It's been 15 years since school! I wonder how you look these days. Maybe your nose is a little bigger now, or you've ended up with cat-like eyes.Being apart from you has made me realize that no matter how different we are, the truth is... I like you . I keep meeting up with all our other friends from school, but you've just disappeared. You're not on social media, and you don't even live where you used to anymore. I have no clue where you are.
I tried so hard to find you, but maybe it just wasn't written in our destiny. Still, if God gives me another chance, I would definitely love to be your friend again. But now, I won't fight with you anymore, and I will never misunderstand you again.
Just as she finished writing all of this, Pranavi's phone suddenly started ringing.
From other side of phone a lady shouting -"I've been waiting at the airport for two whole hours with no sign of you. If you aren't here in 10 minutes, I'm leaving for Asansol without you".
After that, Pranavi said, 'Okay sanaya, I'm coming right now! You know I'm a bit of a late riser.
Sanaya - I've known you since we were kids. "You were writing about Shivam in your diary, weren't you?"
How many times have I told you to focus on your own life? Stop looking for him. It's been 17 years; who knows if he's already married by now or not.
Pranavi - I know, replied with a heavy heart.
Okay, let me go and get dressed. We're still hitting that reunion party together, right?
Sanaya -ok I'm waiting.
Then they headed off to their hometown.
In Asansol,
(In hotel room)
Sanaya- You are only 10 minutes away from your house, but you aren't going home. Please, just go home now.
Pranvi-i'm not a stubborn kid. I'm staying out because of my dad's conservative outlook."
In flashback, when pranvi just qualify her tewlth with Average mark.
Milind - Even if you messed up your exams, you still have to become an advocate.Since my forefathers' time, it has been a family legacy that everyone must become a lawyer.
Pranvi -But I'm interested in IT (said Hesitantly) .
Milind -(in angry voice). Your 12th-grade marks weren't even good. If you're even thinking about going into IT, mark my words—you'll end up doing nothing but running arounds at some company. If you become an advocate, you'll have both a name and status. And anyway, are your dreams more important to you than our legacy?
You've already wasted a year preparing for Medical. You don't know the first thing about skills, yet here you are thinking about getting into IT.
Pranvi -(with tears in her eye)
I know my decision to take the Medical Entrance was a mistake, but I am not making a mistake this time. I have finally realized where my true interest lies.
Milind -You don't know anything. Today you say you want to study this, tomorrow you'll say you want to study something else. If you don't want to study at all, then just tell us—when do you want to get married? You are a total failure.
Look at your brother. He's only 25, yet he's already established himself as a famous criminal lawyer in the city. Learn something from him!.
Pranvi -This is exactly why I've always been under pressure—because you constantly compare me to my brother, saying how much he studies while I don't.You are clearly being partial towards him and unfair to me.
Milind- Fine, if you want to live like the spoiled brat of a rich dad, then say so.
Tell me, where do you want to study? I will pay your fees and send you to a hostel after that.
Pranvi felt deeply hurt by this, and she made up her mind that she would pay her own fees and would no longer stay in that house.
After thinking it through, pranvi said, 'I don't want your money, and you don't need to pay my hostel fees either. '
"After saying this, Pranvi walked away to her room in a fit of rage."
Milind slowly began to calm down. He thought to himself, 'She's just a child; once her anger cools down, she'll come back downstairs.
But here,Pranvi had something mischievous brewing in her mind.
Meanwhile, Pranvi put on some clothes, packed all her bank cards and some jewelry into her bag, and then jumped out of the window to head somewhere.
Even though Nikhil(pranvi's brother)saw her, he supported Pranvi so that she could move forward and pursue her dreams.
After leaving home, Pranvi went to her aunt's (Bua's) house for a few days. After that, she settled into a hostel. Whenever she needed financial help, Nikhil would support her.
Meanwhile, Milind was consumed by a mix of grief and rage after his only daughter ran away like this. In his anger, he declared that there is no place for Pranvi in this house anymore and she shall never return.
As she heard this, tears welled up in Pranvi's eyes. Wiping them away, she said, 'Fine, listen... I have made a mistake. If Papa see me as successful data analyst in popular company,He will definitely accept me again.
Sanaya - But now you are successful, aren't you? You have a job, you're stable, and you're independent. Go and apologize to your father now.
"But I don't know anything about his mood right now. First, I'll meet Nikhil, and only after that will I decide whether to meet Papa " Said pranvi.
"But before all that, we have to go to the reunion party tonight. Do you even remember or not?"
