Chapter 55 - Chapter 55: “The Arrest”

Rain.

Cold.

Violent rain.

The entire city looked dead under the black midnight sky.

Red and blue police lights flashed across the wet streets like warning signs from hell itself.

Outside the abandoned warehouse…

More than twelve black SUVs surrounded the building.

Snipers took positions.

Guns raised.

Every exit blocked.

Inside the warehouse, silence.

Only the sound of water dripping from the broken ceiling.

Maya stood near the shattered window, breathing heavily.

Her hands were shaking.

Not from fear.

From confusion.

From heartbreak.

And in the middle of the dark room…

Arman Khan stood completely still.

Expressionless.

Cold.

Dangerously calm.

The glow from his smartwatch reflected inside his eyes.

SECURITY BREACH DETECTED.

TRACE COMPLETE.

LOCATION EXPOSED.

Maya looked at him.

"What is happening…?"

No answer.

Arman slowly closed the laptop in front of him.

The screen went black.

Just like his face.

"They found me," he said quietly.

Maya's chest tightened.

"Who found you?"

This time…

Arman finally looked at her.

And Maya instantly felt something terrifying.

That look in his eyes…

It wasn't fear.

It was acceptance.

Like a man already prepared to lose everything.

"The Cyber Crime Bureau," he whispered.

Thunder exploded outside.

Maya stepped closer.

"No… no, you said this place was safe."

"It was."

"Then how—"

Arman didn't answer immediately.

Instead, he stared toward the rain outside.

Thinking.

Calculating.

Remembering.

And then…

Only one name came into his mind.

Kabir.

Silence.

Dangerous silence.

Maya noticed it instantly.

"Arman…"

His jaw tightened.

"Kabir talked."

The words felt heavy.

Painful.

Almost impossible to say.

Maya froze.

"What?"

"He gave them my location."

"No… Kabir would never do that."

Arman laughed softly.

But there was no happiness in that laugh.

Only exhaustion.

"Everyone breaks eventually."

Outside—

A loudspeaker echoed through the rain.

"ARMAN KHAN!"

"This area is surrounded!"

"Surrender immediately!"

Maya's heartbeat became faster.

Everything suddenly felt real.

Too real.

She grabbed Arman's arm.

"We have to leave now."

"No."

"What do you mean no?!"

"They already blocked every road."

"There has to be another exit!"

Arman slowly removed her hand from his arm.

His touch was gentle.

That hurt Maya even more.

For the first time tonight…

He looked human again.

Tired.

Broken.

Empty.

"I'm done running," he said quietly.

Maya stared at him in disbelief.

"No…"

"I'm tired, Maya."

"You can still escape!"

"And then what?"

His voice suddenly became colder.

"More blood?"

"More lies?"

"More people dying because of me?"

Maya couldn't speak.

Because deep inside…

She knew he was right.

Arman walked toward the table and picked up a black handgun.

Maya's eyes widened.

"No…"

But Arman simply removed the magazine.

Then the bullets.

One by one.

Clink.

Clink.

Clink.

The bullets fell onto the table.

Empty.

He placed the gun down.

"I won't fight them."

Maya felt tears burning her eyes.

"You said you'd survive."

"I lied."

Outside—

Heavy footsteps approached the warehouse.

The sound of metal doors opening.

Radio communication.

Loaded rifles.

The hunters were getting closer.

Maya suddenly grabbed his shirt desperately.

"Listen to me!"

Her voice cracked.

"You are not a monster!"

Arman looked at her silently.

"You hear me?!"

"You saved people!"

"You protected me!"

"You gave everything for others!"

"Stop acting like your life doesn't matter!"

For a moment…

Something inside Arman's eyes trembled.

Emotion.

Pain.

Humanity.

But it disappeared again.

"You still don't understand who I really am."

"Then tell me!"

Silence.

The rain became louder.

And then finally…

Arman spoke.

"When I was nineteen…"

"My first hack destroyed a man's life."

Maya stayed still.

