"Do you know what the consequences of betraying the kingdom are?" asked King Bvior in a serious tone to Eldoris, alone in his private room.
Eldoris sighed softly. "Father, I will not jeopardize this kingdom. I can confirm that she is a real Siren. I say this with my honor as Prince Siren. You can trust me," Eldoris said as he asked King Bvior for permission to retire.
King Bvior stared at the door where his son had just left. "I knew you were hiding something," he muttered.
Marella lay down on Eldoris' bed. She had said she wanted to sleep in another room, but Eldoris insisted on bringing her back to the man's room. If this was the human world, they would have been raided or worse, married off. Marella shook her head, her thoughts were so strange.
Marella lay on her stomach, playing with some very large and numerous pearls. She didn't know where Eldoris had collected them, but in the human world pearls were very expensive. She knew this was because Noel's family business was related to the sea. Marella even fantasized about bringing all these pearls to the mainland and becoming filthy rich. She smacked a pearl lightly against her head. Why was she still thinking about Noel? He must have been happy that Marella wasn't clinging to him or bothering him with Araya. She should have realized earlier how annoying it was to be a love slave like this.
Eldoris entered his room with a piranha fish beside him. He swam over to Marella who seemed to be lost in her own thoughts while lightly banging her head. "What's wrong with you?" asked Eldoris, who was now lying next to Marella. Marella was startled and reflexively threw a pearl at Eldoris, but the man quickly caught it.
"Since when have you been here?" asked Marella.
Eldoris turned his over onto her back, with her hands as a head cushion. "You didn't sleep?" he asked casually.
Marella rounded her eyes. How could she sleep in the same room with a man who wasn't wearing any clothes? Eldoris's nakedness kept ringing in her mind. She hurriedly averted her eyes and caressed the soft mattress. "Hey, this bed is so soft. What's it made of?" she asked.
"Sea sponges, and black jellyfish" replied Eldoris, making Marella glare while seeing that the black sponge she had been stroking all this time was a jellyfish sponge "Calm down, it's dead" said Eldoris seeing Marella's paranoid expression.
"hufh, okay" said slowly, Marella turned her body back to Eldoris she closed her eyes so as not to see Eldoris again, slowly Marella was sleepy and fell asleep.
Eldoris approached Marella and combed a few strands of hair that covered Marella's beautiful face, Marella's eyes were closed with a slightly open mouth indicating that the girl was asleep, Eldoris closed Marella's mouth using a shell that clamped both sides of Marella's lips, if Marella woke up it was certain that she would go berserk because her lips were cocked by a shell.
Eldoris closed his eyes slowly lying next to Marella in a tilted position like Marella then entered into dreamland.
The next day, Marella slowly opened her eyes when she felt something tickling her stomach. She looked down at her tingly stomach and immediately rounded her eyes. "Electric eel!" Marella shouted as she jumped up, looking at an electric eel whose face looked annoyed at her loud shout. "AAAAA!" Marella shouted again as the fish approached her. She didn't want to die by being electrocuted by a fish, rather die by the love of a handsome man.
The fish rolled its eyes lazily. "You siren child, I won't hurt others," said the fish in a voice that surprised Marella into screaming again. However, this time the fish quickly covered Marella's mouth using the tip of its body before her eardrums were completely ruptured. "Oh my, your voice makes my ears ring," the fish said, making Marella recoil in fear until she fell off the bed. Fortunately, it didn't hurt because they were in the water.
Marella touched her lips and was relieved that the fish's tail hadn't electrocuted her. "Where's Eldoris?" asked Marella, realizing that Eldoris was no longer lying next to her.
The electric fish pointed outside. "He has some sudden business," she replied. "Therefore, I was told to accompany you during his absence," the fish explained, making Marella frown. How could she go for a walk if the one accompanying her was an electric fish? It couldn't possibly help Marella swim. "It's time to eat," said the electric fish as it swam out, but Marella remained still, motionless, leaving the fish confused. "Aren't you hungry?" the fish asked.
Marella rolled her eyes, thinking Eldoris must have forgotten to explain her situation to the fish. "I can't swim," she said, which immediately made the electric fish laugh mockingly. "You're forbidden to laugh," Marella snapped irritably.
"No wonder Prince Eldoris told me to bring so many fish. Apparently the reason is because you can't swim," the fish said as it continued to mock Marella. Marella just narrowed her eyes in annoyance.
Suddenly the door opened, a group of fish entered Eldoris' room and swam quickly towards Marella. The startled Marella immediately covered her eyes with both hands, afraid of being swarmed by the fish. However, Marella didn't feel the fish crashing into her body. Instead, she felt like she was floating on water. Marella lowered her hands and opened her eyes, then saw the fish lifting her up to float on the water. An electric fish faced Marella and said, "My name is Lotus, let's go to the dining room." Lotus swam out first, followed by the group of fish carrying Marella's body.
