Jace had his one hand on the Black Book as he muttered: "The person who wrote this book... the person who wrote..."
Within the half-asleep state, Jace saw numerous images of different people writing in the book at different places.
Soon, he opened his eyes and straightened up.
Rather than different people, it was basically a Faceless writing the book while putting on different faces. Few faces that were the same, appeared more than once, which meant they were marionettes...
Jace sighed as he tapped the book with his hand.
All in all, his divination was useless, proving only the fact that the person who wrote this book was indeed a Marionettist—which Jace already suspected.
But this was expected, as what Jace searched for was 'who wrote this book,' and the dream showed that it was written by a Faceless who was a Marionettist as well.
Jace turned his head and looked behind him where his marionette Christoph stood. "Christoph, you're up."
"Certainly, sir." Christoph stepped forward near the desk, took the Winner stopwatch Jace handed him, picked up the Black Book in one hand, and pulled out a crystal orb in the other.
As an Astrologer, his marionette was better at divining locations, but since the subject of the divination was a Sequence 5 of the Seer pathway, it was still going to be difficult.
But there was a trick...
"Where is the person who wrote this book... where is the person..." Christoph muttered seven times in ancient Hermes.
The crystal ball in his hand started glowing; just then, the space around his hand holding the crystal ball rippled.
"Magnify!"
After returning from Trier, Jace had once again recorded four demigod powers form Chatherine, and right now he made his marionette use 'Magnify' on his divination!
Soon, images flickered in the glowing orb: images of winter, stone walls, and orderly streets—a city different from what Jace had seen in Backlund or Trier.
Then he saw images of people there, exceptionally tall and bulked up, wearing thick and heavy wool coats.
He then saw a few particular places that could be used to identify the precise location.
One thing Jace was certain of was that the images he saw in the crystal ball belonged to a city in the Feysac Empire!
A few minutes later, after performing more divinations and going through Christoph's memories again, Jace found out that the city he saw in the crystal ball was St. Millon, the capital of the Feysac Empire!

As Jace made his marionette in the basement perform divinations, he sat on the couch in the living room.
Jace had a blank expression on his face...
'So... what now? Am I just supposed to go to St. Millon and find the Marionettist?' Jace wondered.
Going to Feysac without any preparation hardly seemed right, but there was also the problem of the Marionettist simply leaving the city...
After some thought, Jace made a decision: 'Going there right now is the right thing to do...'
His divinations had only shown a few landmarks in St. Millon, but Jace decided that was enough.
For now Jace only hoped that the marionettist was not alerted by the particular divinations performed by jace about him, but then again he had used the 'winner' stopwatch so it should be fine...
After going to Feysac, it was likely that it would take a few days before Jace found the Marionettist. But finding the Marionettist himself was not a problem; in fact, it was perhaps the simplest part.
Jace would only have to go to St. Millon and live around the landmarks he saw in the crystal ball divination, leaving the rest to the law of Beyonder characteristic convergence.
Jace leaned forward with his hands interlocked on his knees; a dark smile appeared on his face.
Two Sequence 5 Marionettists in the same city? 'Oh, this is going to be interesting.'
Jace's heart was beating faster just wondering how things would go when he encountered the Marionettist.
His plan was simple: when he was near the Marionettist, he would likely be alerted by his intuition. A Marionettist was likely to have a marionette, and because of that, he could easily be found by another Marionettist who could see Spirit Body Threads. Through this, it would be easy for Jace to figure out who was a marionette near him and who held its strings!
Then, Jace would find the opportunity to use the Prometheus Ring to steal the 'Spirit Body Threads Control' power from the Marionettist, rendering him unable to control his marionette or make a new one.
Then Jace would reveal himself and turn the Marionettist into his own marionette and hence create marionette inception!
'It's a master plan!... Well, it's a bit too simple to be called a master plan... but...'
His opponent was a Sequence 5 Marionettist, and likely an experienced and fully digested one at that. It was probable that he had good marionettes and was stronger, more cunning, and sharper than Jace.
His plan... would likely not work. Frustrated, Jace ran his hands through his hair and clutched it. 'Hopefully he's a fraud like Rosago... Ugh, who am I kidding, I'm not that lucky!... Should I get another temporary marionette?'
Soon, his excitement faded and Jace's mind became frantic with all kinds of thoughts. He even considered calling his demigod girlfriend Catherine to come with him, but he instantly rejected the idea.
'Calling your demigod girlfriend to take care of a Sequence 5? C'mon, Jace, you're better than that!'
Soon Jace calmed down as he realized he was overthinking. Even if he had only one marionette, that marionette was from one of the most versatile pathways. Not only that, his main strength lay in the artifacts he possessed.
He had a collection of multiple artifacts corresponding to different pathways and all sorts of abilities; beyond that, he also had two peculiar artifacts related to luck—and luck was a crucial factor in the Beyonder world.
For now, he walked into his bedroom and decided to get some rest, It was still midnight.
Tomorrow, he would go to Feysac.
