Alessandro stepped out of the bedroom, the heavy door clicking shut behind him. Two of his trusted guards were already waiting in the hallway like they were meant to. He stared at them sternly before ordering,
"Stay here and Guard the door. No one goes in or out unless I say so."
"Yes, boss," they answered in unison.
He walked away anger and frustration boiling under his skin.
Marco followed quietly a few feet behind, observant as always. He could tell something was eating at Alessandro tonight — more than just the stunt Elena had pulled at the restaurant. Did something happen between them in the room after he carrried her in?
But it wasn't his place to ask anyway so he shut up.
They soon reached the exclusive top-floor bar of the hotel. Dim golden lighting, black marble, blood-red leather, and a sweeping view of Milan's glittering skyline. Alessandro shrugged off his jacket, tossing it carelessly onto the stool beside him before dropping heavily into his seat.
