Chapter 42 - Rulers of the Worlds 10

The TranslationArius looked sharply at Arisa, memories of the past on Planet Akrit flooding his mind—the time he first fought her and she nearly finished him off, if not for his transformation into the Cypher, which saved him for the first time.

Arius muttered:

— "Oh no… I can't believe it… I see your power has increased light-years beyond what it was on Akrit."

Arisa smiled wickedly and spoke in a sharp tone:

— "I trained solely for this day… the day I would exact my revenge on you, my dear."

Arlene jumped between them, expressing her annoyance:

— "Shut up! I didn't bring you here to fight your teammates!"

Arius and Raymos looked at Arlene in surprise, then asked:

— "How do you know her?"

Arlene answered in a calm voice:

— "Actually, I found this girl when she was a child; she was severely injured, as if she had just emerged from a cosmic war. She told me a young man nearly killed her and destroyed an entire planet over her head, but she managed to escape."

Arius paused for a moment, recalling the details of what happened, remembering how Arisa had begged him not to leave her alone on the planet that was on the verge of destruction. He smiled mockingly as he looked at her:

— "Weren't you the one who begged me to save you?"

Arisa glared at him, considering this an insult to her honor, and said:

— "Being helped by my enemy is not an honor, but a humiliation… and I will have my revenge on you soon."

Arius laughed coldly:

— "Just try; it won't be easy."

The verbal tension escalated between them as energy flared around them, until Arlene intervened firmly:

— "Enough! Wang, take them to the King's Land now, and travel across space immediately."

Wang moved quickly, prepared to transport everyone through space, while Arius, Arisa, and Raymos remained in constant tension, braced for whatever lay ahead in the confrontation with the coming King and the royal battle that would decide the fate of worlds.

During their journey through space, Raymos observed Arisa closely, scrutinizing every detail of her features and behavior. He realized immediately that she was not as she had been before; she had evolved significantly, her power increasing remarkably—not just a minor improvement as they had thought. Raymos whispered a warning to Arius:

— "Be careful… she has become completely different from the past."

Arius smiled calmly and said:

— "I know. We will be ready."

After about thirty minutes of travel, they reached a massive wormhole domain surrounding the area. After passing through it briefly, they emerged into a vast, colossal land extending to infinity; everyone's eyes widened at the sheer scale of the place.

Wang looked around and informed them:

— "This place is a simple estate of the King of Worlds… its area is estimated at trillions of light-years to its final edge."

Everyone landed on the ground, and a calm man appeared, his personality radiating both peace and power. Wang and Arlene bowed to him in respect, followed by Raymos, though he didn't know why. As for Arius, he refused to bow, as did Arisa, who smiled wickedly but also refused.

Arlene asked Arius to bow out of respect for the situation, but he refused again. She ordered Arisa to bow, but she also refused. The man smiled calmly and said:

— "No need… actually, I like these two personalities."

He then showed them their location and suddenly vanished, leaving everyone in awe of his majestic presence. Arlene stood up and pinched the ears of both Arius and Arisa for what they had done, while Arius felt something powerful from the man's presence.

He asked in a low voice:

— "Who is this man? I felt a terrifying aura from him."

Wang answered calmly:

— "That is my father, Arius… the Grand Master of all worlds, the deputy of the King of the Ten Worlds."

Arius sighed slowly and said:

— "I understand now…"

Everyone then headed toward the arena, which had grown to a massive size to accommodate the royal battle that would decide the fate of worlds. Eyes widened at its enormous scale, and a sense of challenge filled the air.

They noticed the arrival of warriors and rulers from other worlds. Whispers rose among them as Arius watched with a calculating eye, asking Wang about their identities. Wang smiled and said:

— "They are the rulers of the other worlds, just like Lady Arlene, but all of them are under the supervision of the Ruler of the Ten Worlds."

Arius turned to the crowds of rulers and fighters and realized immediately that they were high-caliber rulers, not just ordinary enemies. Each one's power suggested majesty and high combat experience.

Suddenly, he turned toward a distant spot where someone was calling his name in a familiar voice. He was shocked… it was Ayana, the version from this dimension, standing beside the Ruler of the Eighth World, shouting loudly:

— "Arius! I'm here! I will cheer for you with all my might!"

Arius forced a smile, feeling a mix of surprise and joy. Before he could approach, Arisa, his old enemy, came over mocking him:

— "Wow! Did you meet a girl that fast? I thought you were obsessed with me!"

Arius laughed sarcastically and replied:

— "Haha… funny talk from a weirdo like you!"

