Killian's legs stiffened when he made eye contact with her. He hated how he had met her only twice yet her golden eyes were already too familiar.
"So that is why."
There was no glacier or dead body. Only a temperate heat remained within the arena and a dying light from her hands. 'The heat of light must've melted the glacier.'
Killian tore his gaze away from hers, and stepped away from the entrance. He searched for his brother but only spotted Reginald outside the wet arena.
He looked back in time to see the lady walking out of the arena. A swarm of young Wardens rushed, calling out to her.
"Lady Radiance!"
"My Lady, over here!"
"My Lady, you're so cool!"
Killian watched them with mild amusement. It was as if they would be satisfied with a glance from her.
With their enthusiasm, some might pass out from joy if she touched them or spoke to them.
