Chapter 99 - Chapter 99: Snatched From the Jaws of a God?

Harry roared, swinging his pink baseball bat with everything he had!

Bang, bang, bang…

The bat smashed a path through the swarming cats.

Seizing the chance, Harry charged towards the golden coffin. He had no idea what it was, but the cats clearly valued it.

"Take this!"

Harry kicked the golden coffin over with all his might.

"What the hell… Holy crap!"

A bewildered Malfoy suddenly found himself lifted into the air. The coffin lid flew open, and he toppled out, suspended in mid-air.

"Malfoy?!"

Harry stared in astonishment at Malfoy, who was bound and gagged.

Thump!

Malfoy crashed to the ground, writhing like a silkworm. He gritted his teeth and howled, "My back... it's broken... waaaaah..."

Harry rushed to Malfoy's side. "I didn't realize you were in there... are you alright?"

On his way, the reddish-brown cat that had just gotten up was kicked aside by Harry. "Meow~!"

Harry helped the nearly unconscious Malfoy to his feet. "Hey! Malfoy, wake up! Are you alright? Look at this..."

In his dazed state, Malfoy vaguely heard someone calling him. As he cracked open his eyes, Harry's blurry figure swam into view, faintly overlapping with another figure he had been longing for.

"I missed you so much."

"..."

A chill ran down Harry's spine, and he accidentally released Malfoy, who promptly face-planted.

The fall snapped Malfoy back to reality. "Ouch... Hey, Scarface, when did you get here? Never mind, get me untied!"

Realizing his mistake, Harry quickly untied Malfoy.

Malfoy stood up, stretching his stiff limbs. He then noticed Harry's pink mini-skirt. "Pfft... Scarface, what's with that outfit?"

But to his surprise, Harry simply said calmly, "Take out the Combat Transformation Case Tom gave you."

Somewhat puzzled, Malfoy retrieved the Combat Transformation Case.

"Now shout 'Demacia!'"

"Demacia!"

A flash of blue and white light erupted.

"Now you're just like me."

"..."

Malfoy stared silently at his own blue mini-skirt. He realized Harry had tricked him.

Wait... this came from Tom, meaning the real trickster is... Damn it! I should have known no good would come of this.

Since he was already here, he might as well put aside his embarrassment and truly experience the power of this hammer!

Malfoy's lips curled in a slight smile. His right hand made a grasping motion, and a large blue iron hammer appeared out of thin air.

Seeing this, Harry immediately understood Malfoy's intention and summoned his pink baseball bat.

"You stinky cat, die!"

"Dare to touch me? Take this hammer from your Malfoy master!"

The two boys in short skirts became like ferocious prehistoric beasts, their strength and power routing the cat pack.

...

Tom, who had been observing, focused his gaze on a mirror flashing white light in the distance. "..."

What's with this damn mirror flashing? It's almost rhythmic.

Tom felt a flicker of smugness at discerning the pattern.

Something's wrong. I feel like something bad is about to happen!

Because of this ominous feeling, Tom immediately drew his Elder Wand. "Blasting Charm!"

A yellowish-white light burst from the Elder Wand, striking the mirror mid-air.

Fragments of void appeared along the path of the light, but just as it was about to hit the mirror, the mirror erupted with a dazzling white light!

The light and the fragmented void were easily blocked by the white light.

"Hehehe... you're all doomed! The great Bastet is about to descend!"

The reddish-brown cat knelt on the ground like a charlatan, shouting wildly before Harry's bat struck its head, knocking it unconscious.

"..."

Watching the cat-headed deity emerge from the white light, Tom felt something was amiss. Logically, the real Bastet shouldn't be here.

He then noticed that this "Bastet's" eyes were empty and lifeless.

Combined with its illusory body, Tom guessed it was an avatar, likely without consciousness, acting only according to some command.

As for that command... it was probably the curse on Malfoy.

Sure enough, the "Bastet" in mid-air swept past everyone, fixing its gaze on Malfoy, who was wearing a little blue dress.

"No way? It's me again!"

Malfoy was speechless. Why am I always the unlucky one?!

Then he heard "Bastet's" cold, emotionless voice, "Akhenaten, the sinful life that offended the gods, will slumber here forever."

"Are you kidding me? I'm Draco Malfoy, a pure-blooded English wizard; I have absolutely nothing to do with you Egyptians!"

Malfoy tried to reason with "Bastet." "Besides, that Akhenaten has been dead for thousands of years. Aren't you a bit late to kill him?"

But the "Bastet" before him was merely an avatar, devoid of consciousness. It only knew that Akhenaten was the one cursed. "Foolish mortal, it's too late for regrets; prepare to die!"

"Seriously, lady? Don't you understand English?!"

Malfoy was speechless. Logically, this shouldn't be the case. I don't know what "Bastet" is saying, but I understand it. So, "Bastet" should be able to understand me too.

No matter how puzzled he was, it was useless. "Bastet" clearly had no intention of wasting words.

"Bastet" raised its right hand, and a gray-black spear appeared out of thin air.

With the appearance of the spear, the surrounding space distorted, and terrifying divine power stole all color from the surroundings, plunging the entire space into a gray, deathly silence!

Malfoy felt locked onto by some terrifying force. He wanted to escape, to fight back… but he couldn't move an inch, forced to watch "Bastet" prepare to throw the spear and kill him.

"Hey, are you kidding me? You're going to kill my man right in front of me? You really don't respect me at all."

A familiar voice rang in his ears, and Malfoy, who had been in despair, once again felt an unattainable sense of security.

Tom appeared before him, his tall figure incredibly imposing.
