Shawn's eyes widened slightly at the explanation. So the system was giving him a chance to meet a woman who fits the system's description and also help her in her need.
He couldn't help but feel a bit excited about the prospect of meeting a model. He had never interacted with a model before, and he was curious to see what she looked like.
"Alright, then. Let's get going and save the damsel in distress."
Shawn quickly got up from the sofa and prepared himself to leave the house. He didn't have much to do anyway, so this was a perfect opportunity to go out and have some fun.
After checking himself in the mirror, making sure he looked presentable enough, he grabbed the keys to the family's spare car, a sleek black SUV, and drove out of the garage.
Following the map provided by the system, Shawn drove through the city streets, occasionally glancing at the GPS on his dashboard. The location was in the heart of downtown, not too far from the modeling agency where Layra worked.
Traffic was heavier than he expected, but he managed to arrive at the designated spot with about fifteen minutes to spare.
The area was busy with pedestrians and vehicles, making it difficult to find a parking spot. Eventually, he managed to squeeze into a small space a few buildings away from the location indicated on the map.
Once out of the car, Shawn looked around, trying to familiarize himself with the area. The street was lined with various stores and eateries, with people bustling about their business.
He walked towards the location, his hands shoved in his pockets, scanning the crowd for any sign of a woman who matched the description he had been given.
According to the system, Layra was 23 years old with long blonde hair and blue eyes. She was also tall, standing at around 5'9", and had a stunning figure that would make any man turn their heads.
So it shouldn't be too hard to spot her.
But as minutes passed, Shawn didn't see anyone who fit that description. He was starting to think that maybe he had missed her or that he had arrived at the wrong location.
But just when he was about to check the map again, he saw her.
A few meters away, a woman with long blonde hair was looking down at her phone while walking briskly towards him. She wore a simple white t-shirt tucked into skinny jeans, with a black leather jacket slung over her shoulder.
Despite her casual attire, she possessed a unique beauty that stood out from the crowd. Her facial features were delicate yet defined, with high cheekbones and a slender nose. Her lips were full and naturally pink, and her blue eyes were bright and expressive.
What caught Shawn's attention the most, however, was her height. She was indeed tall, with legs that seemed to go on for days. And her figure was perfectly proportioned, with curves in all the right places.
It didn't look like she was wearing any makeup, but her skin was flawless and glowing. She had a natural radiance that made her look like she was born to be in front of the camera.
Shawn found himself staring at her, unable to look away. And it wasn't just him. Several passersby, both men and women, turned their heads to get a second look at the stunning woman who walked past them.
But then, Layra accidentally stepped off the footpath without realizing it. Her attention was completely focused on her phone, and she failed to notice the uneven pavement.
"Ahhh..." With a sudden gasp, she stumbled forward, her phone flying from her grasp as her arms flailed in a desperate attempt to regain her balance.
Shawn's heart leaped into his throat when he saw a car turning the corner, heading straight towards her.
Without a second thought, he sprinted towards her, his legs pumping as he covered the distance between them in a few quick strides.
Just as Layra was about to fall onto the road, Shawn wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her back onto the sidewalk. The momentum caused them to both fall, but they landed on the pavement rather than the street.
Layra landed on top of Shawn, her body pressing against his as she struggled to catch her breath. Her blonde hair fell across her face, partially obscuring her features, but Shawn could still see the wide-eyed look of shock in her blue eyes.
The car that would have hit her screeched to a halt, the driver leaning out the window to yell something incomprehensible before speeding off. A few pedestrians stopped to stare, some pulling out their phones.
"Are you okay?" Shawn asked, his hands still on her waist.
For a moment, Layra didn't respond. She just stared at him with a confused expression, her mind trying to process what had just happened.
When she finally found her voice, it came out as a shaky whisper. "I... I think so. Thank you. You saved me."
She started to push herself up but winced as she put pressure on her right ankle. "Ouch!"
Concerned, Shawn helped her sit up properly, then shifted to examine her ankle. "Does it hurt badly? Did you twist it?"
"No, I don't think so. Just a little sore." Layra rotated her foot with a grimace. "I'm lucky you were there. I was so focused on my phone that I didn't even see where I was going."
"That's a dangerous habit to have, especially in this area." Shawn's gaze traveled to her scattered belongings on the sidewalk. "Let me help you gather your things."
