Chapter 131 - Chapter 128: The Divergent Thread - Alliance of the Damned

The cold, metallic stench of the Waste-Disposal Subsector 9 was thick enough to choke a normal man. Yuan moved through the shadows, his newly forged Rank 1: World Breaker skeleton absorbing the rhythmic vibrations of the massive hydraulic presses. He was heading for the "Vertical Artery," a direct, high-pressure shaft that led to the planetary core's cooling vents.

He stopped. His Causality Sight didn't just see a person; it saw a flickering, silver-grey glitch in the fabric of the room. A girl, no older than sixteen, was crouched over a terminal, her fingers moving with a speed that defied human biology.

"The encryption is too high, Aegis-0... give me a back door," she whispered, her voice trembling with a mixture of defiance and desperation.

"You're using the wrong frequency, Mira," Yuan's voice echoed from the darkness, calm and chilling.

The girl spun around, a blade made of Compressed Vacuum appearing in her hand—the signature of a Rank 2: Space-Time Weaver in its embryonic stage. "Who are you? A servant? No... your eyes... they aren't empty."

Yuan stepped into the faint glow of the terminal. He looked like a child, but the air around him was heavy, the atmospheric pressure increasing with every step he took. "I am a ghost from a past you don't remember. And you are the 'Rebel' the stars promised. But currently, you're just a girl about to be vaporized by the Lia-Vance security grid."

Mira lowered her blade slightly, her "Void-Walker" instincts screaming that the boy in front of her was more dangerous than the entire High Council. "You know my name. You know about the grid. Are you... one of the Resistance?"

"I am my own resistance," Yuan replied, his grey eyes flashing with a predatory indigo light. "You want to topple the Council. I want the Star-Core fragment inside Aegis-0. Our paths are currently parallel. Help me reach the Core, and I will rewrite the security protocols so your 'Revolution' doesn't end in a mass execution."

Mira hesitated, then nodded. She didn't trust him, but she felt the "Pull of Fate" between them. "I have a phase-shift module, but I can't get past the Gravity-Sentinels in the Artery. They respond to mass, not light."

"I am a World Breaker," Yuan said, his small fist clenching as a shockwave of raw force rippled through his silver-alloyed bones. "I don't need to hide from gravity. I will crush it. Just keep the digital eyes off us, Weaver."

Together, the Fallen Sovereign and the Daughter of Fate stepped into the abyss of the Vertical Artery, descending toward the heart of a world that had forgotten its true master.