The two began bickering with words and mocking smiles, while Arlene froze at their repeated foolishness, saying to herself:

— "These two will never change…"

Suddenly, the atmosphere vibrated as energy dropped, and all eyes felt the dominance of the Ruler of the Tenth World. The Ruler descended, followed by three masked fighters and his personal assistant, causing the rest of the rulers to whisper among themselves; they felt something unnatural surrounding these fighters.

After a short while, the Grand Master announced the arrival of the Ruler of the Ten Worlds. Arius was anxious to see his appearance. When he appeared, all the rulers and fighters bowed in respect, except for Arius and Arisa, who stood firm.

The Ruler descended—a young man with a very simple appearance, looking like an ordinary human teenager, which greatly surprised Arius. The youth sat on his throne and looked at all the rulers, most of whom bowed before him. Since Arius remained standing, the Grand Master realized the extent of Arius's confidence and defiance.

Arlene trembled slightly and whispered to Arius:

— "Be careful… don't do it…"

But Arius didn't hear her. The atmosphere suddenly calmed, silence fell, and then the Ruler burst into a loud laugh that made everyone tremble from his power. The Ruler turned to the Grand Master and said with a smile:

— "I like this boy."

Arlene breathed a sigh of relief, nearly fainting, while Arius continued to stare at him with wonder and curiosity about the power and authority that young boy possessed.

The Grand Master then began announcing the names of the participating worlds, raising his voice to reach everyone in the massive world, saying with dignity:

— "The goal of this event is not just an ordinary challenge… it is to determine a single survivor. As everyone knows, these three worlds—the Sixth, Ninth, and Tenth—are classified as the worst in terms of power and organization. Therefore, they will be completely destroyed… however, Lord Karma's wisdom will show mercy to only one world: the world that wins this battle."

Voices rose in the place, and looks were exchanged between rulers and fighters. They suddenly realized that what was happening wasn't just a competition, but the fate of countless worlds and beings. Everyone fell silent for a moment, then the rulers took their seats, while Arlene urged Arius and the others to pay full attention and focus. Afterward, she and Wang headed to the rulers' seating area to oversee the event.

As for Arius, Arisa, and Raymos, they were transported to the massive arena, where lights illuminated every corner as if all of space were racing inside the venue. Upon their arrival, they began looking at the fighters from the other two worlds, watching the high-ranking warriors prepare. The cloaks of the Tenth World fighters were removed to reveal three prominent combatants, their faces looking majestic among the rulers' seats.

The Ruler of the Tenth World laughed softly as he watched the scene, saying to Arlene in a mocking tone:

— "Oh, look at this! She's the second strongest ruler here."

Arlene raised an eyebrow and replied with slight disdain:

— "And are you even among the top five to speak with such confidence?"

The Ruler's expression changed slightly, and he answered with high confidence:

— "Don't worry, my world's warriors will not disappoint me."

He then sat calmly in his seat, while everyone watched the situation with anticipation, realizing that the coming battle wouldn't just be a test of strength, but a test of the fate of entire worlds.

High above, Karma sat on his lofty throne, whispering softly to the Grand Master:

— "What about the Ruler of the First World? I didn't see her among the attendees…"

The Grand Master replied politely:

— "Forgive me, my Lord, but she refused to attend. She said it was a waste of time to watch mere weak worlds that are going to be destroyed."

Karma laughed softly, then added with a smile:

— "That's her habit; no matter… let's leave her be. Regardless, I see the current fighters are truly good. Tell me, what are their names?"

The Grand Master responded firmly:

— "As you wish, my Lord. From the Sixth World: Arius, Arisa, Raymos. From the Ninth World: Branco, Roka, Blade. And from the Tenth World: Jain, Judy, Casper."

A satisfied smile appeared on Karma's face:

— "Wonderful… it will be a truly enjoyable fight."

In the arena, Arius turned to Raymos as they observed the other fighters and said seriously:

— "Look at the fighters from the other worlds… they seem truly strong."

Raymos smiled mockingly as he replied:

— "Don't worry… we will crush them easily."

Arius smiled gently, realizing that the coming battle would not just be about physical strength, but a test of their experience, intelligence, and martial arts; every strike and every step would be decisive for the world's fate.

Arius stood firm, walking with calm steps toward the Ninth World fighters. He tried to be polite and smiled as he extended his hand to greet them, but the response was shocking:

— "Get out of here, we don't need friends!"

— "Do you think yourself worthy of addressing us?"

Their words were charged with rudeness and contempt; one of them even shoved his hand violently away. Arius stepped back slightly, maintaining his composure despite the anger igniting within him, then turned away without returning the insult.

