Chapter 130 - Toji Thrashes Haruta

Shibuya, on the rooftop of a skyscraper hundreds of meters high.

The night wind whistled loudly.

Yamada stood at the edge of the rooftop, his deep Rinnegan looking down at the city shrouded by the black Curtain.

Yuji's highly piercing shout fell clearly into his ears.

"Tricked into a cube by a corpse. This so-called strongest Jujutsu Sorcerer has quite poor vigilance."

Toji wound the Chain of a Thousand Miles around his sturdy forearm, loop by loop. He cracked his thick neck, his lips curling into a wild, cold smile.

"It's called the inertia of fate."

Yamada had his hands in his trench coat pockets, his gaze indifferent.

"Although Satoru's strength is at the peak, he still retains that human weakness in his bones. As long as there's a weakness, he can be schemed against. Kenjaku, who has lived for a thousand years, is best at exploiting human flaws."

He turned his head to look at the fully armed Toji. "Next, the people from Jujutsu High will charge toward the B5 floor like madmen to seize the gokumonkyo. And the Curse Users Kenjaku arranged on the outskirts of Shibuya will surely take the opportunity to intercept them."

Yamada raised his hand, pointing in several directions on the streets of Shibuya.

In the vision of the Rinnegan, the auras of those Curse Users hidden in dark alleys and buildings were as clear as candlelight in the night.

"Toji."

"Here." Toji gripped the Inverted Spear of Heaven, eager to go.

"I don't care about the life or death of Jujutsu High, but I don't like small fry jumping around in my hunting ground. Go clear out those intercepting Curse Users on the perimeter."

"Pay special attention to a man with a golden ponytail holding a short sword with a hand-shaped handle. That guy's Cursed Technique stores small daily miracles to take damage on his behalf at critical moments."

Yamada's voice turned cold. "He enjoys bullying the weak, slaughtering defenseless Assistant Supervisors and female sorcerers. Find him, strip him of all his 'miracles,' and then give him the ugliest death possible."

Hearing this description, a cruel, bloodthirsty glint flashed in Toji's eyes.

As a former assassin in the black market, though he would do anything for money, he had always utterly despised cowardly perverts who specifically targeted soft targets.

"Storing miracles? Interesting."

Toji touched the scar at the corner of his mouth.

"Then let's see if his luck is enough for me to kill him ten times."

Before his voice finished echoing, Toji leaned forward. He leapt from the rooftop hundreds of meters high. Amidst the whistling wind, his figure quickly vanished into the Shibuya night.

Watching Toji leave, Yamada turned his gaze back toward the underground entrance of Shibuya Station.

"I'll leave the cannon fodder to you. As for those big fish down there..."

The six tomoe in Yamada's eyes slowly rotated, a faint purple glow flickering in the dark night.

"I'll go meet them personally."

...

Shibuya, inside a dark alley in Dogenzaka.

Several Assistant Supervisors from Jujutsu High, responsible for evacuating civilians and establishing communication base stations, lay in pools of blood.

A young man with a golden ponytail, was humming an out-of-tune melody while holding a strangely shaped short sword with a hand carved into the hilt.

Shigemo Haruta.

He stepped on the back of an Assistant Supervisor who still had a breath left, the sword tip gesturing at the other party's nape.

"Oh my, how boring. Why do I only encounter trash like you who can't even fight back? Though, listening to the miserable screams you make before dying is indeed a physically and mentally pleasing thing."

Haruta let out a shrill laugh and raised his sword high, preparing to end the life of the Assistant Supervisor beneath his foot.

"Your laughter is truly disgusting enough to make one vomit."

A low, raspy voice filled with endless violence suddenly sounded at the entrance of the alley.

Haruta's smile froze as he whipped his head around.

By the dim streetlight, he saw an extremely burly man. The man wore a tight black short-sleeved shirt, his thick muscles bulging against the fabric, with a foul-smelling Cursed Spirit wound around his neck.

What he found most unbelievable was that he couldn't feel even a trace of Cursed Energy flow from this man.

"An ordinary person?"

Haruta tilted his head, then sneered, "It's currently time for me to handle business. Lost monkeys should just scurry back home... Ah!"

He hadn't even finished his sentence when the man in front of him suddenly disappeared.

Haruta couldn't even see the opponent's movement. His vision went dark, and a terrifyingly sharp pain, as if he'd been hit by a high-speed train, erupted from his chest.

Crack!

Accompanied by the crisp sound of several ribs breaking, he was sent flying straight through the red brick walls on both sides of the alley, crashing into an abandoned shop nearby.

Dust filled the air.

Toji stood where Haruta had just been, shaking his fist, his gaze as cold as if he were looking at a pile of trash.

"With this kind of reaction speed, you dare come out and play at blocking the road?"

Amidst the ruins, Haruta struggled to crawl up. In his eyes, one of the six black stripes quietly vanished. That was his stored "Miracle" activating, taking the fatal blow for him.

He, who should have had his heart pierced by internal organ fragments, miraculously recovered from his injuries at this moment.

"You bastard... you dare ambush me!"

Haruta's face twisted as he gripped his short sword, fuming with rage. "I was just careless! I'm going to shave the meat off you piece by piece!"

His figure blurred as he tried to use his nimble movements to circle behind Toji.

The sword hilt seemed to come alive, gripping his wrist and guiding the short sword to stab toward Toji's heart from behind.

"Too slow."

Toji didn't even turn his head. He reached back with his left arm, striking second but arriving first, firmly pinning Haruta's wrist that held the sword.

"Caught you, golden-haired trash."

Toji turned his head, looking at Haruta's face which was deformed by shock, his lips splitting into a cruel arc.

He suddenly exerted force with his right hand.

Snap!

Haruta's wrist was snapped to a ninety-degree angle, and the short sword fell to the ground with a clang.

"Aaaah, my hand!"

A shrill scream rang through the night sky.

Toji gave him no chance to breathe. He kicked Haruta's knee, forcing him to kneel, then grabbed his ponytail and slammed his head into a nearby concrete utility pole.

Bang!

Blood splattered.

The second black stripe in Haruta's eye vanished.

A "Miracle" saved his life again, preventing his skull from shattering on the spot.

"Oh? Just as the boss said, it can take fatal damage for you."

Watching Haruta's rapidly healing wound, the violence in Toji's eyes did not decrease, but instead grew more intense.

He lifted Haruta into the air. "One life isn't enough to kill you, is it?"

From the mouth of the Inventory Cursed Spirit, Toji slowly drew out that Special Grade Cursed Tool capable of nullifying all Cursed Techniques—Inverted Spear of Heaven.

"Then let's see if your luck can block this blade."