Sanaya -Your life is a total drama! Sometimes you realize your love but in wrong time, sometimes you don't get your dad... Bro, just handle yourself.
Pranvi - Yeah, right! That's exactly why I'm so 'jealous' of your life.(in sarcastic way).
In reunion party....
Pranvi looked breathtaking. Dressed in a stunning black gown, she was the epitome of grace. With her soft cheeks and deep dimples, anyone could fall in love with her at first sight.
But things have changed drastically here. The small school buildings from years ago have now turned into massive structures equipped with modern facilities. Even the lives of all her friends have completely transformed—some have gotten married, and a few have even brought their children along to the party.
But one thing hadn't changed at all - their friendship.
Pranvi meets everyone warmly and asks about their lives, but deep down, something is still weighing on his mind.
In his heart, he is searching for someone.
Now she meets Ashu and asks him about Shivam.
Pranvi -where is he?
Ashu - seems he couldn't make it to the party. I don't know where he is now.
I gave the reunion invitation at his old house just like you asked, but I don't think he'll be able to make it here. Said Ashu (close friend of shivam).
After hearing this, Pranvi gets a bit sad and she...is going towards parking zone.
In parking area, pranavi was walking alone feeling angry and a bit sad. She felt as though she was once again a victim of her own fate.
At that very moment, the car keys slip from her hand and disappear somewhere into a compartment.
She desperately tried to search for the keys in the dark, but suddenly, she heard the sound of footsteps approaching.
Desperation took over as she searched, her eyes stinging with frustrated tears. Just as she was about to give up, a crisp, steady clicking of shoes echoed through the quiet air. It wasn't the sound of a threat, but someone walking with purpose. The footsteps stopped right behind her, and the air suddenly filled with a faint, familiar scent of expensive cologne, making her heart race for an entirely different reason.
The footsteps stop right behind her. She freezes, her hand still shoved into the dark gap of the car's center console.
Pranavi feels something in her heart. Everything just stopped at that moment. Pranavi trying to figure out the man's shoes.... It disappeared suddenly.
Stranger: "Lost something? Or are you just practicing your hide-and-seek skills in a dark parking lot?"
Pranavi: (Turning around, startled) "I-my keys. They fell. Somewhere in here."
Stranger: (Leaning in, his voice dropping an octave) "You look like you've had a long day. Move over. Let me help before you break a nail or your spirit."She hesitated for a second, then finally shifted over, giving him just enough space to reach into the narrow gap. The air between them felt suddenly electric, charged with the tension of her long, bad day.
She hesitated for a second, then finally shifted over, giving him just enough space to reach into the narrow gap. The air between them felt suddenly electric, charged with the tension of her long, bad day.
Stranger: "Hold this," he murmured, handing her his phone with the flashlight on.
As he reached deep into the dark crevice near the gear shift, his fingers brushed against hers. The contact was brief, but it felt like a jolt of electricity. She gasped softly, pulling her hand back, but the space was so tight that their skin grazed again.
Her: (Breathless) "Did... did you find them?"
Stranger: (His voice dropped to a low, rough whisper as he finally hooked his finger through the metal ring.) "I've got them. But you're trembling. Is it the cold, or are you always this nervous when someone tries to help you?"
He pulled his hand out, the silver keys glinting in the light. Instead of just handing them over, he held them just out of reach, forcing her to look him in the eye.
Suddenly, the phone slips from her trembling hand and hits the floor. The flashlight beams upward, illuminating both of their faces with a sharp, clear glow. In that startling flash of light, the shadows disappear, and they finally recognize each other.
The man standing before her isn't a stranger-he is her school love, the one person she had been searching for all these years. Time seems to stop as their eyes meet, the years of separation vanishing in a single heartbeat.
But instead of relief, a wave of pure, paralyzing shock crashed over her. Her heart hammered against her ribs, and her mind went completely blank. Before he could even utter her name, she stumbled back. Without a word, she turned and bolted, her footsteps echoing frantically through the concrete garage as she tried to outrun the ghost of her past.
Pranavi's footsteps faded into the distance, leaving behind a heavy, suffocating silence. He (shivam)stood there, frozen, his heart still racing from the shock of seeing her face after all these years. The cold concrete of the parking lot felt like ice beneath his boots.
He slowly reached down and picked up his phone. The light flickered, illuminating the silver car keys still lying on the ground-the ones she had dropped. He picked them up, the metal cold against his palm. He looked toward the exit where she had disappeared, a mix of pain and longing in his eyes. He didn't chase her. He just stood there, clutching her keys, knowing that while she was gone for now, he finally knew exactly where to find her.