He then headed toward the Tenth World fighters. Despite their apparent reserve, Casper replied with a calm smile and a slight bow, saying:

— "Pleasure to meet you… we look forward to fighting you."

Arius smiled with slight admiration for his respectful manner, but he noticed the others standing in stern silence, like an unyielding wall. He tried to steal a glance at one of them, and the most striking was the young man with the sharp gaze.

Casper caught those looks and leaned in to whisper:

— "That is Jain… the strongest warrior in our world. No one dares to provoke him."

Arius didn't hesitate and stepped directly toward him. But as soon as he approached, he suddenly felt a chill run down his spine, and heard a deep, cold voice behind him:

— "Get lost."

His body froze for a moment, his eyes widening as he turned to find Jain standing behind him! How did he get there so fast? He hadn't seen any movement, just a moment of total void, and then he found himself surrounded by an overwhelming presence. Arius took a step back, his face losing color slightly, while Jain stared at him mercilessly before repeating with deadly coldness:

— "I said… move."

Arius had no choice but to return, his features pale as he walked back to Raymos and Arisa. Raymos noticed the concern on his face and asked seriously:

— "What happened?"

Arius smiled faintly and shook his head, saying:

— "Nothing… nothing happened."

But inside, his heart was beating with unusual speed… this man was not normal.

While the atmosphere was still tense, a violent tremor shook the entire ground. The vast walls of the cosmic collisions shuddered, and the horizon itself seemed to wave. Everyone raised their eyes toward the sky, which split open with a massive light falling like a meteor.

The place froze; silence filled the hall. Then the truth was revealed:

It was the Ruler of the First World… Nahira.

She walked with slow steps, her personal assistant by her side, appearing to carry a supernatural presence. Her impact was so crushing that all the warriors fell to the ground from the pressure of her energy alone; even Arius and his companions found themselves on their knees, sweating and unable to resist.

Karma rose from his throne, his voice rising as he called to her with a rare smile:

— "Nahira… you actually came!"

But she gave him little attention, looking at him with merciless coldness and saying:

— "Yes… I felt bored, so I came to waste some time."

She then continued her majestic walk and sat in a seat reserved for her alone among the rulers, leaning back as if she saw no one equal to her value. Arrogance was etched into her features, and her coldness was as shocking as ice.

As for Karma, he was filled with immense happiness, as if he had obtained something he never expected… Nahira's personal presence.

After everyone entered the arena floating in the infinite void, the referee announced the start of the fight. Arius stood firm beside Raymos and Arisa, while the echo of Wang's voice whispered to his lady, Arlene:

"I hope, my lady, that these three harmonize, for they are not coordinated at all."

Arlene was flustered for a moment, then shouted loudly to Arius:

"Arius! You and those with you, coordinate well and do not separate!"

Arius looked toward her, then turned to his companions, saying:

"What is she saying?"

Arisa smiled mockingly:

"Perhaps she wants to give us a lesson in martial arts."

But at that moment, when Nahira heard the name "Arius" spoken by Arlene, she froze in her place… something awakened her old memory; that name was not strange to her… it was familiar to the point of pain!

She began staring toward the arena, scrutinizing the fighters one by one, until her gaze fell upon him… Arius… her former servant, the boy she had raised with her own hands one day!

Her features became fixed, her eyes widened, and she let out a gasp that shook her heart:

"No… impossible… is that you?!"

Her assistant noticed her sudden confusion and asked anxiously:

"My lady, are you alright?"

Nahira smiled a terrifying smile, as if seeing a ghost returned from the past:

"I found him…"

Her assistant raised his head toward the arena, and when he saw Arius himself, his eyes widened too… As for Nahira, she whispered in a broken voice, heard only by herself:

"So you didn't die… you cunning fox… I knew your death wouldn't be that easy!"

Then suddenly, she stood from her place to scream in front of everyone, a scream that terrified both rulers and fighters alike:

"So you are alive, you traitorous eye!"

Silence fell over the place, and all eyes turned toward her in bewilderment… The rulers and fighters alike did not understand who she meant.

Raymos said, surprised:

"What is wrong with that ruler?! And who does she mean?"

Arius answered coldly, knitting his brows:

"I don't know… but focus on the fight now."

Nahira's assistant approached her, trying to calm her down:

"My lady, sit down… you are arousing suspicion before the others."

Nahira regained her composure with difficulty, sat down again, and hid her agitation behind a mask of calmness… while inside her, a violent storm was raging.
