Chapter 34: The Anatomy of a Demon
The screen didn't just flicker; it buckled. The "Hakai" blast had left the rooftop of Onigashima looking like a glass-blasted wasteland. The world watched in a silence so thick it felt like the air had been sucked out of every room from East Blue to the Grand Line.
Kaido and Big Mom stood amidst the steam, their shadows towering like gods of a dead world. But as the smoke cleared, the camera zoomed in on a single, scorched shoe digging into the cracked stone.
Sanji was standing. His black suit jacket was gone, turned to ash. His shirt was a tattered mess of white fabric clinging to a torso that looked like it had been carved from marble. But it was the sound that terrified the viewers—a rhythmic, heavy THANG... THANG... THANG... echoing from his chest, like a blacksmith hitting an anvil.
The Global Chat: A World in Terror
> [Sengoku]: "SQUEAK! (HE'S STANDING?! No human body survives the thermal energy of a combined Yonko strike! Garp! Look at the boy's posture! He isn't just surviving; he's adapting! SQUEAK!)"
> [Akainu]: "The laws of nature are being insulted. A cook? Deflecting the Yankos of the sea? If these rookies are this resilient, the Navy's 'Absolute Justice' is looking like a joke."
> [Eustass Kid]: "HEY! Look at my future self! I'm actually using my scrap-metal to shield the others while the cook takes the brunt! Why is he the only one who looks like he's having an existential crisis instead of dying?!"
> [Killer]: "Fafa! Look at his eyes. Those aren't the eyes of a man who's afraid of the Yonko. He's afraid of himself."
> [Buggy the Clown]: "HONK! HE'S TURNING INTO A ROBOT! I KNEW IT! First he's a cook, then he's a Vinsmoke, now he's a toaster! I'm going deeper into Level 6! Nobody find me! HONK!"

The Scene: The Shattering Identity
On the screen, Sanji gripped his head, his fingers digging into his blonde hair. He didn't look at Kaido. He looked at his own arm. A stray piece of rubble, the size of a cannonball, fell from the ceiling and struck his shoulder.
Clang.
The stone shattered into dust. Sanji didn't even flinch. His skin didn't bruise. It hummed.
"No... not this..." Sanji whispered, his voice cracking with a metallic resonance. "I'm not one of them. I'm a cook. I'm a human. Zeff... I'm still a human, right?"
Kaido let out a low, rumbling growl. "You're talking to yourself while facing a Dragon, brat? You've got guts. Let's see if your head is as hard as your legs!"
Kaido lunged. The club Hassaikai moved faster than the eye could follow, coated in Advanced Conqueror's Haki. Sanji didn't have time to think. Instinct took over. He didn't lift his hands. He spun, his left leg igniting with a fire so white-hot it turned the falling rain into instant steam.
BOOM!
The collision sent a shockwave that actually pushed the floating island of Onigashima a few meters to the side. The world watched as Sanji's leg met Kaido's club. The stone beneath Sanji's feet disintegrated, but he didn't move.
The Global Chat: The Vinsmoke Reaction
> [Vinsmoke Judge]: "IMPOSSIBLE! THE EXOSKELETON IS TRIGGERING WITHOUT THE SUIT?! This defies every blueprint I ever drew! The Raid Suit was supposed to be the catalyst... but he's doing it through sheer physical trauma! Number 4... you are a monster of my own making, but I didn't give you that much power!"
> [Reiju Vinsmoke]: "You didn't give him anything, Father. He earned it by trying to stay human in a world of monsters. Look at his heart rate... he's pushing the science further than you ever dreamed."
> [Rocks D. Xebec]: "♪ THE BONES ARE SHIFTING~ THE IRON GROWS~ THE SECRET THAT THE COOKIE KNOWS~ BUT THE DRAGON IS ANGRY~ THE MAMA IS BORED~ SHE'S PULLING OUT HER BIGGEST SWORD! ♪"

The Final Strike of the Chapter
Big Mom, annoyed that the "Little Vinsmoke" was still drawing breath, raised Napoleon high. The blade grew to the size of a skyscraper, wreathed in the souls of a thousand lightning bolts.
"ENOUGH! PROMETHEUS! HERA! GIVE ME EVERYTHING! MAMAMAMA!"
She brought the sword down directly on top of Sanji and the still-recovering Luffy. Sanji looked up, his one visible eye glowing with a cold, blue intensity. He didn't run. He stood over his Captain like a shield.
"I don't care if I become a monster," Sanji growled, his voice finally stabilizing into a lethal, calm tone. "As long as I can still hold a frying pan... I'll kick you all the way back to the start of the Grand Line!"
The screen went white as the soul-fire consumed the frame.
