Chapter 116 - Chapter 116: The "Dark Lord" Returns?

Under Tom's smooth manipulation, Bellatrix and Barty swallowed the story that they needed to resurrect a "fake Dark Lord" whole.

Oh? Could it be that this "fake" is the real one?

Impossible! Utterly impossible! Tom, using the Pensieve from the Ministry of Magic, had extracted the memories of an Auror, showing them the scene of Tom thoroughly trouncing the Voldemort (remnant soul)! Clearly, that terrifyingly powerful figure was the true Dark Lord!

The Dark Lord was absolutely invincible! At least, that's what fanatical believers like Bellatrix and Barty thought.

"Hehehe... Master, rest assured, I will complete the task you have given me. First, I'll resurrect that fake, then I will make certain that fake dies a horrible death!"

In a hidden room in the Ministry of Magic, Barty knelt before Tom, declaring his eager intention to obliterate the Voldemort (remnant soul).

Bellatrix, kneeling beside Barty, muttered under her breath, "How dare he impersonate him... Damn him... I'll torture him horribly..." and so on.

"That bald one has skill; I plan to deal with him myself."

Hearing Barty's words, Tom shook his head slightly. "You simply need to resurrect him, then infiltrate his circle and await my command at the crucial moment."

Bellatrix and Barty both nodded quickly in agreement. They weren't surprised by Tom's order, assuming it was because their master "despised the imposter and wished to finish him off personally."

After reminding the two to practice Occlumency, Tom prepared to return to Hogwarts with Nagini.

Before Tom could even leave the room, Bellatrix seemed to remember something. "By the way, Master, should I take care of Harry Potter? After all, he... offended you."

"Oh, that?"

Tom turned, looking at Bellatrix and Barty calmly. "No need. He is your colleague now."

"Huh?"

Bellatrix and Barty looked up at Tom, shocked.

"I mean, he is a Death Eater now."

Tom looked at them disdainfully. Were they really this dense? Couldn't they understand?

Hearing this, the two belatedly nodded repeatedly, exclaiming things like, "As expected of Master!" and "Master is the best!"

Tom, too lazy to listen to their flattery, told them to go and prepare their "Voldemort Resurrection Plan," and then left the Ministry of Magic with Nagini.

...

By the time Tom and Nagini returned to Hogwarts, it was already afternoon.

At that moment, Malfoy and his cronies were attending a lesson on the Care of Magical Creatures taught by their new teacher, Hagrid.

With nothing else to do, Tom and Nagini decided to become teaching assistants for the class.

They found them outside the Forbidden Forest, in front of Hagrid's cabin.

"Come closer, everyone. Please don't talk. This lesson is going to be very interesting."

Perhaps because it was his first lesson, Hagrid seemed very excited. "Follow me."

With that, Hagrid walked towards the entrance of the Forbidden Forest.

The young wizards followed closely behind.

From the moment Tom and the others arrived until now, Hagrid hadn't said much to Tom. Perhaps it was because he had recently learned that his previous expulsion from school was because of Tom, or perhaps it was for some other reason. Even though Hagrid didn't particularly dislike Tom anymore, being around him still made him feel awkward.

Some of the younger wizards noticed this, like Malfoy.

Malfoy quietly approached Tom. "Sir, that big oaf dares to ignore you! Should I go and teach him a lesson?"

Hearing this, Tom shook his head slightly. "No need."

Although Hagrid's relationship with him was rather cold, he hadn't actively provoked him, so he couldn't be bothered with him, preferring to enjoy the peace and quiet.

...

It was a hot afternoon, but the Forbidden Forest felt exceptionally cool. The lush foliage blocked the afternoon sun, creating a tranquil atmosphere that was even more comfortable. The fresh air and melodious birdsong seemed to effortlessly dispel any restlessness in one's heart. This was why, even with a change in professors, so many people still chose the subject of the Care of Magical Creatures.

Led by Hagrid, the group arrived at the edge of the Forbidden Forest.

"Stand over there, don't talk, turn to page 49 of your textbooks."

Hagrid said as he walked in another direction.

"How do you open this lousy book?"

Malfoy looked at the still-troublesome The Monster Book of Monsters in his hands with a frustrated expression.

"You stroke the spine first, of course."

Hagrid said matter-of-factly, "Oh, Merlin's beard, huh? You lot didn't know that before? How did you open it before?"

"Is that so? I always thought you had to beat it to read the book."

Recalling his one-on-one battle with this book, Ron felt a little annoyed. Who wrote this lousy book? There wasn't even an instruction manual!

Hearing this, Hagrid silently turned and left.

Tom, on the other hand, walked over to Ron with a hint of satisfaction and patted him on the shoulder. He admired this kind of interesting young man.

"By the way, Professor Tom, Scabbers seems a bit off lately."

Ron seemed to remember something. "I don't know why, but Scabbers keeps trying to escape his cage. He never used to do this."

He didn't know that the reason was that this cunning rat had overheard their dormitory discussion about Sirius's escape. But it didn't matter whether he knew or not, since he couldn't escape anyway.

"Sigh, he's just bored. Just give him a couple more female mice… Oh, and a few male mice too."

Tom looked completely unconcerned; this was all expected. However, such energy wasn't good.

"Also, the aphrodisiac might not be working very well. I'll make you a stronger version later. Don't worry about it affecting Scabbers's health; I checked, he can handle it perfectly."

Tom didn't believe that after such a drastic increase in dosage, Peter Pettigrew would still have any thoughts other than mating.

"Thanks, Professor Tom, you're so kind."

"It's nothing, it's all I should do."

As the two were talking, Hagrid led over a hippogriff.

"How is it? Isn't it beautiful?"

Hagrid tossed a piece of meat to the hippogriff as he spoke, "Come say hello to Buckbeak."

"Wow, Hagrid… Professor, what kind of creature is that?"

A young Hufflepuff wizard stared at Buckbeak with wide eyes.

"Buckbeak is a fully grown hippogriff."

Hagrid glanced gently at Buckbeak, then turned to the students. "First of all, you should know that they are very proud and easily offended, so never be rude to them, or you're dead."