"I exposed a politician's secret accounts."

"The internet called me a hero."

"But three days later…"

Arman's voice became weaker.

"That politician's daughter killed herself."

Maya's breathing stopped.

"I didn't know she existed."

"I didn't know my leak would destroy an entire family."

"So don't tell me I'm a good person."

His eyes looked dead now.

"I stopped being human a long time ago."

Maya's tears finally fell.

"No…"

But before she could speak again—

BANG!

The warehouse door exploded open.

Armed officers stormed inside.

"DON'T MOVE!"

"GET ON YOUR KNEES!"

Laser sights covered Arman's body instantly.

More than twenty guns pointed directly at his head.

Maya screamed.

"STOP!"

An officer grabbed her violently and pulled her away.

"LET ME GO!"

Arman didn't resist.

Didn't move.

Didn't even blink.

The commander stepped forward slowly.

A tall man with sharp eyes and a scar across his neck.

Director Sameer Rahman.

The man who had hunted Hidden SEO for four years.

"So," Sameer said coldly.

"The ghost finally surrendered."

Arman smirked faintly.

"You took long enough."

Officers forced him onto his knees.

Metal handcuffs clicked around his wrists.

The sound echoed through the warehouse.

Final.

Humiliating.

Heavy.

Maya felt like her heart shattered hearing it.

This was real.

The legendary Hidden SEO…

Captured.

Sameer crouched in front of Arman.

"You caused national cyber attacks."

"Financial collapses."

"Government leaks."

"Multiple deaths."

He leaned closer.

"Tell me why I shouldn't put a bullet in your head right now."

Arman smiled weakly.

"Because I'm not your real problem."

Sameer's expression changed slightly.

"What does that mean?"

But Arman stayed silent.

Two officers dragged him upward.

Maya broke free from another officer and ran toward him.

"ARMAN!"

Everyone turned.

Rain blew inside the warehouse violently.

Maya stopped directly in front of him.

Crying.

Broken.

"Please…"

Her voice collapsed completely.

"Please don't leave like this."

For the first time…

Arman looked directly into her eyes.

And the coldness disappeared.

Only for a second.

Only one second.

But it was enough.

Enough for Maya to see the real him hiding underneath all the darkness.

A lonely man.

A tired man.

A man begging silently for peace.

Then Arman leaned closer carefully.

As if whispering a secret.

His lips moved beside her ear.

And he whispered—

"Trust nobody inside Orion."

Maya froze instantly.

Her eyes widened.

What?

Before she could ask—

Officers pulled him away.

"MOVE!"

Maya screamed again.

But Arman never looked back.

Not once.

Outside—

The storm became violent.

Media vans flooded the streets.

Cameras everywhere.

Reporters shouting.

"The Hidden SEO has been arrested tonight!"

"This is the biggest cyber-crime capture in recent history!"

Flashlights exploded across Arman's face as officers dragged him toward the armored vehicle.

People watched from behind barricades.

Some looked terrified.

Some looked excited.

Some looked hateful.

To the world…

He was a criminal.

A cyber terrorist.

A monster.

But Maya stood there in the rain…

Knowing the truth was far more dangerous.

Because Arman's final words kept repeating inside her head.

Trust nobody inside Orion.

Orion.

The powerful tech organization.

The same company connected to secret government projects.

The same company Arman hacked repeatedly.

Suddenly—

Maya remembered something horrifying.

Kabir worked with Orion before meeting Arman.

Her blood turned cold.

No…

No way.

The pieces slowly started connecting inside her mind.

And for the first time tonight…

Maya realized something terrifying.

Maybe Arman didn't surrender because he lost.

Maybe…

He surrendered intentionally.

Inside the armored vehicle, Arman sat silently with handcuffs around his wrists.

Rain hit the window beside him.

An officer sat across from him holding a rifle.

"Game over," the officer muttered.

Arman slowly looked outside at the city lights.

Expression unreadable.

Then quietly…

Very quietly…

He smiled.

Because the real plan…

Had only just begun.
