Chapter 74 - Chapter 74: The Shibuya Incident! “Thirteenth Sister, Niece Maki.”

Tiny mosquito-sized mechanical constructs flew up before Nanami's squad the moment they stepped into the barrier.

"White Zetsu?!"

That familiar nickname made everyone instantly recognize who controlled the insects.

"Tch. Not that it'll make much difference."

"But I'll say this once anyway."

The mechanical insect flapped its delicate wings and slowly landed on Maki's shoulder.

"You should all go back. This city is about to turn into hell."

"This isn't a war you can take part in."

"Not just Shibuya—I'd advise you to leave Japan altogether."

"I figured as much."

Nanami pushed up his glasses, his expression solemn.

"Zenin Mirai… is also involved in this operation."

White Zetsu's appearance—and warning—snuffed out the last trace of hope in their hearts.

"You mama's boy!"

Nobara rolled up her sleeves and grabbed the insect in her hand.

"Even a weakling like you dares to join in? How little do you think of us?!"

Facing her glare, the voice from the insect grew a little more serious.

"I mean it."

"What lies ahead… is hell."

"Enough, White Zetsu. I'm not going to tuck my tail and run."

Maki's tone was resolute.

"Even if the opponent is… Brother Mirai."

"Sorry. I appreciate the warning, but I can't accept it."

Feeling the pressure already mounting, Nanami loosened his tie, his gaze firm.

There was no grand reason behind his decision to fight.

No lofty ambition to save innocent lives or protect national stability.

Nanami simply followed his own heart—choosing what he believed in.

Besides…

From the moment Mirai revealed his strength, Jujutsu High hadn't been completely unprepared.

"Fine. I knew this would be your choice."

White Zetsu let out a regretful sigh, and the light in the insect's eyes faded completely.

On the rooftop of a steel skyscraper, the evening wind howled.

"Personal feelings? Or bad taste?"

Overlooking the restless crowd below, Mirai spoke indifferently.

"Curses are born from human negative emotions… but I'm an exception."

"Leaning a bit toward ordinary human emotions isn't strange."

White Zetsu teased the caterpillar on his shoulder and chuckled.

"After all these years, all I've absorbed is pure cursed energy."

"Those stripped negative emotions… weren't they all taken by you?"

"No."

"To be precise—they were absorbed by your eyes."

Mirai gave no response. As if on cue, he vanished from where he stood.

Only those crimson pupils—under the moonlight—faintly revealed ripple-like white rings.

White Zetsu glanced at the now-empty rooftop and pulled out hundreds of mechanical insects from the caterpillar's mouth.

"After raising that 'Shizaō' for so long, it's finally of some use."

"The Inverted Spear of Heaven can't be replicated… but precise mechanical cursed tools? I've been preparing those for years."

With a flick, the thumb-sized insects scattered like celestial flowers, flying to all corners of the barrier.

In ten days, White Zetsu had completely taken control of Mechamaru's true body.

And after being infused with power from the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path, White Zetsu's cursed energy reserves now…

Data: Five thousand years.

Basement Level 5

The densely packed crowd resembled a writhing ant nest.

Floating midair, Satoru Gojo looked down at the hollow below before slowly descending.

His Infinity pushed people aside as he walked against the flow of the crowd, hands in his pockets, heading toward the platform.

"What?"

"Just you two small fries?"

Looking at the volcano-headed special grade curse and the special grade Death Painting Womb, Gojo's tone carried a hint of disdain.

Feeling the pressure directly from Gojo, Jogo's single eye showed a trace of tension.

Damn that Geto Suguru!

Damn that Zenin Mirai!

They kept saying everything would be fine—but now the target had arrived, and that guy still hadn't shown up.

"Boom!"

Jogo pointed with one hand—instantly igniting several humans nearby in towering flames!

"Don't even think about escaping, Gojo Satoru!"

"If you leave, every human here will die!"

Cursed energy surged in his palm as he threatened—while secretly retreating into the crowd.

No matter what, he had to stall Gojo first.

"Tch. What a hassle."

Gojo leaned forward slightly and charged straight into the crowd.

Deep within the subway platform, in the darkness—

Kenjaku glanced at his companion.

"Isn't this a bit too cautious? Waiting for Jogo and the others to make the first move?"

A faint crimson glint flickered in the dark as Mirai spoke calmly:

"Acting a little later doesn't count as breaking the binding vow, does it?"

"Consider it an appetizer—help Jogo rack up one more peak battle on his record."

Kenjaku narrowed his eyes slightly.

"So killing Hanami back then… was to force me to use you, my trump card, ahead of schedule?"

If Hanami were still alive, Mirai wouldn't have needed to act today.

Kenjaku could've used their previous binding vow to advance his next scheme.

"Think too much, and your brain might shrivel."

At the mention of the exchange event, Mirai's tone turned colder.

"Is that so? Then consider it my mistake."

Kenjaku's apologetic expression was flawless—worthy of an actor.

The two of them watched the battle unfold like moviegoers, chatting casually as if enjoying an action film.

"Slash!"

Seeing his right arm torn off effortlessly by Gojo, terror filled Jogo's eyes.

What looked like an action movie to the two observers…

Was a full-blown horror film to Jogo.

"Blood Manipulation: Piercing Blood!"

A crimson beam, nearly at the speed of sound, pierced through several humans' heads before shooting toward Gojo.

"Buzz—!"

The beam struck as if hitting an invisible steel wall.

Gojo's untouchable Infinity completely nullified Choso's attack.

The inherited technique of the Kamo clan?

Even if ineffective, it did draw some of Gojo's attention.

"Boom!"

Seizing the moment, Jogo ignited another explosion of flames in the distant crowd!

Humans—unable to see curses—could only panic and flee from the spontaneous fires, scrambling like headless flies.

"Domain Amplification!"

Breaking free from Gojo's pull, drenched in sweat, Jogo resumed his desperate escape.

"Ahhh!!!"

Panicked civilians were tossed into the air by Gojo one after another—only to land gently.

He could accept curses killing humans before his eyes.

But he would not allow it to be by his own hand.

The dense crowd was like countless stumbling blocks at his feet—

Again and again allowing Jogo to escape fatal blows.

It wasn't just the civilians who were terrified.

Having briefly experienced Gojo's overwhelming strength—

Jogo himself was on the verge of mental collapse.

The fewer humans there were as expendables, the more space Gojo would have to act.

To suppress Gojo's Domain, Jogo had to ensure the humans didn't die too quickly.

Glancing at the white-haired figure rapidly closing in—

"Still not here yet?!!"

The sense of death closing in, Jogo screamed at the top of his lungs!

At that exact moment—

Gojo tore off the bandage over his eyes and suddenly looked behind him.

"You're finally here."