Marella was seated in one of the chairs at the dining table. She gazed at the seaweed dish that looked more plentiful than yesterday with sparkling eyes. Her hand immediately grabbed the seaweed, put it in her mouth, and chewed quickly, savoring the taste of the seaweed on her tongue.
"You glutton," Lotus sneered with an amused face at Marella's eating style. Marella just sneered back and didn't care about the comment, then went back to eating her seaweed quickly.
The fish that brought her were still nearby, surrounding the table. Marella looked at them curiously. "Do you want to eat?" she asked, offering the seaweed. However, no one answered except Lotus.
"They eat different foods, obviously different from siren food," Lotus explained, swimming next to Marella.
Marella nodded in understanding even though her mouth was full of seaweed. After finishing her meal, she looked at Lotus with a sweet smile. Lotus was immediately on guard, fully aware that Marella was about to ask for something that she would definitely refuse. "Let's go to the mainland, shall we?" Marella asked. Lotus immediately shook his head firmly, making Marella pout while making a pitiable face like a puppy. Lotus could only pat herself on the face, giving up.
She let out a rough sigh and then put on a flat expression. "Alright, just for a moment," Lotus broke off, making Marella cheer happily. Lotus covered his ears with his tail, unable to bear the noise coming from Marella's lips.
Marella refused to be lifted back up by the little fish, feeling guilty that they had to lift her up together. Lotus simply complied with the mermaid's request and waited for the next request from Marella, who was now sitting on the sea rocks a little away from the palace building. Marella got up and tried to move her tail in the water slowly. It did not fall down, but stayed where it was, making her smile and cheer happily. "I can swim! Yeah!" Marella exclaimed, but instead she lost her balance and her body began to sink under the water.
Lotus who saw this immediately grabbed Marella's hair with his mouth, trying to pull her up. "You, if you can't swim, don't be reckless," Lotus snapped, while Marella seemed to be focused on seeing something under the water.
"Lotus, don't," Marella prevented Lotus from pulling her up. Lotus only showed a confused face. "I want to go down there," Marella said as she pointed towards the dark depths of the sea, right at a medium-sized hole down there.
Lotus glared. If anything happened to this creature, it would be the siren prince's lunch. "You can't be kidding, aren't you a child? Children are not allowed to swim into dangerous places," Lotus said in a warning tone.
Marella, who had arrived at the bottom of the sea, felt uncomfortable and had difficulty breathing due to the inhalation of water. She also found it difficult to move, but still insisted on resting on the plant, holding it tightly, and then pulling her body using the long plant that was there. She finally came to a large rock, where a pink dolphin lay weakly on it. Marella approached the dolphin and was about to touch it, but was stopped by Lotus' shout, "Don't! She must be from the Mermaid Kingdom," Lotus prevented as she swam over to Marella in a hurry.
"So what, he needs help, not a monster," Marella replied as she turned the dolphin around to face her. There were no wounds or other signs, but it was clear that the fish looked weak and powerless. Lotus moved closer to Marella's side, watching the dolphin.
"It must not be able to handle the water pressure in the deep sea," Lotus said, making Marella understand. She remembered the lesson from her science teacher about the pressure in the deep sea being dangerous for land and shallow water creatures. No wonder her own body was also feeling uncomfortable at the moment.
"Lotus, we have to lift her up," Marella said.
Lotus shook his head and said, "I can see that you can't stand the pressure of the deep sea either. You have to go up now," Lotus said with a worried tone towards Marella's condition.
However, Marella still insisted on her wish. She pulled out an underwater plant and tied its ends together to form a rope. After that, she tied the rope to the poor dolphin. "Okay, take me up, Lotus," Marella pleaded.
Lotus finally grabbed Marella's hair and slowly lifted her up while swimming upwards. "Don't move your head, or we won't be able to go up. I'm just a small fish, so I can't lift you up quickly," Lotus warned Marella.
After a few minutes, Marella returned to the surface while slowly pulling the dolphin using the tip of the plant she had been holding. "Lotus, help me," Marella pleaded in a somewhat distressed voice. Plus, she couldn't swim. Marella felt someone pulling her waist back, helping to push the dolphin up. Quickly, Marella turned around and saw a flat-faced Siren there.
"You... the one Prince Eldoris told me about?" asked the male Siren who seemed to be around Eldoris' age. He had dark green hair, gray eyes, and a dark green tail dominated by a deep black color. Marella nodded while staring at the man's stranger. If this person in front of her knew Eldoris, then she could ask him for help, right?
"Can you help me?" asked Marella, to which the man only replied with a questioning look. Marella pointed at the dolphin. "Help me. Can you cure it?" asked Marella again.
