King Sargon called for a meeting, gathering all the ranking officials.
he did this in high hopes to meet Gilgamesh Sakkanakku.
The king has grown extremely suspicious of everyone, fearing to be attached to anyone, fleeing from trusting anyone, his confusion grows daily, making him closer to madness in just a few moment the kings hall is full.
King Sargon carefully scans the gathering using his eyes to search for Gilgamesh Sakkanakku but he could not find him.
King Sargon asks, "where is Gilgamesh Sakkanakku?" a man shouted from admits the crowd, [Man] "my king, it is in our ears as rumors, Gilgamesh Sakkanakku has gone mad."
Another man stood up in his defense to speak, [man 2] "it is a lie, we have only heard that he is in hiding, he has refused to be found, most people say that he will come out a changed man."
This statement caused the entire kings hall to erupt in laughter, and some began to speak one to another, "is it true, do you believe a man like Gilgamesh Sakkanakku will change? What is fit for him is death."
King Sargon spoke standing up from his throne, "has anyone gone out to look for him? I know he doesn't want to be found, we need him, he is Sakkanakku over Sparta, he has responsibilities, disappearing in such a manner is bad:
Aplahanda Sakkanakku, you have been awfully quiet, you are the man of information, as they say, "traders are tricksters " talk to us Aplahanda Sakkanakku, where is Gilgamesh Sakkanakku?"
Aplahanda Sakkanakku opens his mouth to speak, "my king, I have no knowledge of Gilgamesh Sakkanakku, but what intrigues me is that you care about him, talk to us, king Sargon, are you in love with a man that nearly killed you?
we need to know, for many days you have been restlessly In Love with a man that drag a bow against you, what if that person wasn't Gilgamesh Sakkanakku?
What if the person accused of treason was a low life or even kalumtum, what would you have done?"
The people in the king's hall began looking at the king in great expectations, desiring each an everyone of them an answer from the king.
Aplahanda Sakkanakku looked at the king and continued to speak, "I saw you that day, you where happy that for some reason we can not explain Gilgamesh Sakkanakku survived.
Don't tell me it was the gods that favoured him, we know it wasn't the gods, because if it is the gods, then tell me how comes the gods kills kalumtum and spares Gilgamesh?,
it has never happened before, the gods always kill, but all of a sudden the gods have seen who to favour".
The statement of Aplahanda Sakkanakku was earning him the minds of the crowd and some ranking officials.
Aplahanda Sakkanakku knew exactly what he was doing, knowing that if he can earn enough faith and trust from the people, it will be easier to carry out his faithful Ambitions.
King Sargon replied softly, drawing close to Aplahanda Sakkanakku, "watch your tongue young lad, you have no idea what happened that day with Gilgamesh, and I presume that you are jealous of Gilgamesh Sakkanakku because you think and feel like I favour him the most".
Aplahanda Sakkanakku interrupts, "or it is because the executioner is your brother."
Thisstatement of Aplahanda Sakkanakku caused the entire kings hall to murmur and gossip within themselves, this could change he tied of things.
It is a big secret that Aplahanda Sakkanakku has said out loud to the public, it is his plan to utterly destroy the king and remove him from the throne.
King Sargon replies, "how did you know."
Aplahanda Sakkanakku responds, "I know you bribed your brother to spare the live of Gilgamesh Sakkanakku, how much did you give him to make him betray the gods?,
tell us king Sargon, our interest is to know, we have all the time in the world, please speak."
King Sargon replies to Aplahanda Sakkanakku in anger, "you... You are amongst them that sought to spare Gilgamesh Sakkanakku, now you are hear accusing me of bribing the executioner, tell me, who can bribe the gods?
Besides I thought you genuinely love him and that is why you wanted his life spared, but now you act as though something is wrong with you."
Aplahanda Sakkanakku responds, "My king, it would have been better that he was spared when we all asked for him to be spared, than for him to escape the hands of the gods in such a manner, it has never happened before.
you must understand our doubts and fears, if something of this nature should befall any of us, we pray that the gods should ignore us and save us from their wrath.
you were the one that insisted that Gilgamesh be killed, we are simply worried why you are interested in what has befallen him.
this is why we feel like you are pretending to be strong and powerful before us, but maybe deep down inside you, you have lost your power and the only way for you to keep appearing powerful is to fool us and then bribe the gods."
King Sargon looks around him, observing the uprising within him and among the officials, he realizes, the speaking of Aplahanda Sakkanakku is tearing his kingdom apart, he is nearly forgetting that he is the king, the one with crown on the head.
Aplahanda Sakkanakku has turned the heart of his kingdom against him.
The crowd began chanting, "tell us what you did, king Sargon, if it was one of us, what would you have done? Would the gods have been so kind to spare us? We desire answers, speak to us oh king."
King Sargon opens his mouth and speaks, "call me Nabonidus."
After a dreadful silent fell on the kings hall, The butler yells, "Nabonidus is at the door!!"
The door opens and Nabonidus walks inside, the tension In the air is palpable, it felt like a dark force was in-between everyman, it could swallow you if you breath too fast.
Nabonidus bows and speaks, "my king, I am glad to see you once more after a long time."
king Sargon asks, "Nabonidus, do you remember the peom you did for me when you first entered my hall?".
"Oh yes my king, how can I forget," Nabonidus replied,
"very well, I will like you to do it again, there's something I need to remember, and your poem will help me."
King Sargon said this knowing it would put him on edge to speak the truth.
"Let me get to it then, it seems you are in a hurry to know" Nabonidus replied.
Then Nabonidus opens his mouth and began to speak, his voice quickly took over the hall, the smoothness of his voice, it calls out to the listener, battling with the heart, melting the soul and spirit whiles it paralyzes the flesh, it is amazing to hear him speak:
"I am a filed with extreme dryness, all my green is lost,
Is it the sun, that takes away the colour of the field?
Is it the field that takes away the smile of many playing children?
Do not the children know, that this fields where once battle fields filled with fallen soldiers?
Do not this fields know that it took the blood of many sons , of many father's , daughters and mother's?
Did not this fallen heros know, that this field will take them to the gods?
It has begun, the circle of life, the circle of bribe, the taking of brides.
The sun bribes the earth, it says "allow me take your freshness away, I will bring it again when the time is set"
The fields bribe the children, "play here with me, create memories with me so that when you are old you will come back to me"
The dryness of the field bribes the father's, saying, "do not speak to the children about today, so that they won't know that everything dies"
The heros where told, "go on to the great field, fight for your people, we will give you bags of gold"
It is a circle, and we all are bribed by gold or something that looks like gold,
In this circle everything dies.
