"WHY ARE YOU ENCOURAGING HIM?" Riko panicked.
"Growth." Huan replied.
"This is regression." Riko corrected.
Ben reached into his bag and pulled out something round. Metal, compact and suspicious.
"That's a bomb." Riko said.
"It is not a bomb." Ben replied.
