My jaw dropped in shock. I stared at Goddess Orisyl with wide eyes, my hands shaking inside the bright void.
"Y-You are still alive?!" I gasped out loud, my voice trembling. "But...but how?!How could anyone survive after having their divine core ripped out like that?!"
Orisyl offered a sad smile, floating a little bit closer to me in the glowing light.
"A normal god would have died permanently right on the spot, Amara," Orisyl explained in her gentle voice. "When Thalassa stole my core and left the dungeon, my soul was fading into absolute nothingness. But my dear brother, Zerephtyrael, had been secretly tracking Thalassa. He broke into the dungeon right after she left. When he saw my spirit turning into dust, he did something crazy."
"What did he do?" I asked, leaning forward eagerly.
