Echoes and terror spread across the kingdom after people learned about the appearance of a portal in a village of the city of Kosovo. The kingdom's people were warned and prepared for the coming threat, which indicated that the Demon King was indeed coming inevitably to the human world as he promised.
Soldiers were deployed across the kingdom, especially in the capital where the king resided. General Darius went to the village where the first demon portal appeared, which lasted barely a minute and was closed, as only weak-level demons passed through. It was just a message to the world and a small sacrifice to warn that something is coming.
Darius arrived at the village near Kosovo where the first portal appeared, along with some of his soldiers, to discover and understand the exact reason for the portal's appearance in this village. Most of the men of the Kingdom of Leonis possessed Mankion powers of wind and earth, allowing them to control the power of wind, while the earth style allows its wielder to manipulate the terrain.
But when Darius arrived at the village, the wielder of the Dragon King's power sensed a mysterious, incomprehensible feeling. It was not sensing a Mankion power; it was just a feeling, a sensation he had never felt before. He tracked that feeling until he and his soldiers reached its source.
Darius got off his horse, following this feeling, and said to the two soldiers with him:"Do you sense this feeling?"
One of his followers replied:"No, my lord. We do not sense any Mankion power in this house.
Darius replied:"It is not a Mankion aura, but a mysterious feeling I have never felt before. Strange to me."
"Honestly, my lord, I do not feel any sensation similar to yours. What do you think if we inspect this house?" (one of his knight replied)
Darius knocked on the door and said:"Is anyone here?"
The house was quiet and silent, different from other houses, and no one answered them.
Darius was about to open the door forcefully when suddenly Sazaki came out, opening the door for them.
Sazaki said:"Can I help you with something?" Noticing their clothes and swords, he understood they were soldiers of the kingdom because of their noble emblem.
Darius replied:"We are on a patrol to discover the secret of the appearance of the first demon portal. May I ask you a few questions?"
Sazaki answered with a frowning face because of what happened to him due to the death of his mother:"Where were you two days ago? Are you investigators or soldiers? What a mockery."
One of Darius' followers responded:"Respect yourself. Do you know who you are talking to? This is Darius, the first general of the kingdom, the strongest man."
Sazaki replied:"And yet, do these questions or your strongest man bring back my mother, who was killed by a demon from those demons? Leave me."
Darius said:"We truly apologize for your mother's death. It is not easy to lose a person, especially a mother. Did this happen here, inside the house?"
Sazaki calmed down a little after hearing Darius' calm response, despite his rough attitude due to what happened a few days ago:"Yes, it happened here in the house. I was the one who killed it."
Darius asked:"How is this possible? I do not sense any Mankion aura from you."
Sazaki did not tell anyone about the secret of the sword he found and decided to hide the truth. He answered:"I do not know how I killed it, but anger over my mother's death possessed me and allowed me to kill that demon."
Darius felt something unusual and said:"Can you give me a glass of water? I am extremely thirsty."
Sazaki went to get him a glass of water while Darius, at the door frame, went inside, inspecting the house. He saw a decorated black sword in Sazaki's house, knowing that the source of that feeling came from that sword. Darius tried to hold the sword, but he could not. It felt stuck to the ground; he felt resistance when trying to lift it but could not ,he decided to focus the Mankion Dragon's power in his right hand to lift the sword. Suddenly, darkness manifested before him, and he found himself in a vast, dark place. All he could see was a huge volcano. He could hear the sound of its crater as it erupted with flames.
Suddenly, a massive voice spoke:"How dare you touch the sword? Look at your station. Look at where you come from—from a volcanic crater, unfit for anything, forgotten, repulsive to humans. Do you think your status allows you to touch this sword? Do you dare to enter my kingdom? I will show you where you came from, you who know nothing of your past. I will show you the wretchedness of your past and your future."
