Cultivators:
Humans who temper their inner cores by interacting with the world's essence, striving for the ultimate evolution of both soul and body.
Demonic cultivators:
Apostates who have forsaken their humanity to serve the Demon Race. Long suppressed and driven to the fringes of society, they seized the onset of the Apocalypse to wage a war of annihilation against the remnants of mankind. Known for their extreme cruelty and sadistic nature, they are masters of deception, often hiding their true malice behind a calm facade.
Demons:
Legendary entities of ancient myth that once ravaged the continent. Their nature is so alien that any attempt to decipher their intent meets an insurmountable wall of incomprehension. Their mastery over magical technology and cultivation is so advanced that even the mightiest human experts lose their sanity trying to grasp their secrets. For the weak and common folk, a Demon's mere presence is a death sentence.
Overlords (The Bureaucracy):
The backbone of the Dragon Empire's administration. As the core of the imperial bureaucracy, they wield immense power and heavy responsibilities. They are loathed by righteous cultivators and commoners alike for their rampant corruption and boundless egocentrism.
Merchants
A faction forged by necessity due to the vast, perilous distances between cities. They control the Dragon Continent's economic lifeblood. Utilizing the pinnacle of human magical technology, they ensure logistics and trade persist across the empire's fractured territories.
CULTIVATION REALMS & TERMINOLOGY
Qi
A fundamental form of existence that is neither pure energy nor solid matter, yet permeates all things. No scroll or treatise in existence contains a definitive description of its true nature.
the path of advancement:
By interacting with the world, a cultivator triggers successive stages of Core Evolution. Each evolution brings a meteoric rise in power, but the threshold for the next stage grows exponentially higher. The most effective catalysts for growth are:
-Life-and-death battles against other cultivators.
-Forcing one's will upon society, nature, and the world itself.
-Constantly defying one's own limits and the laws of the world.
The Mechanics of core Evolution:
The cultivator attunes themselves to the world.
The Inner Core is saturated with Qi.
Upon reaching critical mass, the core undergoes a spontaneous Evolution.
Rankings of Power:
A master's strength is measured by the number of completed evolutions:
-First Evolution Core
-Second Evolution Core
-Third Evolution Core, and so on.
Those who have completely saturated their core but have not yet triggered the qualitative leap are known as Peak experts:

- Peak Second Evolution
Martial Techniques:
Specialized methods of mental Qi manipulation that allow a practitioner to command the elements and the very laws of the universe (e.g., controlling primordial flame or frost).
Demonic Corruption:
A phenomenon caused by the overwhelming density of a Demon's Qi. Their mere presence warps the fabric of reality; the surrounding environment takes on the Demon's attributes—instantly freezing or erupting into flames. This "domain" inevitably brings certain death to all life caught within its reach.
