"I... yes?" Nyx looked uncertain. "Roshan mentioned that humor helps ease tension. Was that incorrect?"
"It was TERRIBLE!" Another burst of laughter. "HAha, so bad, oh my god!"
"I see."
"But also, hehe, kind of adorable?"
Nyx's expression did something between relief and confusion. "Adorable is... good?"
"In this context?" Faelyn wiped her eyes, still grinning. "Yes. Very good."
His shoulders relaxed slightly. "Then I consider it a success."
"Your delivery needs work though. Like... a LOT of work."
"Noted."
The absurdity of it all sent Faelyn into another fit of giggles. Critiquing the deadly panther chief's comedic timing while he sat there eating berries he clearly didn't want.
"Hehe, sorry, I just, the way you said 'who should know things.'"

"There she is," Nyx said quietly, and this time his small smile was genuine. Soft. Relieved.
