"This power!?" the girl said to herself.
"I guess he is starting to get serious. I can't fall behind."
"Light Element, Skill 3: Stunning Rays!" the girl yelled.
"So that's why she was so fast. She had already activated her life core. But how was she able to hide her power radiation before she reached B-rank?"
"Oh well, I will just ask her later, after I win this."
Light flashed around the arena after she finished saying the skill.
This skill was meant to temporarily blind the opponent to enable her to give a decisive blow.
While lights flashed everywhere, she could still see clearly.
She locked onto Eden's position and rushed toward him.
"Earth Element, Skill 2: Stone Fist!"
BOOM.
The fist hit the girl right in the abdomen, sending her flying.
Eden vanished from the spot and appeared right beside her.
"That speed… is he an A-rank?" the girl mumbled.
"Wind Element, Skill 3: Tornado!"
The wind sliced through her skin like paper. Now the roles had been reversed.
Eden, with his insane regenerating abilities, was perfectly fine apart from his torn clothes, but the girl was a bloody mess.
She struggled to her feet as she looked Eden dead in the eye.
"I knew I didn't misjudge you," she said and threw a suitcase at him, then left.
After she left, all the energy around Eden's body dissipated as he collapsed on the floor.
"It seems this power only activates when I need it the most, or when I am in danger. I have absolutely zero control over it."
"Huh," he sighed.
"I will unlock the secrets of this core, but till then…" Eden said, then opened the suitcase.
"I will admire this new suit."

The girl had just left the arena, but she was still thinking about the fight she and Eden just had.
When she felt the power emanating from him, she felt genuine fear at that moment.
She had always seen herself as a fearless person, but today she had a feeling she was going to die if she didn't end the fight.
"Don't let me see you again. Next time, you won't be let go that easily," she said through gritted teeth as she limped away.

Eden put on the suit and it fit like a glove, though the suit automatically slimmed down or fattened up to suit the body of the wearer.
"Well, I have gotten the suit. It is time to prepare for the trial," Eden said to himself.
When he got home, he busied himself searching online for anyone who had done the trial for Honors Academy and posted about their experience.
As it turned out, Eden was given a shocking surprise. There were people who had done the trial and posted it, but from what he noticed, the trial for Honors Academy changed every year.
So you would never be able to predict what you would get, but one thing they all had in common was that they tested you for your affinity.
Which meant every test you took would be to find out which element you had an affinity for.
There were nine elements, but time and space were very rare, so the academies rarely sent trial candidates through those trials.
So in a nutshell, Eden had to go through seven different trials and had to pass at least one of them.
On another day, that would have been easy, but with this new core, he had no idea where to start.
"This core only activates when I desperately need it, but it also gives out a Ninety energy output," Eden said.
"Huh," he sighed. "What do I do now?"
Eden was stuck with a problem he could not solve.
While he was sulking, he suddenly had a thought.
"Hey Helen, run a diagnostic on my body."
"Affirmative, running diagnostics now…"
Soon a holographic image was portrayed in front of him.
Name: Eden Brazer
Rank: F-rank
Energy Level: 0
Skill Set: F
Skills Learned: None
Eden looked at his stats and went into thought.
"He has a rank, which means he can get stronger. Then why is it that when he enters that mode, he suddenly has power that can rival an S-rank?"
Everything about his stats was normal apart from his energy level.
Having an energy level at zero practically meant you were dead.
Eden brought out a piece of paper and wrote down all the skills that he used in that mode.
"I will train these skills, and whichever one gives me a reaction, I will focus on that," Eden said.
Out of the Wind Element, Earth Element, and Fire Element,
He chose the Earth Element, as that was the only one he had used two different skills from:
Crushing Boulder and Stone Fist.

Early the next day, Eden left home and arrived at the D-3 district training ground.
He used to go there in his past life, but that was later, after he became a student.
At that time, he didn't have the money to come to this training ground until he was a student.
But now, since he didn't have to use his savings to buy a suit, he could easily afford to train there for three days.
He took a deep breath as he walked in.
"Welcome to the D-3 district training ground. How may I help you?" a beautiful young lady spoke in a melodic voice at the reception table.
"I would like to reserve a training area, please, and the guidance of Sir Stanley," Eden said.
"Oh, you need a trainer? Well, that would be one hundred Haven dollars for both," the receptionist said.
Eden took out all his savings and paid. After he paid, he was led to a small room by the receptionist.
"Wait here. He will be out soon," she said, then left.
After a while, Eden heard the sound of footsteps. He turned around and saw an old man standing behind him.
It was Stanley.
"So you are my disciple. Come, we have lots to do," Stanley said.
