Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: You... are Assassins, right?

The uninvited guest who entered the cave was an elder who looked to be around forty or fifty years old.

Despite the kind smile on her face, her presence was exceptionally strong. Even Esdeath, the weakest among the three, could detect the abnormality in her, let alone Cerydra and Hysilens.

What is with this person?

Esdeath frowned. This elder had an indescribable air of composure, as if she were extremely confident in her own strength and completely disregarded the three of them.

"I didn't expect people to be here already... The snow is too heavy outside, you don't mind this old woman bringing her family in to hide for a bit, do you?"

Through her narrowed, slit-like eyes, the elder constantly sized up the three people hiding in this small mountain cave, then turned her gaze toward Cerydra.

The other party's clothing was extremely magnificent, and she possessed a very obvious aura of a high-ranking person. She was clearly the leader of this three-person team and had the power to make decisions.

"Since it's to avoid the blizzard, of course there's no problem."

Cerydra rarely didn't look at the other party, instead huddling inside her cotton quilt, gathering with Hysilens, Esdeath, and the others.

"In that case, many thanks... You guys! Hurry up and move the things in!"

At the elder's shout, the figures outside the cave also brought their carriage inside. The people who entered afterward also sized up Cerydra's group.

The other side... isn't simple!

Whether it was Cerydra's group or the elder's group, both could judge that the other party possessed significant strength. However, because they currently had no conflict of interest, they chose to ignore other factors and not interfere with each other.

In any case, after this blizzard, they would go their separate ways and might never have the chance to meet again.

They were all strangers; there was no need to make things so tense!

Cerydra and that elder judged the situation almost the instant they made eye contact and reached this agreement.

Should it be called the tacit understanding of the strong?

Cerydra had originally intended this as well, until the appearance of a certain person made her abandon her previous thoughts...

This group was almost entirely female, with a carriage that wasn't very large. They looked somewhat like traveling merchants, but with subtle differences...

Although the leading elder was forty or fifty years old, from the moment she entered the cave, whether moving things or doing anything else, she made no wasted movements. Her techniques were extremely seasoned.

It was clear she was a rare expert!

As for the other three females, they were all young girls, likely around ten years old... and the one who attracted Cerydra's gaze the most was undoubtedly a young girl with orange hair.

Cerydra knew this person, and Hysilens knew her too.

Anyone who had seen 'akame ga kill' would have a deep impression of this person. Even if the age difference was somewhat large, it didn't affect the judgment of her identity at all.

That was Lollipop...

No, it was Chelsea!

That's right, a future member of the assassination organization Night Raid, the beautiful girl Assassin who possessed the 'Phantasmagoria: Gaea Foundation'.

Compared to her mature future self, the current girl was still slightly green; she had likely only recently started out.

As if sensing Cerydra's gaze, Chelsea, with a lollipop in her mouth, looked at the child about the same age as herself nearby, then smiled and waved, sending a friendly signal.

To this, Cerydra returned a smile.

If Chelsea hadn't been in this team, Cerydra certainly wouldn't have been able to immediately determine the group's identity; she would have only thought they were hidden experts.

But with Chelsea's appearance, plus the elder with significant strength before her, their identity was practically shouting to be known.

The resistance's assassination unit!

An organization that never appeared in the main story of 'akame ga kill' but appeared in the prequel 'Akame ga Kill Zero'.

Although they nominally belonged to the resistance and had countless ties to it, these girls' actual identity was the Assassination Society 'Oarburgh', the organization that helped the resistance train Assassins.

Who would have thought? A surprise force actually appeared just like that!

Just a moment ago, she was worried that it would take a long time to control the Northern Country. Caesar even felt this mission would last a very long time. Who would have thought she would actually encounter this unexpected chess piece?

The Assassination Society 'Oarburgh'... how exactly should they be used to maximize their utility?

Considering Chelsea's talent and the strength of various characters in the Assassination Society, Cerydra constantly simulated in her mind, thinking about how to maximize the benefits.

When the final chess piece in Cerydra's heart fell, a smile thoroughly bloomed on the girl's face. She had found a way!

A method to shorten a plan that would have taken over a decade to control the North down to two or three years!

Who would have thought? To actually encounter such experts here!

Just as Cerydra could feel the old woman's strength, the old woman could likewise feel the sense of pressure from the other party.

If she chose to act against them, it would inevitably cause unnecessary trouble. Since they didn't know each other anyway, why not let this memory become a pleasant one rather than a bloody slaughter?

Simply put, if you can't beat them, don't look for trouble!

The old woman named 'Barbara Oarburgh', after exchanging looks with Cerydra, also warned her disciples not to look for trouble, lest both sides suffer.

Their Assassination Society had an extremely important mission in the Northern Territory Empire; it absolutely could not be delayed by minor matters!

Although the three people before her were very strong, as an Assassin, Barbara had long ago memorized those with strength within the Empire, and Cerydra's group didn't match any of them... meaning they weren't people of the Empire, so there was no need to conflict with them.

After all, their Assassination Society was only cooperating with the resistance, and what they were resisting was only the Empire. There was no need to clash with other forces.

Adhering to the principle of seeing through things without speaking out, Barbara acted as if nothing were wrong, moving their goods with her three disciples. They soon moved everything into the cave.

It was precisely at this moment that a voice suddenly came from within the cave, making the movements of several people moving things go stiff.

Clearly, saying nothing would have been beneficial for everyone, but that petite girl chose to pierce through this layer of paper and bring everything into the open...

Now, the situation had become tense!

"You... should be Assassins, right?"
