The training field was loud again.
Students had gathered in a circle, watching a fight between two strong fighters.
One controlled earth, raising sharp rocks from the ground.
The other used wind, moving fast and striking from different angles.
Kai stood at the edge of the crowd, watching quietly.
Another fight, he thought.
"Come on!" someone shouted. "Finish him!"
The earth user slammed his hands down.
Spikes shot out of the ground toward his opponent.
The wind user barely dodged.
The fight was intense.
But then—
A third student suddenly jumped into the arena.
"Move!" he shouted.
Without warning, he attacked both fighters.
BOOM!
A shockwave pushed them back.
Students gasped.
"Hey! That's against the rules!"
But the new attacker didn't stop.
He looked around and smirked.
"Who else wants to fight?"
His eyes landed on Kai.
"The powerless guy…"
Kai sighed.
"Why is it always me?"
The student rushed toward him at full speed.
Kai didn't move.
At the last second—
He stepped to the side.
WHOOSH.
The attack missed.
The student turned quickly and threw another punch.
This time—
Kai blocked it.
The crowd went silent.
Kai's movements were different.
Sharp.
Precise.
Controlled.
The student attacked again, faster.
Kai dodged.
Then—
He struck back.
A clean karate chop to the arm.
CRACK.
The attacker stumbled back in pain.
Before he could react—
Kai moved again.
A fast kick to the leg.
Then a palm strike to the chest.
BAM!
The student fell to the ground.
Silence.
Everyone stared at Kai.
Even the two fighters from before were shocked.
Kai stood there calmly.
Then he scratched his head.
"Sorry… reflex."
Students began whispering.
"That wasn't a power…"
"That was pure skill…"
Kai quickly stepped back.
"I'm still powerless," he said casually.
But the way he just fought…
Said something very different.
For the first time—
Kai had fought back.
And people had seen it.
